Faz AGM Postponed (Updated With more Details)

Share

The Faz annual general meeting has been postponed to April 30.

Faz president Kalusha Bwalya said at Mubende Lodge in Luanshya where his faction was holding his AGM that Super Division and division 1 matches will kick-off as scheduled on April 2.

The decision to postpone the meeting was reached on Friday that involved Faz, NSCZ, Fifa and senior governement officials who mandated Faz to make the announcement.

“We do not want to risk the lives of our affiliates so we have decided to postpone the meeting to the 30th of April,” Bwalya said in his address to the delegates in Luanshya on Saturday afternoon.

“We should correct this sickness that we have in Zambia where were administrators take the glory.”

“We want other members to be present because football is not about me Kalusha Bwalya football is about Zambians.”

The Andrew Kamanga faction attended the other AGM that was held at Mulungushi International Conference Centre in Lusaka and was recognized by the National Sports Council of Zambia while the Luanshya meeting was observed by two FIFA officials.

  1. Zambia risks being banned, we will see where it will take SHIMATA and TAMANGA? Ukutemwa utunthemba! These chaps are so narrow minded!

  2. Let us not be fooled Kalusha’s delegation where just punished for refusing to shift vennue. How can there be two AGMs One in Kitwe and the other in Lusaka which the later was recognised? NSCZ should keep hands away. What is there interest/agenda in this AGM???? SHAME

  3. The fact is that kalusha thinks he is bigger than Zambia – my dear former footballer you are now playing with fire boma is boma they can no longer take your fifa threats there are other sports that can be supported in 7ambia you have been taught a lesson you thought you can have your way, Zambia police job well done for blocking that chap and his clowns! No one should be above NCSZ!

  4. No one is bigger than Zambia at least Kalu has come to his senses he should have attended the meeting at the NSCZ instead of walking away. Dialogue is key to conflict resolution, we pray that no kaponyas will be hired to masquerade as delegates like what happened at the last FAZ meeting were ma grocer was paid to pose as a city of Lusaka delegate. The delegate list should be published in the paper we want a firm conclusion to this circus let us show leadership.

  5. FAZ dont take ifyabupuba ku Luanshya. Take it to Kalusha’s home in Mufulira, kamuchanga. Luanshya is a peaceful town.

  6. yaba ilyashi likaya mayo. Why cant they just play football before the AGM, kalusha bwalya’s side vs Simata Simata kamanga boys at independence stadium, referee from FIFA and lines men from Government. After the game then have AGM period.

  7. 7 london……….its like you are misinformed. For your own information, FAZ had there meeting at Mahende lodge in Luanshya and had delegates more than 2 thirds while the Lusaka one had only 18 clubs and FIFA was in attendance and FIFA/FAZ would like kamanga and group to attend so that they can be defeated squarely without crying foul. By the way, i was in Luanshya at the venue, my friend almost all teams have shifted support to Kalu after realising that the other camp is driven by hatred.
So check your facts before you comment. Kalu is very right in all this circus. Be reminded of how Teddy behaved as FAZ president when he was persecuted by Chiluba. It is the same FIFA that protected and funded FAZ coz Govt withdrew sponsorship. Refresh your memories.

  8. I am sure RB has not been told that Simataa is PF and an anarchist by birth. Kamanga has blinded RBs advisors with his money so HE is being fed with lies. But in conclusion Kalu will emerge victorious in all this circus. Viva Kalu. Viva MMD.

  9. imagine, govt gave directives to all lodges/hotels in copperbelt not to allow FAZ to have AGM, why??? what interest do they have in this? i thot they need to protect the legitimately elected team but are doing opposite. I wonder, when donars support opposition parties, govt cries foul but they are doing exactly the same. What’s so special with kamanga(former ZR employee) and simataa(former Finance bank employee)?? it really beats me.
Further, Police confessing that they cannot contain imagined violence at moba! really will this police contain forthcoming elections nationwide??? it beats me! i dont know, surely we shall have elections in Malawi coz our police cannot contain violence during general elections. It really beats me.

  10. Thank to mahende lodge that at least tried to accomodate FAZ and more than 2 thirds delegates for a short time. Be blessed and this has clearly shown who delegates support, because even some teams from Lusaka came, i saw Eastern, southern, copperbelt, northwestern, western, luapula, northern teams there in Luanshya. I tell you it was good. You can fool some people sometimes but you cant fool all the people all the times. Kalu has emerged victorious here. Delegates where wondering why NSCZ had to change venue when place was very peacefull.

  11. From what i saw, this is the end of kamanga/simataa crusade as most people question their impatience! the question is what is it that they want to do now which cannot wait for just 12 months when the elections shall take place. It beats everyone.

