‘Talk It over with Chicco’ to launch on Zambezi Magic

DStv Channel 160, Zambezi Magic is proud to announce the launch of a new Zambian produced talk show which premieres on Wednesday the 7th December, 2016 at 20:30 hours CAT.

Talk it over with Chicco is a show hosted by the ever amazing Mutinta “Chicco” Mazoka which will explore diverse societal issues of public interest and curiosity. It will run the gamut from inspirational stories of ordinary people to fascinating lives as well as human vulnerabilities of celebrities, newsmakers and individuals with extraordinary talents & life experiences.

 

‘We are always excited to give our viewers fresh content from the region with diverse stories, so we are certain that Talk it over with Chicco will be a success as it depicts our daily lives and many people can relate and learn from it in Zambia as well as the entire region’ said Addiel Dzinoreva, Head of Zambezi Magic Channel.

The show will also aim at inviting the audience to query their pre-existing notions on various societal issues. Furthermore, it will tackle issues as sensitive as child abuse, sexuality, spirituality in Africa, HIV related stigma, cosmetic surgery, suicide and a myriad of other social issues that draw contrasting reactions from the viewers.

 

DStv viewers will catch Talk it over with Chicco on Zambezi Magic every Wednesday at 20:30 hrs. CAT   in six southern African countries on Premium, Compact Plus and Compact bouquets.

 

About the Presenter: 

Hailing from a humble family of thinkers and visionaries, Mutinta “ Chicco” Mazoka spent much of her academic existence rejecting the notion of show business’

While at Syracuse University in the United States, she majored in Political Science; and was awarded the Sojourner Truth Award for outstanding community service and all-round strength of character by the National Association of Negro Business & Professional Women’s Club.

She served as a Program Officer for the National Democratic Institute,

Further honing her leadership and community skills.

She moved onto Atlanta Georgia, to earn her MBA at the American College, here she took the

Reigns as co-host of a program called African Treasures, which highlighted inspirational stories from the African Diaspora. In much the spirit of her present work, she sat down with such dignitaries as Ambassador Andrew Young and Nobel Peace Prize Winner Wangari Mathai

 

About the Producer:

Brian Palale is the CEO of Lifetime Media, a company he started about 4 years ago that has mainly concentrated on low budget African short films and series that tells stories of lower class to somewhat middle class Zambian families.

A Zambian by nationality, he obtained a degree in screen media from Griffith Film institute in 2007, in Brisbane, Australia majoring in producing and screenwriting. He also holds a higher diploma in software engineering.

Upon returning to Zambia he worked for a Local TV station as a producer and editor before starting his own production company.

His most recent success includes the TV series Drama Njila. He is currently working on a number of TV shows and reality series with a core creative team.
