Lundazi District Public Relations Officer (PRO) Neema Nsamba revealed in a statement made available to the media, that the K1,248,125 is expected to benefit a total of 2,080 beneficiaries from all wards across the district.

Ms Nsamba said that beneficiaries of the Cash for Work programmes are expected to undertake 10 days of labour-intensive community works after which each beneficiary will receive K600.

“The implementation of the revised Cash for Work programmes is scheduled to commence on Saturday July 18, 2026 with beneficiaries understanding various public works aimed at improving community infrastructure, environmental sanitation and other public facilities,” the statement read in part.

The revised Cash for Work programme is part of Government’s social protection interventions meant to provide temporary employment to vulnerable households and is expected to improve household incomes.