  12. I wonder why the Ncsz had to change the venue. but now we know where kamanga camp has more power. The govt is behind them. VIVA kalu..

  13. No comment. Lads sort yourselvess out! Boma vs Who? The circus goes on and on and on! What a shame! Hopeless leadership. Hopeless National Coach. Whetherto mother Zambia! Football is no longer the same pa ZED!

  14. There were 115 members at mulungushi all verified by roll call and membership cards, not cards issued a few days ago.

  15. Hi soccer fans
Am very disappointed with de way chi-simataa and his camp are behaving (this includes NSCZ). First i want kno y chi-simataa hatres Kalu? Did Kalu by any chance sleep with or proposed chi-simataa wife? chi-simataa and yur team stay from football and let do the job. Chi-simataa u were once faz president and fail on own by quittin…..The next that i wil take is to brought chi-simataa to book..watch de space…

  16. Here we go again! Personal interest first zambian football second. For once Kalusha has been beaten at his own game. He thought shifting the venue would prevent opposing delegates from distant places from attending the conference. I do not like Simataa’s perseverance against a personal difference with Kalusha and neither do I like Kalusha’s way of handling the issue. For the interestof the game both camps need to leave and let fresh minds handle FAZ business!! Ki Nako

  17. 25 Zizou………..Pls dont talk of members talk of voting members. Each club is supposed to send 3 delegates but only one is allowed to vote. so clarify my friend. Further, there are also members who do not belong to any club like your Kazabu, NSCZ, etc.
The truth is that there where only 18 clubs represented and if you want i can publish the list of those clubs.

  18. I totally agree with Patriotic Zambian. There is somthing fishy going on here which teh gvt must tell us. What security concerns that are beyond the ZP’s control? I am amazed to see how Kalusha is being victimised by the gvt through NSCZ. Great Kalu, go on teh coperbelt (which produced you) is behind you. At teh end of it all the gvt will get what they want from FIFA. If they think they can manipulate fifa they better prepare themselves for a rude shock.

  19. Kalu, we’re with you my man. This CLOWN OF A PEASANT FARMER cum CHANCER PRESIDENT, can not come an dictate how we should run football.

The moneky became President by shear luck and has still failed to run with it.

  20. I am sure, at the end of it all its Kalusha who will have teh last laugh. the gvt is being misled by NSCZ to side with Simata. they will surely get what they are asking for from FIfa. GO on Kalu, the copperbelt (which produced you ) is behind you. You are winner who must not listen to losers like Simata who failed duritn his tenure at FAZ

  21. Botswana has qualified for the 2012 games. First time in their history. South Africa is locked with Egypt 0-0

  22. #12/18/27-First patriotic Zambian, thanks for the info. You have indeed made my day here in the diaspora. I wonder why Simataa and friends can not just give chance to the Kalusha Bwalya executive to do their job. These chaps are retarding football development in Zambia. They should repent and be baptized respectively. God bless Kalu executive and Zambia as a whole.

  23. its not about which camp has won the day , the people directly affected by this saga are the zambian footballer. please leaders dialogue is a key to success, don’t be selfish!!!

  24. London#8 you go eat ur sh.I.t. Ur hate for Kalusha will kill you! As for the NSCZ you are National shiteaters Confusing Zambia. U need to be sorted out. We enjoy our football without you so Chifumu Banda stay in the shithouse leave the stadiums to us soccer lovers. We know you want Zambia to be banned for your own political reasons. Take your chifumo out of our soccer and Get lost! Wa nzili

  25. Galu ohh sorry Kalu must go.He should have saved enough money when he was a still a player. Thats why he had a problem with Moses Sichoni and Andrew Sinkala coz the boys saved more money than he did in his playing days. Ama jealous has led him to hold to the fAZ house. shame & disgusting

  26. I wonder why people who do not know issues are blaming Simata Simata. Its this Kaponya behaviour which has kept Zambia behind because of BLIND followers.

The thinking that if you do not agree with what “some” leader is doing because they have brocken the very constitution they are supposed to protect, then you become a villain is BAD. Only blind followers of football can claim that Zambian football has improved under Kalusha.

How come you have eyes but you cannot see? Because of poverty, Kalusha has paid some poor blind followers so as to dupe people that he has a following. FIFA makes things even worse because it is the MOST corrupt institution and its blindly supporting Kalusha – a blue eyed boy for Blatter.

  27. The President of Zambia is 74. The chief oppposition leader is 74 . President Kaunda became President at 40. WHAT I AM SAYING IS THAT THE YOUNGER GENERATION ARE FAILING TO TAKE UP LEADERSHIP BECAUSE WE SPEND TOO MUCH TIME PULLING EACH OTHER DOWN. If we dont stop this attitude NOW! WE WILL BE ADMIRING Botswana, Rwanda, Cape Verde Mauritania , Somalia as they go to World Cups. By the Rivers of Zambezi and Kafue wwe shall weep and gnash our teeth as we remember 74, 82, 94, 96 the glory days. Come on give Love a TRY.

