  1. I thought this man is (was) an elder in one of the most prominent Churches? Nonetheless, a man of his age should surely lead by example

    • Fairly speaking wives just have to understand that you cant have the whole man to yourself alone.

In this era no man belongs to one woman, period. Uchende wa mwamuna siuononga nyumba.

Lets stick to our tradition and the Chiefs and Traditional affairs Minister has got to take the lead in this awareness campaign. Let wives accept that times of having the whole man to themselves is long gone.

The message is share and learn to share.

    • I hope he is kicked out of Parliament once he is charged….I wonder where that Godfreh lady minister of religion is? Zambians need to stand together on this issue …there is noway this man should be calling himself a lawmaker he should be out of Parliament ASAP.

    • @Chitapankwa; then let our girls hookup with the Chinese freely. Kaili China there is a deficit in women. I have no respect for small-balled men who beat women. If you are fed up with her, just divorce her and move on with your next concubine you dead beat. And by the way your kind of thinking is what has wiped off a whole generation of men and women with AIDS in Africa. Always thinking with the wrong head!

    • Actually, it’s very easy to fire him. You don’t need to wait for PF or Lungu to do this.

THE CONSTITUENT SHOULD COME TOGETHER AND RAISE A VOTE-OF-NO-CONFIDENCE. IF I AM NOT WRONG, I BELIEVE YOU ONLY NEED ABOUT 500 SIGNATORIES.

He was not employed or sent to parliament by PF or Lungu. He was employed by constituent. So if there is anyone from Chifubu/Ndola, just start the movement to kick this guy out. Period !!</strong?

THAT'S WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU TOLERATE AND BEAR GUYS LIKE GODFREY BWALYA MWAMBA (GBM) BACK INTO FRONT-LINE POLITICS.

    • Sir INDEPENDENT OBSERVER 1.4

Nicely worded. Lets give the power to the people to fire this savage. If we dont, PF will not fire him.

    • I’ve said it before that The Ministry of National Guidance must set up an office at Parliament Hotel to counsol and monitor these male MPs be they ruling or opposition because they are all the same and are a danger to society and family life because they are too promiscuous.

    • The fooool has pleaded not guilty and bail granted…they should have let him spend weekend in there…adjourned to July 11th.

  2. Our laws are weak on essential things. There is no way people this guy and GBM could still be in politics in civilized societies. Let’s have bye elections to NDC can have two seats.

    • The problem is we are country of hypocrites …a RTSA Director admits to Dangerous driving and he is still in the position and not sacked because his boss the Minister of Transport was also involved in Dangerous and Drink driving where he damaged a GRZ vehicle and was not fired as the President LAZY LUNGU didnt see anything wrong with it. You see how this cycle of cavalier and mediocrity is perpetuated…this is the same with corruption.
But Guess what? PF will not fire this guy and risk another by-election in CB…they will just warn him that dont hit women very hard the same way some elders tell their couples.

  3. The family of the wife don’t involve much into this matter, because one day these people they will reconcile , and how are you going to look?I’m not saying that you should not be involved into this issue, but what is important is the boundary in this case.the mp to beat wife ,I think it is not good apart from that he is a law maker but he is the one breaking the law.change bwana mp.

    • What are you saying all am reading is that you are sat on the fence regarding this issue where that woman couldnt even walk …to hell if the reconcile he needs to made an example and kicked out of PF by the MCC this is where women in the Party like Veep needs to take a lead.

    • Halfpant, I have seen people reconcile and cheerleaders get disappointed. GBM was in UPND and you had no issue with wife battery, now that he is in PF you are opening your mouths.Hypocrites. Ngambi don’t let your position spoil you marriage.Respect your wife and know that AIDS is real

  4. He thought he was beating a UPND cadre ka, when we say violence resides in PFoools, you argue the point !!!! cage the moron

    • Where is the women’s lobby and those NGOs…if its Simon Mwewa tells a woman street-vendor to pick up rubbish you are on him like white on rice.

