The Lundazi Magistrate Court has sentenced a Patriotic Front cadre Frank Mwale to four years imprisonment.

  1. Very light sentence but Good …this should send a message to rest of the cadres who like harassing journalists

  2. They should have not suspended that 2 years. In any case if the third term goes through this fo.ol will earn an undeserved pardon. Awe mwe!

  3. It should have been stiffer. The victim is most importantly a woman than a journalist .
Good job by the court still.

  4. Excellent decision. We do not condone thuggish behaviour both as a nation and a party. To those that claim pf has control over judiciary I hope you realise this makes you look very hopeless. In fact this is making the upnd lose any matters to campaign on. Well done and this is a warning to anyone engaging in violence irrespective of party affiliation. Myself I have reported a few people. You can call me snitch but I believe in complying with the law. Kz

    • You are not UPND spokesperson, why are you stuck with UPND. Why is there so much fear for UPND in you. Everybody knows you are spineless but you don’t need to show it here. The only person who was misled to man mark UPND is Monday Chanda

  5. He will be among those pardoned on africa freedom day. Effectively he will only serve less than two months.

    • Knowing the deceitful nature of the characters we are dealing with. You could be right, the guy could just be released quietly

  6. It is about time!

None constructive political “Cadreism” of the 1960s has been tolerated for far too long in our country. Now these characters even think and act as though they are the ones who were elected and in charge. Not even an elected official in Zambia is allowed (by law) to behave the way these cadres do.

I only wish it was a full four-year jail term.

  7. Finally! The judiciary is waking up. I’m getting the sense that they are now getting to realise the pfull5 crew is a sinking ‘titatin’. What a pleasure to witness.

  8. Two years is too little. He needed to be sentenced to 10 years because he beat up a woman. He should be fighting fellow men not harmless weaker women

  9. The same should applied to all upnnd cadres who are facing similar charges includin their life president for beatin up the disabled

  10. This is unusual to say the least. Why didn’t the DP save the PF Cadre from going to Prison thru a Nolle Prosqui? Hon Given Lubinda was clobbered by one of the PF Cadre in Kabwata.Maybe PF has now realised that violence and lawlessness among its Cadres is getting out hand. Let’s see if PF is trying to deal with violence in its ranks.Wait and see!

  11. This is great. They have realized that if you let your people steal FOR you , they will steal FROM you. It is about the importance of disciplining your own children. Because if you don’t they will embarrass you in the future.

  12. At least, it’s about time you showed that no one is above the law ….well done.

  13. I think you UPND cadres ought to give Kaizer Zulu a break. Granted you managed to have him fired and yet you still continue going at him like he still works at plot number one. And Kaizer Zulu, stop masquerading like you speak for president Edgar Lungu. You were fired period. Continue being a PF cadre but stop propagating your opinion and let UPND and MMD fanatical zealots assume you are speaking for the Republican president. Grow up. Njala yakunyokola tyala?

  14. Mayanda Mulenga

He says he is director of higher intelligence, how is that being fired ?

  15. Mayanda which fired Haha. Show me a paper stating I have been relieved from government duties. You will find that I am now directing higher intelligence team within OP.

  16. Don’t worry Kaiser Zulu will get his job back after the Coronavirus has been subdued, it could be end of next month by the look of things.
