University of Zambia officially reopens for graduating students

The University of Zambia (UNZA) has officially reopened for graduating students after being closed for almost three months due to the Coronavirus pandemic.

A check by ZNBC News at the UNZA Great East Road main campus found some students preparing to go for lectures.

University of Zambia Head of Communications and Marketing Brenda Bukowa said fourth year students and those that are in their 7th year in the school of medicine have reported back.

Dr. Bukowa said necessary health measures have been put in place and all students have been accommodated stressing that no squatting be will allowed.

She said only one person will be accommodated in each room to avoid congestion.

Dr Bukowa said the University will continue conducting E-learning for Non-graduating students and is expected to hold a virtual graduation ceremony next month.

  1. Ushe don’t we have people with power washers to blast that dirt off the walls of this institution? Ni Job iyo ka. Wash that thing man, don’t wait for China , Doti ni doti. Let’s have a contract to clean this thing and enhance the gardening too. A clean and well organized institution will produce good crop of leaders.

  3. KZ tell your boss to do something about this dirty place . You should be ashamed of yourselves because you only care about what you can get out of politics and not your employers the citizens of the once rich nation of Zambia . Your mansions far better than this .

    There should be a student initiative to clean those lovely concrete buildings. Or pay some Youfis to scrub down the facades and clean the campus gardens.

  6. Part of UNZA land is leased to big companies. Let those revenues be used to clean up UNZA. Do we even know the annual revenues that UNZA collects and how this money is utilized? UNZA students, stand for your rights.