  5. Primitive tendencies have no place in our modern society. Let the full wrath of the law be upon this failed leader!

    • The wife is selfish. She cant have the whole MP to herself alone. She has got to understand the men are scarce and that we will just have to embrace sharing.

  6. A Lawmaker who breaks the Law should automatically be disqualified from the position of MP! Doesn’t the MP know the Law against Gender-Based Violence? What example is he giving to the young men? That it’s okay to assault ladies for whatever reason? Supposing this is your daughter being assaulted by your son in law, how would you feel as the father to see your daughter in that condition? It’s a sign of weakness when a man physically assaults a woman! A man’s Physical strength is meant to protect the woman! Trouble today is many young people are marrying without the required teaching for them to manage married life with Understanding! GBV is a crime!

    • These politicians are just good for reading speeches against GBV…where is the senile old hen Bo Inonge? Who travels the globe attending to such events time to earn your money instead of getting free taxpayers money an 5 star hospital facilities.

  7. This man should change his name to FRANK BRUNO, the infamous British boxer who was beaten like a 2 year old kid by Iron Mike Tyson in a boxing bout in the mid nineties.

  8. declare that sit vacant so that NDC can grab, any election on the copperbelt especially NDOLA, LUANSHYA AND CHINGOLA will go to the NDC,

  9. I always wonder why most of our politicians are promiscuous. During FTJ’s reign, except for a few Ministers like Generals Miyanda and Christon Tembo the rest of the Cabinet Ministers were living with their concubines. Parley Motel has been turned into a slaughter house for women such that you’d wonder what’s honorable about our MPs. As opposed to being a Christian nation Zambia is more of a Randy Nation.

  10. Lets face it. You cant stop an MP from enjoying his fringe benefits, the young girls. The wife has to understand that an MP is a public figure, meaning that he belongs to the public. Girls and are part of the public and they deserve to enjoy their MP and the MP deserves to enjoy them too.
Traditionally, men are to be shared. Lets not depart from our tradition. That is where we get it wrong.
The lesson to women and wives in particular here is that lets not be selfish. You cant have the whole MP to yourself alone.

    • @Chitapankwa Allepo Trump you are a made dog that needs vaccination for rabbies!!!!!!! You are one of the people who should not be left close to our children due to fear of corrupting our youngs………………. Your question is where are morals in society if we encourage the stupidity you are encouraging??????????????

    • Chitampankwa, you are right!People must analysis the cause of such incidences before condemning the offender in totality.Yes, it is not right to beat your spouse. But the people condemning him should take a counselling and guidance role! And for relatives, be conciliatory in your approach, abene balishibana. It is not good insulting when debating.and other people’s opinions respected and then analyse such opinions objectively not insulting!!

    • @Chitapankwa Allepo Trump, stop winding people up! This is a serious matter at least PF wives speak up, UPND wives remain quite because they think (wrongly), that their husbands will stop philandering after they win erections….oops, elections!

  11. Arrested and detained mean nothing. We want him prosecuted, and imprisoned. This is a clear case of domestic violence or plain old assault if the marriage is under customary law.
Where is big momma, Mushota, The Real Olivia Pope, and Nubian Princess and all the women of Lusakatimes? I have noticed if it’s domestic violence the women of LT keep quiet and disappear, it’s almost like they go through the same and have come to accept it. And when it’s a story of defilement and rape, they will flex their emotions the whole day even when it’s just an allegation.
I challenge the women of LT to show themselves and denounce such acts of domestic violence. Come and flex your emotions forthwith.

  12. He has changed from a law maker to a law breaker. He needs to make an introspection whether he is supposed to be in parliament making laws which he can break with impunity. Issues to do with marriage cannot be solved by battering your wife. Women are very emotional and needs to be handled maturely. If you can’t handle a woman, then you are not fit to be a man. A real man will not beat his wife. There are avenues by which one can handle domestic issues. If you cannot agree, though painful, divorce is inevitable. And relatives should be the last to come in the issue of marriages. There is always a soft part in marriage which no relative can resolve.Even when couples injure each other, chances of reconciling are very high.Relatives end up looking a laughing stock.

