Buildcon halt unbeaten Zanaco’s league run

Buildcon on Wednesday ended Zanaco’s 100 percent start to the 2018 season.

Zanaco snatched a late equalizer to stay unbeaten this season when they finished 1-1 away at recovering Buildcon at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in Ndola.

The result ended 2017 league runners-up, four-match winning start to the 2018 FAZ Super Division season following the draw.

Rahim Osumanu put Buildcon ahead in the 40th minute to give the Ndola club a 1-0 halftime lead.

But Zanaco had to dig deep and snatched a point in the 87th minute through Ernest Mbewe to ensure they remained the only undefeated team in the FAZ Super League this term.

Zanaco stayed 5th on 13 points while Buildcon stood still at number 16 and undefeated from five games under Tenant Chembo’s reign on 6 points from seven rounds of games played.
