The Mineworkers Union of Zambia Mpatamatu branch in Luanshya has distanced itself from reports suggesting the Union are part of some miners petition PF secretary General Davies Chama to retain Roan Mp Chishimba Kambwili in the on going Party adoption process.

Mpatamatu MUZ Branch Chairman Charles Musuku said statements circulating in the media are fabricated as the Union is not part of the group making such calls.

Mr Musuku further states that the branch has no authority to make such statements as only General Secretary is the Spokesperson of the Union.

He notes that only a few miners were part of the group and it is unfortunate to insinuate that the Union was represented when in fact not.

Mr Musuku further adds that the Union is non partisan and should not be dragged into such issues, as their mandate is address the welfare of the miners.

The Mineworkers Union of Zambia (MUZ) Mpatamatu branch in Luanshya has been quoted in some sections of the media as being part of some organizations calling for the retention of Roan MP Chishimba Kambwili during the adoption process.

Mr Kambwili submitted his applications yesterday and is facing serious competition from Former Luanshya Mayor and Copperbelt PF Youth chairperson Nathan Chanda who filed in his application on Wednesday to contest the Roan parliamentary seat.

    • Kambwili if adopted will lose Roan…Nathan may give the UPND candidate some competition

    • Kambwili has been discarded by PF. You see now where are his tribal sentiments taken him to? Now you will even fail to join UPND. This is a small world bwana Kambwili.

    • Charles Musuku and the MUZ statement have just, yet again, wiped out Mr. Chimbwi’s silly smile off his face. He thought the miners had forgotten the recent job losses, despite Kashimba Chimbwi’s threats, they are still moaning about. Well done MUZ!
Recently it was “Chichimba Kambwili for running mate” – he had even printed posters denouncing bo-Inonge. That, too, was rubbished and thrown out.

    • Yazandamuka nomba tumone ba big man if he will muscle his way to adoption. This time you will not run for Luanshya on PF ticket but as an independent.

    • While Musuku makes sense, miners are some of the dullest Zambians around who supported Sata in 2011 but got job losses as appreciation from PF. Don’t reason with miners and their twisted thinking.

  1. Kambwili versus Chanda. Keep it clean boys. Aim above the belt. Your constituents already have lungs damaged by sulphur dioxide and the occasional tear gas compliments of you. Your prez needs you to avoid looking like MMD and their in fighting. Okay. 3.2.1.

    • @Patriot on keyboard Abroad

      Today you post something rational.

We all wished EC Lungu well on the back of the demise of the PF Supremo, MC Sata. Alas, he dropped the ball and sent the country back to the pre multi party politics of UNIP. Today the opposition cannot freely organise without PF militia lynching and/or Police beatings. The markets are administered by PF thugs who daily extort money.

This is Zambia under Chagwa Lungu. Similar tactics with Mugabe and Museveni

  2. Kambwili will stand on the PF ticket for Roan and he will win. Look, the fact is that UPND cannot swing that seat due to a lack of a credible candidate. The only chance for Roan to oust Kambwili is if an independent so strong could emerge before May 11, I do not see this happening.

  3. Meanwhile copper prices at the London metal exchange has made a significant rise of 3.5% to trade at $5059 /t. We hope this increment will continue to lessen up tension on our copper export economy. This is good news for zambians and not politicians.

    • Hopes hang on copper prices while tourisim and agriculture sectors are in decline. Shame on PF.

      In August,
      Zambia shall be free.

    • @spaka you should take pride in your country whether it’s pf mmd fdd Upnd governing. Countries economies are positively and negatively affected by external and internal factors. Even your preferred candidate can’t survive the negative external factors and this is where as zambians we need not to look up to leaders of parties to come and put bread and butter on our table. Your way of talk is dangerous

    • Zambia needs proper leaders not only higher copper prices. An epileptic drunkard who steals from clients and terrorises citizens cannot develop the country even if copper was selling for a million dollars a tonne. Countries are made by leaders and not high commodity prices. If you doubt this, just look at Nigeria and DRC.

  4. Ba Kambwili what goes up must come down…….you will not win in Roan and for sure that will be the end of your political career………….You have really been a divisive person in Zambia in the last one year……You have said and it is on record that” No single miner will lose his job for as long as you remain MP for Roan Constituency.” Ok now…how many miners lost their jobs in your constituency? Just use acceptable language of One Zambia One Nation. All the time your sentences start with” HH and end with……. he is a Tonga”

  5. Mr KAMBWILI is more powerful than anyone in PF including the central committee . Following is statement that if not adopted he will stay away and go at is mwamona shows that he is a selfish politician and for as long as he lives in Luanshya confusion will still rock pf in ly. Look at how he as divided the party in Luanshya.

  6. Comment: kambwili why cant you leave that position for the youth whom you have groomed up and to tell u the truth Nathan Chanda is even more powerful and popular than you if PF want to loose Roan seat let them give Kambili we will teach them the lesson!

  7. This seems to be the beginning of the end for the hippopotamus kambwili. The writing is all over the wall. First his hopes of being picked as a running mate for Lungu are dashed and then Lungu throws a young energetic hippo in the pool to displace the hippopotamus kambwili.
My prayer is that he should lose all the contract his company wabona has with the government.

  8. Those suggesting that kambwili will lose if adopted for roan are just being malicious or wallowing in day dreaming. Of course he will win. He has done a lot for his consthtuency. He remains an asset to pf.

  9. That boy Nathan Chanda is Approachable, very humble and he changed the face of Luanshya when was a mayor of Luanshya. eg civic centre, robots, roads and fighting corruption were land giving is concerned . Let ba kambwili that’s how hon.Pwele come into play because hon chilambwe thought the some way under powerful mmd by then. The best way to adopt candidates is to listen from grassroots and it’s not only the who pf will vote for its candidates but even ordinary people who are just followers of pf. The general membership only counts about 30 to 40 percent. Look how pf come into been. Leadership is about give and take. He did the same to EL. A good leader must be a solution to the people’s problem , listening and must take advice from people not leadership of l know it all.

  10. The big man kambwili and his two confused nebert matatiyo with the so called pastor shi mutale have over stayed in Roan and its time they behaved themselves and treat pipo as humans and not heal treat them. They have distroyed the big man kambwili by telling him lies. Roan needs change and sorry to the fake people they used to petition. That widow shud. Apologize to God for her lies

  11. Kambwili kuwayawayafye we need change in roan constituency if u give us Nathan or any one we will vote for PF but if Edigar Lungu give us kambwili again That will be the end of PF in luanshya believe me you.

  12. Lamb will has gone quiet since EL announced that his running mate would be a female. Ukubwatabwata Kwai pwa. Our ears have rested. Hold on! Is it really up to EL to decide who his running mate will be?
