The ruling Patriotic Front (PF) National Vice Chairperson for Mobilisation Geoffrey Bwalya Mwamba says President Edgar Lungu has made a wise decision to appoint Professor Nkandu Luo as running mate.
Hon Mwamba says Prof Luo she is equal to the task to ensure that the country is taken to a higher level.
Speaking when launched campaigns in Kasama yesterday, Hon Mwamba is confident that the former Livestock and Fisheries Minister and Munali Constituency Member of Parliament will deliver.
He says it is therefore important that the ruling party members and all electorates respect the decision the Head of State has made.
“We should all support and respect the decision of the President. Prof Luo has what it takes to work tirelessly to take this country to the next level,” he says.
Meanwhile, Hon Mwamba appealed to electorates to vote for His Excellency President Dr Lungu and all adopted candidates.
He says the electorates should not make mistakes to vote for any other political party.
Hon Mwamba also encouraged people in Kasama to vote for Kasama Central Constituency aspiring candidate Sibongile Mwamba, Lukanshya Member of Parliamnet Pattrick Chisanga and Kasama Council Council Chaiperson candidate.
He says it will not make sense to only vote for His Excellency President Dr Lungu and leave out his adopted candidates.
Hon Mwamba also promised to maximise votes for the Head of State.
He says he will campaign vigorously across the country to ensure that His Excellency President Dr Lungu retain in power.
The problem with the current senior members in the PF is that you fail to express yourselves against Edgar Lungu, I don’t know what he has done to you. GBM you stood up to Sata when he threatened you to choose between him and Mwine Lubemba. Sata was doing all that at the instigation of Phoebe Nkandu Ngoshe Mukote Luo a Bisa that wanted her fellow Bisa to ascend to Chitimukulu. Since when did the Bisa become rulers of Ulubemba? We admired you for your courage to defend the Mwine Lubemba but it seems you have lost it. Nkandu has left a trail of destruction wherever she’s been since the days of MMD under FTJ. Her choice is proof that ECL isn’t a critical thinker, never learns from history and neither does he consult. If he had any 1 of these he couldn’t have picked Nkandu as his running…
If Lungu had any one of these he wouldn’t have chosen Nkandu as his running mate. You have an uphill battle to convince Ababemba to vote for Lungu=Luo. He has opened old wounds and they’re quite painful. Anyway I wish you well. RB could’ve rightly put it as “yaminyokola njala”

There are two dents in Luo’s background for me.One is the Chitimukulu saga and the other is the image I fail to erase from my head of her, Katele Kalumba and a few others, pumping their fists in the air and shouting FTJ 3rd Term.
Apart from these,she is a practical, intelligent woman who believes in Zambia and wants to prop it up. She was instrumental in the banning of the original “tujili jili” because she saw how it was corroding our Zambian morals and culture.
Still more, it is ECL that we want.

At this level, GBM would have said ECL made a wise choice had he picked Alex Mulyokela or indeed Ackim Ngosa (my favourite President). This man has nothing left to offer apart from bootlicking and hero worshipping.
@Ayatollah, he disagreed with Sata and left, Sata was not vindictive and let GBM continue his business with the government, perhaps because he did not join the opposition? Under the Lungu government, GBM saw his business contracts terminated, in the same manner as did Kambwili.

Voters care not who PF has as running mate. They decided way back and are not changing their mind any time soon until their party bounces back into power. Zambians are the most intelligently faithful people which makes the opposition see them naively guliible. GBM’s words are just reminders and not instructions.
