Local Government and Housing Minister Benny Tetamashimba says there is need for all ministries to be investigated by the Anti Corruption Commission (ACC) in order to asses the levels of corruption.
Mr. Tetamashimba said he believes that most of the houses that have been built in Lusaka’s Chalala area are as a result of corruption and therefore the need for ministries to be investigated.
“I do believe that some of those beautiful houses in Chalala area are out of corruption which tells me that there is too much corruption and the need for all government ministries to be investigated,” he noted.
Mr. Tetamashimba said the exposure of the corrupt practices in the Ministry of Health would not have been possible if President Rupiah Banda was not committed to fighting corruption.
“The corruption that has been exposed in the MOH is as a result of the president’s commitment towards the fight against corruption,” he said.
He has since called on media organizations to have a column that would highlight corruption in the country.
Mr. Tetamashimba was speaking in an interview with ZANIS in Kasempa District yesterday.

On “Local Government and Housing Minister Benny Tetamashimba says there is need for all ministries to be investigated by the Anti Corruption Commission (ACC) in order to asses the levels of corruption“, this should be done so that president HH’s calculations can be subjected tp verification with real numbers. Then, we as Zambians can note who is telling the truth between president HH and Minister Shikapwsha.
On “The corruption that has been exposed in the MOH is as a result of the president’s commitment towards the fight against corruption“, this is funny as a woman did it.

There is no dispute about that.Civil servants can have all traveling allowances and incentives, secured bank loans and pension funds but cannot raise US800,000.00 to US $1,000,000.00 expendable on these kind of mansions.Go the SITET way.Block all records alterations in the deeds and titles department of the ministry of Lands and the City council registry.Deploy a combination of trusted officers from the ACC, AG,DEC,ZRA and OOP(SD) to do forensic investigations on each and every one of them.
Dude, MOH corruption only came up coz of Kapoko’s angry chick and not coz Pineapple face or his moron ministers had any hand in it, dipsh!t.
Zambians will know how entrenched and long corruption has been over consecutive administrations.Go to Ngwerere, Ibex Hills, Lusaka East and West people will then realized how much evil Zambians have been against themselves. Its time we reverted to the laws that when one is convicted and not just speculated, through blacklisting he loses his life time privilege to passport, employment and business contraction as an outcast. All properties proven acquired using stolen or illicit fund be frozen and forfeited to the state.State machinery as it were systematically squeeze such until they mentally breakdown under disproportionate stress.
Iwe ka Teta. That loose red mouth of your will put you in problems. Are you able to prove whatever you yap about ? Just concentrate on your manda-mandas !
Bwe bwe bwe bwe everyday aka munthu kamo.
Teta is talking sense for once.
Yes there is an urgent need to audit and investigste all ministries as they are all riddled with thefts and corruption.
Government should as a matter of urgency fund the Auditor General’s Office so that this work can start.
There is also need to identify the people putting up the Nigerian type mansions and the sources of their funding.
This is a bit unruly. Is Teta the VP or Govt Spokesman. Does he have the authority to label such accusation against fellow ministries, being at the same level with them. Dont they have procedure, protocol or discipline within Govt. Looks like this man is above the law or ministerial code of conduct. And how does RB allow such indiscipline. Ministers in other ministries would have the right to protest.
Anyway, it would be good to ascertain how those houses in Chalala were acquired. Govt owes it to the people.
But let Govt officials operate in a honourable way. Could be Teta is trying to set the agenda for ACC et al. Witch hunt? Or simply a scatter brains?
Teta ya kalyelye.
Neva take him seriously.
Thot the Anti-Corruption Commission iz alwayz doing its investigative work in all public institutionz and need no push-up/reminder from anyone, or izn’t that the case?
Did Magande exhibit wise and integrity leadership when he unscrupulously and hurriedly remitted to the national treasury US $25 million only as money from the sale of whole of ZANACO and another US $25 Million for the whole of KCM? 3 months later, new owners made profit of US $1.3 Billion to $2.5 billion.
Did Magande exhibit wise and integrity leadership when he unscrupulously and harriedly remitted to the national treasury US $25 million only as money from the sale of whole of ZANACO and another US $25 Million for the whole of KCM? 3 months later, new owners made profit of US $1.3 Billion to $2.5 billion.
Teta is for once talked some sense but the problem is that in the next breath he will state the exact opposite and before you know it he is telling you another lie. How can you trust such a lunatic in leadership? What does he himself believe in? Every statement no matter on what subject, ends upi with bootlicking whoever is head of state. Does he think govt only works with the president alone? This chap needs psychiatric treatment seriously. He is not sane at all!!!
