The Chipolopolo technical bench led by coach Micho has begun to train over 60 local coaches in goalkeeping and video analysis.
The exercise is taking place between 9 and 17 July in Lusaka, Kabwe and Ndola.
Micho’s goalkeeping coach, Miroslav Stojnic, who is running the workshop, held his first session on July 9 in Lusaka at Telca Hotel.
The FAZ-organized training has attracted coaches from the Super Division and National Division One.
“As you may be aware, capacity building is key in football development and as an association, we would like to move with the current trends,” FAZ General Secretary Adrian Kashala said in a circular to clubs.
“We have engaged our National Team and his Technical Team who will share their knowledge with other coaches to ensure that the game moves to the next level.”
And FAZ President Andrew Kamanga said at the opening ceremony this was a critical investment in the development of local goalkeeping coaches.
“We hope that this program will kick-start a long term investment in not only goalkeeping but coaching general. We have a long term plan for coaching that will galvanized by having a coaching school that will be set up with the help of partners in Croatia. We also have a similar agreement with our partners in Morocco,” Kamanga said.
Wish they had invited Kennedy Mweene to teach too. National team without a goalkeeper is a serious current problem.
Hope the course can propose 5 totally new goalkeepers to be used in their training. This training should not just yield allowances to participants, but those coaches should reward Micho with a goalkeeper.
This Coach is a scondrel. But again that is how FAZ operated.
