Konkola Blades have won promotion back to the FAZ Super Division just a year after suffering demotion to Division One.
Konkola secured promotion on Sunday after beating Chingola Police 1-0 at Nchanga Stadium in Chingola to open a six point lead at the top of Division One Zone Two table with one round of matches remaining in the season.
Isaac Ngoma’s lone goal on 10 minutes moved Konkola to 60 points, six above, second placed Kitwe United who drew 2-2 at Bresmar United on Sunday.
Kitwe, were the one team to beat Konkola home and away this term, can’t catch up with Sharp Razor even if they win their last match.
Both Konkola and Kitwe have played 29 matches each.
Elsewhere, third placed Roan United surrendered promotion hopes on Saturday after a 1-1 draw with visiting Copperbelt Buffaloes in Luanshya.
Roan have 53 points from 29 matches played.
Thanks to the management, the technical bench, the players and all blades supporters for your support during the the hard fought 2016 season in division one. Do the same in 2017 season.
Thanks alot sharp razer…….especially the coach “shilton” for being there despite some challenges here and there…….lets now focus on recruiting some players with experience and ensure that you keep them well …..
Konkola Blades! Congratulations. Please go out for a vigorous sponsorship campaign as things are not too good for you
Thanks MineBoy for your unwavering support to Konkola Blades.
It will be nice to see my team back in the super league. LETS GO SHARP RAZOR
Well done Konkola blades. To the executive as we consolidate the team for the next season, kindly do not disturb the current Coaching and Technical bench, we can just re enforce it. Once again, well done.
Congrats Blades!!!please am asking all Blades lovers to help our team financially because KCM (a mine company for indians) is useless!!!it doesnt care about soccer.our team has been doing badly ever since KCM took over the mines from Anglo-America!!!Konkola Blades or Nchanga Rangers FC cannot be suffering like this if these indians were serious with football!!!Hon.Richard Musukwa, help by looking for Sponsors.we want Blades to start doing well in 2017 and beyond and only money can make them do well!!!
