FODEP condemns intentions by the Zambia Police service to collaborate with the Zimbabwe police

7. So what powers does a Zimbabwean officer have in Zambia since its outside his jurisdiction apart from being an observer. When does he use the baton when you fail to form a single line? Who feeds and transports these officers? Why not use Zambia Army they have time for peacekeeping in East Africa why not use them here to keep the peace, they have expeience?. Where is our sense of Sovereignty, this is what happens when the country’s Constitution is not worth the paper its printed on….

26. If the story is true, as I suspect it to be since the Govt has not rebutted this rumour so far, then it is unfortunate. Trully the presence of Zimbabwean Police Force will just fuel confusion in our midst. I would like to humbly appeal to the Govt to abort this move unless the Govt is preparing to butcher its own pipo. We are as a country not ready for civil war. We still have hope that one day things will be ok in our country. Until we lose that hope, we would like to say ‘No to civil war’.
