Mufulira fuel shortage continues

Filling stations in Mufulira have run out of fuel leaving motorists to line up in queues for the commodity.

A check at all the four filling station in the district showed that fuel stocks have run out except at Caltex filling station.

At Murundu filling station and Total filling stations, petrol and diesel stocks ran out yesterday.

Filling Station Attendants confirmed to ZANIS that they are not sure when the two filling stations would receive new consignments.

Caltex filling station attendant Amos Simfukwe said the station received 15,000 liters of petrol and 10,000 liters of diesel yesterday.

Mr. Simfukwe said the available stocks may run out by tomorrow if the station does not receive another consignment.

The situation has caused traffic congestion along Buteko Street where the filling station is located as motorists panic to buy fuel.

  1. Fuel shortage this time has become worse Rupiah Bwezani Dziko pansi is really making our country go down. This is what happens when you put people without brains to rule this country. My two vehicles are now parked and I have resorted to walking and hence reporting for work late. How can development take place with people scouting for fuel instead of being productive in their work places.