  28. I have never seen such a pompous chap like Kalu. But I’m more surprised by the *****s supporting him. Can’t you see that its always been about him from the very beginning. He has no organisation skills, he listens to no one, selfish to the bone and respects no one. FU Kalu!

  29. Boot State House, NSCZ, Chimanga Changa and Shibata Shibata and this thing will straighten itself out. We are tired of these pressure groups.

  30. gring gring! Halo bakateka..ndine Chipungu
    RB: Whela are u
Chip: Tuli Ku Mulungushi as planned but no Kalu here
RB: Mufana uyu avuta..whoru elose is there?
Chips: Ba Chifumu naba sports council bonse.nabena Simataa glup
RB: So uyu mufana procidead to Kitwe and now Luanshya despite my oroders ka, he is molo staboon than our oppositions ka
Chips: What shud we do now bakateka
RB: Call ba Fifa and Caf reps in kitwe and telo them to have an emergence meetingi with us the gvt..Aka ka Galu is not going to drible ubuteko…I will aloso call my son and telo him whats happening and meanwhilo keep me posted ok
Chips: Yes sir..and I will also instruct the delegates and members here at mulungushi to finish the beers we bought and leave…I just cant believe bakateka we got dribled again by kalu

  31. Yes tell these blind followers bachilamo. Is 10 pin is enuff to make up shut your mouths? You chaps very cheap. Kalu instead of investing when he was still an active player is busy clinging to the job for nothing but monetary gain. This guy has no love for zambian football. Remember his $10 000 pay. Ben Bamfuchile died a hero taking Namibia to their first CAN. what r we going to write about Kalu except for the 1988 achievements and post Gabon? nothing

  32. This circus is past its bed time.

The Kamanga faction has just lost its initiative and it looks like Galu is still doing his things.

  33. This government is the best wen it comes 2 administration; we cannot ve one peson telling the whole is the only one ordained to rule in football.

  34. zizou uleikala fye.Kalu alifye bwino.Y cant cikamaqnga and cisimATA wait for their tym?the next elections are near just wait ba fikamba.NSCZ be ashamed of your selves why support a faction and not the legally elected executive of the GREAT kALU?princess NGA palebaaba call me.Viva GREAT KALU AND FAZ

  35. Ba Kalu you cannot run FAZ affair from south Africa, these are the results and true reflection of your poor leadership.

  36. With Rb at the helm of our country’s leadership the rangles won’t come to an end.lt is acturaly at all levels things are not okey. The country has gone to the dogs who want to eat with their four legs.SHAME!GREAT KALU keep on scoaling and viva chipolopolo.l am forseeing massive protests in this country for old unip fools have regrouped with a vernom .Only coup or massive protests will remove Rb and his minions from power which they are abusing.Mwanawasa’s political strategies have backfired on us.RB with his minions are bent on distruction. He wants in all areas to fill his relatives or any other from eastern province.SHAME ON YOU!

  37. #50 texas, dont expose your ignorance. Fa presidence is not a ful time job. You only attend meetings and give policy guidance. SG is ful time and it explains why a jobless adult cant sleep to get it.

  38. LT, all the sport action was in the CB yesterday, what about the report on the abandoned american cup final btwn diggers and arrows. and the accidents involving our ruggers on the dual carriage way, as at this morning I hear that we have lost 3 brothers. our national team coach owen, kapasa and another gentleman visiting from the uk. come on give us an update LT.

  39. Owen Busange, Godfrey Mwango and Kapasa all died. The car driven by Musonda Kaminsa was involved in an RTA in which Mwango died on the spot. The second car stopped to help, Owen and Kapasa came out to help but were run over by a speeding BMW. Owen died on the spot whilst Kapasa died early this morning. MTSRIP

  40. #53 condolences on that loss. Back to the story at hand. I am getting increasingly confused when I look at the melée caused by this indecision by the administrators of Football, NSCZ. Why are they using the Cote d’Ivoire blueprint to solve football issues in Zambia?? Does the dispensation as it stands allow for recognition of rebel, parallel FAZ associations? What happens if another one backed by another power broker somewhere surfaces? Isn’t this the beginning of anarchistic (and dare I say archaic) solution trends where chaos is promoted before solutions are foisted???

  41. 18 Clubs in lusaka against 154 in Luanshya. Timata Timata & Tamanga must be sthitting in their pants. And now we knw on wch side PK is, Governmnt employee.
Mulekenifye Kalu bane, its his time. If u guys wr also meant 2 lead yo time will come but for sure it has not yet come.