  13. I don’t encourage wife buttering but the reason for which she was buttered is justifiable. This wife was most likely not a virgin when she got married to the MP. Whey then does she want to personalise a man, a man of the people for that matter?. I don’t encourage lawlessness but I tell what?, women have got to understand that the man to woman ratio of 1/4 is here with us and this means officially or unofficially, one man has got to be shared by 4 women in literal, real and mathematical contexts.

    • I concur with you. There is no justification in abusing women. Abusers are in most cases brought up under no parental guidance. If a father was an abuser even children, in most cases, will be abusers. Women should not be tools of abuse. They need to be respected. Everyone of us came from a woman. It pains, especially to the children, seeing their mother in wounds of battery. A man who has deranged mind will always resort to physical confrontation. This has to do with psychological arrangement. People should not condone abusive marriage by bringing up unjustified ratios. A person who beats up a woman is mentally unstable. A woman should be loved and cared for. It is only a person who sees no value in a woman who will turn into a monster.

  14. I usually don’t address individuals on this forum but the comment about requires a firm response. Zambia, a declared Christian nation, cannot tolerate what you are advocating for. Women have all the rights to question extra-marital affairs. Let’s not give men a licence to abuse our women. I completely disagree with the 1/4 ration. 51% women in Zambia is the estimated figure and this is almost 1:1. So there is no moral, cultural nor statistical justification of chingololo.

    • It is more complicated than the way you want to make it appear. We have closet gays, mentally off-balance and of course the sociopaths and psychopaths who cannot hold a relationship together. Did you take these into account in your ratio. And here I do mean both sides! I know, I know, a lot of those who do not want to hear the truth will definitely throw shade at me. Go ahead.

    • But even if we use the 49% ratio of men, how many of the 49% are the marrying type or “Marable”. 15% of the 49% are financially challenged and cannot afford a meaningful affair with either their wives or their girlfriends. In fact the 15% cannot afford a girlfriend on financial grounds. About 5 % are retards and are completely out of the marriage equation (This includes those who drink Kachasu or are in the streets begging). Close to 2% are in prisons, with not much hope of coming back. About 3% have got the money but they are either obese or irresponsible. 0.25% are completely mad. ~0.75% suffer from erectral dysfunction (are impotent). This leaves the pond with only 23% male potentials. What can women do?. Remain selfish?, share?. The real options are limited. That is why Magufuli…

    • Let’s impose a birth control law which permits the murder of male babies eh…..!! In fact each family should be allowed only one male child before having their tubes tied or cut by law enforcement!

  16. Step one: abolishment of polygam as this gives right to men to sleep around

Step two: Wife beating should equal to life in prison without trail. Automatic life in prison

    Amen

  17. Yes let him be convicted fast so the seat is declared vacant and it can go to NDC.Koma this regime awe sure! Not only has it brought poverty and misery in this country but also produced such barbaric lawmakers.Shame!

  18. Give the girl a heavy duty saucepan, and allow her to take a swing at him!

  19. I can’t believe some people have sunk into the men/women ratio nonsense. This is a serious offence of occasioning grievous bodily harm. A criminal matter – end of.

  20. Kkkkkkl He thought he was Pangaring UPND Cader only to discover that, the person he was buttering was his spouce Zambians and Caderism Awe. Kkkkkk

  21. This ‘dishonourable MP’ is such an embarrassment to the ruling party, and a disgrace to Zambians in general. Always behaving like an actor in an adult film. Surely we’ve had enough of this FRANK NG’AMBI! As a leader, this chap is supposed to be an example, especially to the youth. But his behaviour is so shameful. How can you be battering women like that and expect to go scot-free? Can somebody cage this wild animal for good! So sickening!
