Malole Member of Parliament Christopher Yaluma has said President Edgar Lungu’s government is committed to developing all parts of the country.

Mr. Yaluma said this is because the government is aware of the many challenges facing the people especially in the rural areas.

He was speaking when he addressed people during a tour of his constituency at the weekend.

Mr. Yaluma, who is also Commerce, Trade and Industry minister, said Malole constituency is one of the beneficiaries of the various developmental programmes that the PF government has been implementing over the years in various sectors such as health and education.

He said this is evidenced by the construction of health facilities and schools in different areas of the constituency.

Mr. Yaluma has since assured his constituents that government will also work to ensure that all the feeder roads leading to farming areas are worked on so as to allow the smooth transportation of goods and services to the market and to ease the delivery of farming inputs.

He added that the government will always strive to uplift the wellbeing of the poor and vulnerable people in society through such schemes as the fertilizer support programme and the social cash transfer.

The Malole lawmaker expressed hope that the numerous interventions being implemented by the government in communities will help reduce the high poverty levels, especially in rural communities.

Among the places the MP visited are Chitemfuma, Mukuka Mfumu, Kasoma and Kafusha all in his constituency.

During the tour, Mr. Yaluma donated assorted items which included football jerseys, footballs, pockets of cement and cash to various institutions in his constituency.

  1. why shouldnt he be committed?it is his job he isn’t doing zambia a favour,on second thought that word is all i hear in this government, always committed yet no delivery.

    • Those commitment levels are questionable.

Kagame is committed to developing Rwanda.

Ian Khama was committed to developing Botswana.

Lungu is committed to something else, NOT developing Zambia.

  2. Talking of the President being commited is not ptting food on people s tables. promises promises now when exactly are these words going to be pUt on the ground. Zambia s money is only for the PF to go vote bying and bribing and ferrying vicious cadres to places where voting is going on. Do the people not realise that the way the PF is going we are allowing them to turn zAMBIA BACK INTO A ONE PARTY STATE. the great north road is claiming people s lives on a day to day, so what is going to be done? This should be one of the priorities. Fed up now.

  3. Even more committed, as long as he lines his pockets through backhanders! He is not ding us a favour. The Zambian people expect even more from him.
