Ndola Teaching Hospital has run out of accessories required to treat people with kidney problems

Share

Green Party President Peter Sinkamba has revealed that Ndola Teaching Hospital has run out of accessories required to treat people with kidney problems.

Mr Sinkamba says he has received information that patients have been advised that starting on the 10th July 2020, the Hospital will not have the accessories needed for dialysis.

He says this is now turning to be a national problem as some other Hospitals that have the capability to offer such services do not have the stocks.

Mr Sinkamba has demanded that the Ministry of Health should immediately restock to prevent deaths among people that depend on the same accessories for survival.

“We may see a spike in the number of people dying from renal failure which the Ministry of Health will claim its COVID-19 when they are not providing the necessary requirements to treat renal problems. They are now treating every BID as COVID-19”, he said.

Mr Sinkamba said the government should immediately move in and restock the hospitals to prevent people from dying like rats.

He has also warned the Ministry of Health against faking COVID-19 deaths for purposes attracting donor funding.

  1. The money has been stolen through over priced roads scums They are simply not bothered about dying people at NCH because when they get ill Jonathan will airlift them to south African and poor Zambians will die at Ndola Central .Fvcking Lusambo’s kids were born at a private hospital paid for by tax payers cash

  2. This is very painful to read. The poor have been sidelined by those in leadership. Individuals have stolen so much from the state such that there is nothing left.

  3. Comment:And the worst part is the kidney specialist that was trained using tax payers money decided to leave for a higher paying job where he sits in the office drinking coffee all day instead of saving lives of people with kidney problems. So to him, the whole point of furthering his studies was so he could be eligible for higher paying jobs. What a waste of resources. Medicine should be a calling. So now, small boys and girls straight from medical school are attending to patients with kidney problems. Honestly, who does that? In the absence of a nephrologist (kidney specialist) they should have at least taken a senior doctor that has been trained in internal medicine to attend to patients. The kidney is a complicated organ, you don’t take inexperienced to handle such patients with…

  7. Valid points from Mr. Sinkamba. The Minister of UNHEALTHY AFFAIRS Dr. Chitalu Chilufya should for once own up and do the right thing at Ndola Teaching Hospital and elsewhere. Can you please immediately stock up the hospitals with essential drugs and accessories.

  8. I am currently in terrible pain because Levy Mwanawasa Hospital doesnt have any equipment to deal with dental problems,no surgery due to lack of medicine and medication. UTH dental section is not dealing with any serious dental problems due to “corona virus” but the truth is they have no medicines and xray films. Chilenje level one hospital which is were i stay is totally useless, the only thing they can do is wash your teeth!!!Even though what you need is surgery.
And you have a president shielding a minister of finance accused to be corrupt. Surely why would anyone in their right mind vote PF???