Why not start bit by bit? I am sure Teta wouldn’t mind with his being first. I doubt we have the capacity to do what he is calling for. So, I suggest they audit one ministry at a time. And why not speed up things at the AG’s office? The issue of auditing financial statements from 3 years ago is causing this nonsense. The audit trail would have all but disappeared
Overlapping Tetamashimba!!!!!
Teta dont waste our time and money, just ask your boss to ACT on the numerous audit findings from audits of these ministries by the Auditor General’s Office
PROFFESOR CLIVE CHIRWA NI MAILO, TUKOMFWEKO KUBAMANO.
Ok Tetamalilo on this I give you A+. Let all Ministries be investigated as we know many thieves in those ministries. However bwana Tetamalilo its wrong for you to say RB is committed to fighting corruption. RB and MMD are not committed. What has happened is that now MMD has no access to the donor- money at the MoH. So since you guys cant steal from the MoH you want vegeance on your friends in other ministries. This is what is happening Teta. We know every thing man. Your aim is KUFILILA MUNSENGA. Any way thats good coz it will help in protecting the donor- money. REVOLUTION 201 BY HakaSata.
This Tetamashimba man has no capacity to help plan in a Ministry. Why doesn’t he ever make constructive proposals in Parliament or some useful Ministerial statements? Does he know the difference between the role of a party spokesman and the chief govt spokesman? What Teta is supposed to be talking about here, is that we need to build systems, that will stop people stealing from Ministries. What they need is use our computerisation to help curb pilfering and making account audits online so that Ministers can monitor expenditure directly. But, would people like Teta even find time to do such things? When would they then bootlick?
Now this Teta guy has become a spokesclown for all Ministries. I bet when Local Govt ministry is found at fault, he will start pointing at Sylvia Masebo. Those who stay in glass houses dont throw stones.
ha ha @ bwe!! bwe!! bwe!! babosa ba teta . Ba #9 what kind of thinking is that, how much do you think the govn of zambia will waste just to audit all ministries? this corruption is just starting from the same red lipped snake.
#19 Tukomfwako from Professor wama accidents and other related ngozis !
Ba LT naimwe YOU SHOULD IMPROVE YO KAMA SITE we need to be informed when their are pips responding to our comments.
Take a thief to catch a thief, My neighbour in chalala is from Auditor Generals office. Unless govt will hire international auditors, this is gonna be another white elephant like Task Force, Ni tula twabane ba’kamba !!!
#26 LT had that feature but it was abused by boring chaps like Maestro with his irritating Copy and Paste habit.
pa bwato what yo email id
yes. All ministries must be probed
Senior Citizen, what school did you attend? Your English diction is so neuseating to say the least. I will encourage you to write in your venacular language. You seem to have a point but honestly lack the mastery of the queens language.muletusebanya! please refer to #4 and # 6 comments.
Teta, STEP BIGBROTHER of Shika. Both presenting with similar symptoms of on going oral SHIKI polomya…
Investigations of corruption should start on you…
ba zambia #23, there is need to rid of all thieves at any cost than have them continue stealing.
Govt will spend today and benefit in the long term through reduced corruption and thefts.
what Tetamashimba is today is what SATA was when he was local goverment minister and chiluba was president.ass lickers.if it was in advanced democracies characters like sata would have long been shunted to the archives because he has a chequered past.but in typical africa where people have got limited minds the man is still semi-popular and churning out lies as usuala and the poor people are excited that the messiah is on the way.no wonder you live in perpetual poverty
#30, I normally dont agree with this chap junior citizen but reading his postings today, i saw some sense in what he is propounding on. He is simply saying lets do what Teta is asking for in all the ministries and if any one is found with a case, let them lose all the belongings they cannot prove they bought with clean money. It doesnt make sense to see a court clerk building a mansion which cannot compare with his/her salary and not even the gratuity or pension money. How can you explain such issues where a simple civil servant with a meagre salary to buy brand new BMW and on top put up a 6 bedroomed house in woodlands extension and then has a fleet of minibuses. only in zambia.
Eeeiich, that will bring “good dancing”, erasing of computer files and bribing that has never been heard of! I expect no end result because the list of culprits is INFINITY………….! In the process, the same chaps will have more to build more from allowances, and the poor on the other side will have even the “povert” taken because tax would have gone up to finance the investigators! Mama eeeeeeeeh! All the best Teta!
Teta should put words into action then people will take him seriously. CHILALA IS DEFINITELY TAX PAYERS MONEY. AND THOSE WHO HAVE BENEFITED FROM THAT WILL COMMENT NASTY AT TETA ‘S ANTICORRUPTION MOVE. BUT TIME WILL COME WHEN PEOPLE WILL SWALLOW THEIR WORDS. A F.O.OL AND HIS MONEY THEY SOON ……..
