Minister of National Guidance and Religious Affairs Godfridah Sumaili says her ministry is putting in place measures that will ensure that international artists who come into the country do not compromise morals and values of the country.

Reverend Sumaili says this is because artists have a great influence on society and have the ability to impart good or bad values.

She further urged local artists to help in upholding good morals, values and principles in the citizenry by depicting human dignity, patriotism, and national unity.

Reverend Sumaili was speaking when National Arts Council of Zambia Chairman Patrick Samwimbila and vice chairperson Agness Nyendwa paid a courtesy call on her at her office today.

Meanwhile Mr. Samwimbila said they will strengthen the code of ethics for artists with support from the ministry.

He further called on all artists to support government’s efforts in inculcating good values and morals in society.

  1. Here is a ministry desperately hunting for something to do. Why did Lungu create this useless ministry kanshi mwebantu? To appease church goers? To give someone a job? To pretend Zambia is a Christian nation?

    • LET THIS NOT BE AN EXTENSION OF THE FAILED PUBLIC ORDER ACT [POA] MEANT TO TARGET THOSE CHURCHES THE PF PERCEIVE TO BE PRO-OPPOSITION

    • GOOD JOB ZAMBIA!!! THESE FOREIGNERS WANT TO DO WHAT THEY DID TO OTHER COUNTRIES LIKE TAKE AWAY THE “BIBLE” AND MAKE IT A “HATE CRIME” IF YOU FOLLOW “CHRISTIAN” BELIEFS IN “AMERICA” YOU CAN’T EVEN BRING A “BIBLE” TO CLASS IF YOU ARE A TEACHER YET THEY SAY “OH YOU SHOULD HAVE ‘TRANSGENDER’ BATHROOMS!!!!! WHAT A JOKE!!!!! SICK HYPOCRITS GOOD JOB ZAMBIA!!!!!!!

  2. Good! Is Prof. Hansoni desperately planning to write H-another letter soon to the UN on the University Letterhead?

  3. If you want to know the society you are dealing with. Check the music they listen to, the books they read and the movies they watch,
It is high time men and women of the world,Zambia in particular realized that music is a very influencial element of life which can either build or destroy society.
You can either Donuna Forward or Donuna Reverse your Morals.
Music is religion bound, hethern or divine. Satanist or Jesusist.
    The motive matters.
When the motive is money and firm there is no limit to the Wickedness and influence of satanic music.

  4. That is supposed to be the job for immigration. Look at effective immigration system Australia has that’s the job they do..

  5. Madam please screen the criminals you are with them in cabinet sha. This useless woman should be made to pay back all the money she has earned, she is a big dissapointment and should learn to shut up instead of further stressing the downtrodden, and heavily taxed citizens who watch on as the looters, her cabinet colleagues get away with murder

  6. USELESS PROPAGANDA MINISTRY!!
Any musician /groups that sing praises to the “GREAT CHARLATAN, JONATHAN CHAKOLWA” will be allowed in, no questions asked.
We have not forgotten that thin necked Nigerian conman preacher who is always singing praises of the Drunken Jona, was even allowed into Zambia after being stopped@ KK International airport, with a bag full of Narcotics.
THIS IS WHAT ZAMBIA HAS DEGENERATED INTO, UNDER THE MORALLY BANKRUPT JONATHAN POMBE MUTAWARE’S CROOKED REGIME!
Even ba Kasai, are now given Zambian Diplomatic passports. Never would have happened under K.K or Mwanawasa.

  7. You cannot legislate morality, the moral decay is from within and not from outside. You all pretend to be Christians and yet your actions say otherwise.

  8. You have to wonder who made this woman Assistant Jesus. It’s not even musicians that are bringing dodgy morals to Zambia – it’s Zambians themselves that are opening up to the way the world works these days. Homos xuality, drugs, substance abuse … there are all sorts of things happening in Roma would keep her ministry busy. But no, it has to be this!
