  1. The usual useless summit…AU is just as bad as UN…..Trump said UN should be disbanded or kicked out of New York

    • Emmanuel Mwamba is the Ambassador to Ethiopia, give him back his job.
And minister of information is Dora Siliya.
Why change people whenever you change President?

  2. Some people are in their elements when they attend such functions. It’s the equivalent of meeting your mates at a pub to them.

  3. Lyanganu ze! Just how I hate the expression below, every time any Zambian president travels out or into the country you this this nauseating script below:
“The plane carrying the President touched down at Bole International Airport at exactly 18:30 hours local time.”

    • You and me alike. The other one i cant stand due to over use:
      “Died on the spot”
How about …. Died/perished/lost their life at the scene
There are alternative euphemisms our reporters could use but too lazy to put in a little extra effort to look them up

    • Why indeed as a reader do I need to know the exact landing time of any craft? The lazy reporter is just looking for words to send to his editor.

  4. Oh, the African annual jamboree in Addis Ababa. There’s a civil war right now in Ethiopia as African leaders meet. ln the evening they will go for their banquet to eat and drink on our behalf. The next day, they will fantasize about establishing one currency and one cdntral bank for the continent; an utterly out-of-reach goal but it’s pushed mainly by West Africans, a part of Africa that’s refusing to grow up.

  5. Wasting tax payers money when the economy is sinking. He should be in zambia sorting out the mes he has created. Instead he is busy flying around and directing his thugs to arrest me. I am currently in his village

  8. He used to call his friend the former president ati” Kamwendo Munjila” but this guy has already broken the record of travelling over his friend that he used to condemn. Just in over two years he has surpassed the trips that his colleague made in Seven years. And he is not ashamed to be reminded of this. He even boasts that he is doing much better when he can’t point at anything, even to show for the money he has borrowed in a very short period of time.

    • I think we should have been more worried if he travelled less. Firstly, lungu didn’t travel as much because he really didnt have many friends apart from china, King Mswati and a few others. To the point, HH has had a lot of bridges to mend, putting out fires created by PF eg bond payment default which sent ripples across the globe about our solvency; various negotiations, ‘Zambia brand building’, rebuilding confidence in Zambia and Zambians among other tasks. We were in a critical place. You cant fix a damaged international image via zoom. Ambassadors can now begin to built on what HH has achieved. We Zambians dont get out of Zambia enough to ubderstand how tarnished our image was.

  9. The question of whether intellectual properties or financial institutions should come first is not a matter of one preceding the other, but rather of recognizing their interdependence. Both IP protections and robust financial institutions are essential for fostering innovation, economic growth, and societal progress. Rather than prioritizing one over the other, a balanced and symbiotic approach that strengthens IP rights while concurrently providing ample financial support is crucial for maximizing the societal and economic benefits of innovation. Ultimately, a harmonious integration of intellectual properties and financial institutions is essential for driving sustainable progress and fostering a climate of innovation and prosperity.

  10. Which African nations are at the forefront of safeguarding and advancing intellectual property rights within their respective jurisdictions, and what specific initiatives or strategies have they employed to attain this standing? How might these efforts be beneficial for the citizens of Zambia?

  11. Some of us in the diaspora, sometimes have wrong emphasis or misplaced perception over the real issues in our country. Does it matter to any Zambian that their president has no friends outside but they have food on the table? Hakainde May have 101 friends but who benefits from those friends. If you take what we have currently only an imaginary Zambian can approve of the situation, it is pathetic. But those in the diaspora who have meals everyday in their foreign land can afford to bluff and have misplaced view over local realities.

  12. There only two presidents who will speak sense at this useless insaka. These are Yoweri Museveni and Paul Kagame. The rest will be looking at European representatives to see if they approve of what they are going to say.

  13. The world expected the African Union to dwell on (a) matters of security in Congo DR, Northern Mozambique, Sudan and West Africa; (b) and to resolve Continental Trade in Africa. Hence, relevant Ministers to accompany the President to Ethiopia should have been the Minister of Foreign Affairs, the Minister of Defense and Minister of Commerce. Zambians can only speculate that the other fleet of Ministers that attended the AU Summit was a Project to loot Govt money through allowances as a reward for brutalizing former President, his family and opposition leaders before the onset of winter in 2026.
