President Edgar Lungu has declared that the Patriotic Front-PF- is ready to mount issue based and violent free campaigns.
The President says the PF is ready to start campaigns when Parliament is dissolved next month.
The Head of State says he hopes stakeholders will respect the wish of the majority in the elections in August.
President Lungu said this in an Interview with ZNBC News at the Lusaka
City Airport, shortly before he left for Chama District.
He said he will spare time to interact with the local people during his two day working visit to Muchinga province.
And speaking when he made a stopover in Mfuwe President Lungu called on PF members that applied for adoption to respect the outcome of the process.
The President says he will not impose any candidate but allow the Central Committee to do its job.
President Lungu said this when he addressed party officials.
Meanwhile President has arrived in Chama District on a working visit.
President Lungu is in Chama to commission the Chama District Hospital and inspect some roadworks on the Chama-Matumbo and Chama-Ludazi roads.
President Lungu is also expected to officiate at the Zambia Wildlife Department function.
The President will later in the day proceed to Chinsali district for another series of programmes.

Why is this professional failure (PF) leader talking about campaigns and UPND not the current issues facing the Zambians and what he has done to they resolve these issues sustainably. He is more concerned about HH and the election than serving the Zambians. We did not put you in office to be campaigning or talking about UPND. Yes they have cleansed their party of the tribal tag that it earned when HH succeeded Mazoka at that infamous convention. We have advised them countless times to admit the mistake and cleanse themselves and they have never agreed. Obvious the fear was that if they officially denounced tribalism, they would be opening themselves to leadership of other tribes. So they opted for cosmetic camouflage, recruiting useless fools like Fat Albert and Mandevu. Well, now they will pay heavily for it because the tribal tag has resurfaced with a vengeance they will not be able to withstand. That tribal tag is set to play a very important role in the elections.

Unbelievable! From Western Province commissioning a bridge, to Chama via Mfuwe and Muchinga province, to commission a district hospital and another road. Then off to Chinsali. All this commissioning, opening a ‘katemba’ here and there, could be done by a district commissioner or under secretary or something. An ‘entire’ President criss-crossing the country to pose by simple everyday expected projects. When does he sit down to assess socio-economic matters? What do his ministers do, since he appears to be associating himself with every minor event?

Talking about UPND and its leadership is issue based? Zambia is under siege, hunger, poverty, disease, unemployment the list is endless, these should be the issues to address
ECL and PF know that they cannot win the 2016 elections thru a popular vote. The key to their win is thru rigging. This rigging will be done at three critical stages. 1. They will print thru ECZ extra and pre-marked ballot papers . 2. In urban areas and HH’s perceived strongholds at least 40% of voters will be disenfranchised by either deleting their names from the voters roll or voting matearials will not be delivered on time. 3. Vote Counting will be manipulated infavour of ECL and PF. While perfecting and oiling their rigging machines, Lungu now wants to divert attention to talking about issue based campaigns and talk about tribalism. Zambians should not accept being woodwinked their vote is being stolen right under their noses. That is what Mugabe next door did in Zimbabwe in 2013…
