Allan Kamwanga returns as interim Mighty coach

Share

Club legend Allan Kamwanga has taken over as Mighty Mufulira Wanderers acting coach following the suspension of his boss Justin Chinama.

Kamwanga previously served as Mighty coach before bouncing back as an assistant to Chinama last year.

Mighty Secretary Iden Zulu on Monday said in a letter to Chinama that he had been suspended indefinitely for refusing to use a team that was selected by officials for the match against Nakambala Leopards.

Wanderers are seventh on the Stream A table with five points from five matches played.

Chinama has refused to comment on his suspension saying he is yet to receive official communication from the club.

But he admitted that he won’t train the team until club management classifies his status.

‘I cannot comment on rumours. I need to meet the CEO and hear from him,’ Chinama said.

  1. Kamwanga the same fate will befall you. Mighty has poor management. The management will choose a team for you. What kind of coach coaches other people’s teams?

  2. You are saying he was suspended for refusing to use a team which was selected by officials against Nakambala leopards. This is the problem with club football in Zambia. We have too many officials who think they are as good as coaches. Then let the same officials who selected the team take over from Chinama. Why have you again picked another coach, to use him as a figure head. Club officials should learn to be professional and leave coaching to coaches. If this is not done Wonderers will continue changing coaches like shirts. I don’t agree that officials should be the ones selecting players. And you lost only 1-0 then you blame in on the coach wake up.

    • Kwena ba Mighty sure! With all your experience in football you still pick a team for a coach? How? Elders like ba Joseph Menzu the Nkole Brothers ba Chishiki they can’t advise your management sure?
