Power Dynamos bench are breathing a huge sigh of relief after winning the 2016 Charity Shield.
Tennant Chilumba picked up his debut silverware with Power on Wednesday when Power beat Green Buffaloes 1-0 in the final played at Nkoloma Stadium in Lusaka.
Chilumba had prior to that triumph been on a three-year drought since his appointment as Power coach in June, 2013.
“God has answered our prayers today. We really needed this, we have got one in our cabinet now so lets start afresh with the kickoff of the league over the weekend,” Power assistant coach Anderson Phiri said.
In the FAZ Super Division, Chilumba has led Power to an 8th place finish in 2013, finished 2nd in 2014 and 3rd in 2015.
Am a Zimbabwean here in Harare. I watched the match on Supersport 9 on my DSTV. I was supporting Buffaloes. The soldiers looked tired. Power dynamos had a right wing player called Bwalya. He is good. Is he in national team?
