TVS Motor Enters Zambia, Targets Taxis, Deliveries and Personal Transport

Global two- and three-wheeler manufacturer TVS Motor Company has officially entered the Zambia market, introducing eight products aimed at improving mobility for businesses and individuals.

The company has partnered with Zamoto Manufacturing Limited as its official distributor, a move expected to enhance sales, servicing, and availability of spare parts across the country.

With a youthful and rapidly growing urban population, Zambia is experiencing increased demand for affordable and reliable transport solutions. TVS says its product range has been tailored to meet the needs of commuters, taxi operators, and last-mile delivery services.

Zamoto Manufacturing Limited Chief Executive Officer Moussa Jawad expressed confidence in the partnership, noting that the introduction of globally trusted TVS products comes at a time when demand for efficient mobility solutions is rising.

“We are delighted to partner with TVS Motor Company and introduce its products to the Zambian market. We see strong growth potential, particularly in commercial mobility such as taxis and delivery services,” he said.

Jawad added that combining TVS’s fuel-efficient and technologically advanced vehicles with local market expertise would benefit both commercial operators and everyday users.

Meanwhile, Minister of Tourism Rodney Sikumba, who officiated at the launch, said the investment aligns with the country’s growing youth-driven innovation, particularly in sectors like tourism.

He noted that access to reliable and affordable transport can empower young entrepreneurs, create jobs, and contribute to economic growth.

“TVS Motor Company is globally recognized for its innovation, quality, and forward-thinking technology. Partnerships such as this one come at an important time,” Sikumba said.

TVS Motor Company President for International Business Peyman Kargar described Africa as a key focus in the company’s global expansion strategy, adding that Zambia represents an important milestone.

“We are not just selling vehicles; we are building a long-term mobility ecosystem that aligns with the aspirations of the Zambian people,” Kargar said.

Under the partnership, customers will have access to genuine spare parts and professional maintenance services through dedicated 3S showrooms in Lusaka, Ndola, and Solwezi.