  42. As I have said before, the only decent way to the First Office, whether at Football House or State House, is via the ballot box. Let us be civilised enough to wait for our turn, our democracy gives us that chance.
It seems that these hungry chaps can’t wait to get their sticky fingers onto the healthy balance sheet that Kalu has built for FAZ. And let’s leave RB out of this, he only wants to help because of his connection to football, as a democrat will not give orders to anyone including NSCZ. The decision to postpone the AGM was not made by RB, but by those who attended the meeting at State House including FIFA, NSCZ and FAZ.
    A

  43. Ba RB I personally support your presidency but your govt’s stance against Kalu’s team is making me have 2nd thoughts. I’ll start researching about HH and maybe shift my energies to him.

  44. i know simata is my fellow pf but leave kulu to run football in zambia u been in faz be4 u falled us.
VIVA KULU DONT GIVE UP ON THESE FOOLS , I Know they ve the blessings of their friends in MMD and ncsz run by finished chifumu banda.THANKS #12 4 THE INFO

  45. I was at Mubende lodge yesterday and from what i saw, honestly speaking, Kalu has all the support. If those delegets i saw and the comments they were making are anything to go buy, then this no confidence vote will not go anywhere. I was one of those who has all along been misled into thinking that Kalu has no support; no no its a mistke. Kalu is Kalu. Like what one deleget put it to me, there is really no serious indictment that warrants tthe removal of Kalu except for hatred from Simata/Kamanga camp. Now even Government is wrongly persecuting Kalu just becoz ha hsa refuesd to pused around. There was no any security risk at Moba hotel for Government to change the venue. How i wish Faz can take the next meeting to Zambezi or Shangombo. Viva KALU

  46. #59 for that information i hope it true. i think its always easy to criticize and difficult to deliver. chaps like simataa are just talkers how easily hit the road when the going gets touch. as a nation less have more doers and less talkers

  47. ZEBS #65 Bauze bangwele aba They don’t know Great Kalu’s influences. We have previously demanded for them to tell us what illegal activities Kalu is involved in All they give us are nonsensical rumours. I tell you all Kalu haters will end in Chainama this year because they are in for the frustration of their lives. Just as he dribbled past defenders he will go past Chibata feign to the left and pass to the right of Kamanga then poke the ball between a shitting Chifumu Banda and he will be headed towards the 2014 goalpost! Brazil here we come.

  48. GO KALU AFTER YOU HAVE COMMERCIALISED ZAMBIAN FOOTBALL PEOPLE WANT TO JUMP ON THE VICTORY BUS ……….. ABASH SIMATAA X2 AND KAMANGA CAMP, WHAT HAVE THEY 1DIOTS DONE FOR ZAMBIAN FOOTBALL. GREAT KALU HAS INFLUENCE, WE HAVE SPONSORS FOR OUR FOOTBALL NOW, AND YES BECOZ OF HIM … GIVE CREDIT WHERE ITS DUE. THIS TEDDY MULONGA CHAP IS HITTING BACK AT KALU FROM GRZ OFFICES NOW AFTER BEING DEFEATED BY KALU AT FAZ. WE ARE BEHIND YOU GREAT KALU …. PREPARE FOR THE LAST SHOT, THEY ARE COMING DOWN. ZAMBIA OWES YOU ALOT.

  49. :((:((
The problem is Simataa and the Post( Membe Fred). They are raising for great Kalu because their pride is at stake, so they think. Kalu has made it and is still making it even in the formal corporate world where Simataa and M’embe think they are stars. Viva Kalu Viva Eric Mwanza

  50. Gentlemn, I have read ALL the postings and I tell that my eyes are full of tears as some people who do not even know what it takes to run futbol clubs seem to have taken sides? Kalu has done his very best under the circumstances and I assure u dat if it were for the so called Simata Simata he would have resigned? wake up pals and see the sense in what Kalu has done for Zambian soccer, for the very first time super league clubs are having more than US$25 000 to assist with the club admin, this never happened even under TEDDY MULONGA? I was at Mubende and I can testify that the quorun was formed and the meeting could have easily gone anhead if I were the president but thank GOD Kalu was gifted with wisdom and he made the right decision to postpond the meeting to april 30. Shame on u KAMANGA.

  51. Shame on u Simata, Kamanga and Mulonga for misleading the president on your pertiness? U will surely regret this Andrew because you have drown the old man with your cheap manouvers? You must go and apologise to the PRESIDENT Andrew otherwise this futbol issue has costed him the top job? I personally have measured his mantle but count me elsewhere or I may even not vote at ALL?????
