Government says it will continue to work with its strategic partners in its quest to achieve national development goals and the vision 2030.

Minister of Commerce, Trade and Industry Christopher Yaluma says government in collaboration with its stakeholders has therefore prioritized the enhancement of education as a pillar of development.

He said this during the ground-breaking ceremony for the construction of secondary school by Promoting Equality in African Schools (PEAS) in Mungwi district.

Mr Yaluma , who is also Malole Constituency Member of Parliament, praised PEAS Zambia for sharing government’s vision of increasing education opportunities for girls especially in rural areas.

And a representative from PEAS Zambia, Dirk Phiri said his organization will continue to supplement government’s efforts in the provision of quality secondary school education.

Mr Phiri said the construction of the new school in Mungwi will be carried out by Empire Contractors and is expected to be completed within four months.

He said the school is scheduled to open in January 2019.

In its Vision 2030, government hopes to transform the country into a prosperous middle income nation and to create a new Zambia which is a “strong and dynamic middle-income industrial nation that provides opportunities for improving the well-being of all, embodying values of socio economic justice.

The Vision comprises three priority sectors namely economic growth and wealth creation, social investment and human development and creating an enabling environment for sustainable social economic development

  1. Ba Yaluma even 2019 is too far please leave now with your vision for 2013. We see no vision only hopeless smoke without any food to cook on it.

  2. Only vision to steal!! These numpties are completely visionless bunch who have crippled a once stable economy!!

  3. I know most people don’t like Wynter Kabimba because of his principles that’s why thieves when fired team up with HH or form there own parties. He speaks the truth and he has been in government he knows how it is.President Lungu needs to show leadership and clean up,people love him but time has come for him to act and walk the talk.people of Zambia are not ready to take to the streets for UPND leadership,it’s not the solution with its handpicked leadership.

    • Which principles has Kabimba? Private militia trained in Sudan? Democracy according to comrade Maduro? One party State according to great leader Xi?

  4. 2030 = Light at the end of the tunnel. Just watch what the theme will be after 2030. You will be amazed.
