Lwandamina shuts transfer book at Young Africans

George Lwandamina says there will be no more foreign signings after Zambia midfielder Justin Zulu joined his mentor at Young Africans in Tanzania.

The news comes after Lwandamina failed to sign striker Winston Kalengo who has just extended his stay at AC Leopards of Congo-Brazzaville for another year.

“After Zulu there is no other player coming,” Lwandamina told Tanzania media.

Lwandamina’s statement ends speculation that midfielder Misheck Chaila and striker Jesse Were would follow their ex-Zesco boss to Tanzania.

Meanwhile, Lwandamina with his first assistant Noel Mwandila have entered their first full week in charge as they prepare for the second half of the 2016/2017 league season that resume before Christmas and also brace for the 2017 CAF Champions League draws early this month.

Young Africans are chasing a third straight league title and fourth in five seasons.

Young Africans are second on 33 points from 15 games and two points behind archrivals Simba.

  1. WHO CARES YOU GO TO TZ AND YOU BLOCK CAREERS FOR YOUNG ZAMBIANS , U ONLY TAKE A CHIPATA MAN BECAUSE PF SUPPORTED YOUR MOVE?

  2. Leave Lwandamina alone. He is a professional coach making professional decisions befitting the club and the country. Don’t just criticise anything anyhow.
