Drug Enforcement Commission-DEC- Chief Investigations Officer under the Anti-Money Laundering unit Frank Tayali has been dismissed for breaching the code of conduct for officers in the Commission.

Mr Tayali was suspended last year to pave way for investigations into allegations that he solicited for a bribe from a suspect.

DEC Public Relations Manager John Nyawali has told ZNBC in a statement that the termination of Mr Tayali’s employment is with immediate effect.

Meanwhile, A 34 year old Zambian businesswoman risks a possible death penalty after being arrested in China for drug trafficking.

Monica Seketi was arrested at Hong Kong International Airport for trafficking in over 700 grams of cocaine.

Ms Seketi becomes a second Zambian woman to be arrested in China for drug trafficking after Mary Musiyalike was sentenced to death by firing squad about two years ago.

China has one of the toughest drug laws in the world with a minimum sentence of death by hanging or firing squad.

  1. Kizito, stop this madness of tribalism. I am Bemba but I dont take kindly tribal sentiments. It’s not funny but foolish and ***** to utter such sentiments that have potential to cause mayhem in the country. Dont take peace for granted which Zambia has, one you will pay dearly. As the Kenyans, they will tell you what transpired in the post-elections. Your comments are not healing a problem that is Zambia is confronted with in respect of women dealing in illicit drugs.

  2. Frank Tayali is Bemba. As for Monica Seketi she is also Bemba speaking, not sure about tribe. I knew a Mr. Seketi in Kabulonga who used to deal in Maize during the FTJ days and he was Bemba inclined.

  3. LT, please immediately delete comments which disparage other tribes. You may be thinking this is a joke, but it has the potential to degenerate into civil strife. More often than not, I read comments where people hiding behind pseudo- names call other tribes names. You have the responsibility to protect your readers from such. Please be prudent enough before things get too hot to handle.

    • KCC, I agree 100%! Comments with any tribal tones should not ne entertained. As much as we are all entitled to free speech, we should be careful with what we say or publish. These tribal comments are a virus, they grow and spread in people’s minds. LT will do us all good by cutting out this nonsense!!

  4. KCC # 6.Good observation. Some people are using this site to pour their frustrations in life & blame either Govt or other tribes.

  5. yes its true, Tonga or Lozi women make the best sweetest prostitutes. And there also clean. I think its their drive for money. Not to worry even if she is shot dead. Another tonger bull fired a blank to give us a replacement beaach.

    Tru Bemba

  6. can the govt come to the rescue of seketi since they protect these chines thieves and muderers here in zambia very much.our people have been shot dead by these thugs and our copper has been stolen by these chinese thieves but nothing has been done.but our lady will be shot to death or hung to death cause of a tablet of drugs ,oh GOD help our zambia .foreigners are much protected than our own blood.

  7. Learn to articulate issues. In each and every Tribe or Race.there are all types and classes of people, that is,good or bad, tall or short, fat or thin, dull or bright, etc etc,So stop pointing fingers at others for any short comings. The bone of contention here is being Zambian, period. If a Zambian excels and wins kudos any where in the world,we all feel good and honored and we are duty bound to celebrate together as Zambians. If at all its the other way round,we should all feel ashamed because Zambia is disgraced. Therefore, the issue of Tribe should not be an issue.

  8. KCC # 6 and No. 8 wanzelu, this site is not for the faint hearted or intolerant chaps like yourselves! This site is for thick skinned, insult dodging, alarmists, mudsling pen-pushing incorrigibles like “Senior Citizens!” Please go home to your mummy!

  9. nyawali what do you do to foreigners you arrest almost everyday over drugs?put powerful laws to these foreigners, you just annonce the arrests of these people but we dont here their punishments. what kind of the country this.

  10. Frank Tayali’ s mother comes from Serenje but his father is unknown. Therefore, he is Lala by tribe. He is got an uncle in Lusaka – Chongwe a Mr.Tayali Wiseman former resident engineer Livingstone Motor Assembly.

  11. The young man is too materialistic and as a result he has ended up marring a filfty rich old woman whose age is as is own mother Ms.Fynes Tayali.

  12. Viva mwamukolooooooooooooooooooooooooooo…………………..!!! Donci kubebbbaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa…………………!!!

  13. dggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggg!!!

  14. Frank is indeed materialistic, if pipo can remember it is the same Tayali who was caught shop lifting in Kitwe Shoprite (when he was at CBU) and was painted with some gloss paint and driven around town for everyone to see. You see old habits die hard, he had it coming.

  15. Tribalism should never be entertained by LT. All tribalists must have their comments deleted. To some of us the issue of tribe is irrelevant as above all we are all Zambians. Yes I am Bemba but have no problem in relating with anyone from another tribe. We are One Zambia, One Nation.

  16. At 22 spot on. You are very correct. I know Tayali from the CBU days. Very stubborn, crooked, cunning and too much women. He was a thief. He was a full blown chongololo who was very materialistic and I didnt see him lasting at DEC. It was a wrong and tempting place for him. He should consider self employment such as keeping chicken for selling. Old habits die hard.

  17. she knew what the aftermath would be,no mercy for criminals, she broke the law and let her be delt with accordingly.this will paint as an example to all drug traffickers.

  18. Dont change the subject to tribe. It is about drug traficking by our women. I dont care which tribe they are from Bemba, Tonga, Lozi, Ngoni etc. I care that they dont get involved in drug trafficking. Please ladies stay away from Cocaine, marijuana and other drugs. Work a decent job. You may not be a millionair in $$$$ but you will be happy. We are tired of excuses. We fought Mary Musyalike now another one. Maybe let the chinese teach a lesson. Am afraid this will continue until one is actally excuted.

  19. THANK GOD THIS THIEF TAYALI WAS FIRED FROM DEC . IN RBS GOVT WHOEVER DARES TO PLAY WITH SATA IS FIRED AND LATER ON JOINS HIM[SATA]
THINK OF SYLVIA MASEBO AT LOCAL GOVT, MANGANI AT HOME AFFAIRS,MULONGOTI AT MIBS,MPOMBO AT DEFENCE ETC. VIVA RB DONCHI KUBEBA THAT YOU ARE ALSO IN THE BOATTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT

  20. Frank Tayali; a leopard can never change it’s spots! This chap has always been a lazo since the CBU days and he’s also a very talented smooth operator. He conned Mazoka and later found himself at DEC! I guess his bs just caught up with him.

  21. NO ONE!!! – NOT EVEN ONE, KICKS A DEAD DOG.Shall we commit ourselves, our county to this years elections this 20TH SEPT .The bible says that you shall reap what you sow. Tayali is a man of many talents who in his life time can contribute and teach us a few things. But like some of us, who know him and who can understand him – a word of advise to our brother is to reflect very critically on his life and see how else he can redeem himself and society accept him.To loose a job of his stature and letalone face riddicle in this kind, is shame and punishment enough for an Eng.graduate and man of his staure/calibre.Please Tayali remain faithfull and focused and remameber this is not the end now. Many tribulations you will face but like a true christian and believer look up to Jesus. Good luck F.T

  22. You guys, leave mr frank tayali alone, focus on your bussines, his a succesful man n al u do is condem his, thats the problem with us africans,we are always despising succesful people.
