Kennedy Mweene Donates to Former club Kitwe United

Chipolopolo Goalkeeper Kennedy Mweene has donated a set of jerseys to his former side’s Kitwe United, Kafue Celtic, Paramilitary and State House Football Clubs worthy about K15 Million.

Mweene of South Africa’s Free State Stars confirmed this when he donated kit worthy K 3 Million to Kitwe United at the Civic Centre on Monday afternoon.

The keeper said he wants to payback to the teams that helped him to be where he is.

Mweene hoped that the donation he has made to Kitwe United would motivate the Buchi Boys in their quest to bounce back to the Super Division.

“For me this is something I have wanted to do. I am taking this opportunity to pay back to teams where I am coming from,” he said.

“I think this donation will work to their (Kitwe United) advantage, I have seen they are doing well in the league, what a good time to make a donation,” Mweene added.

Receiving kit on behalf of United, Kitwe Mayor Chileshe Bweupe saluted Mweene for the gesture.

  1. Thumbs up! That is the way to go young man. If you maintain that attitude, you will be unstoppable, and will keep rising.

  2. I like Mweene, some people are just born good. Thats why even his chief gave him land and cows. He is supporsed to be Zambian national team captain, not the other guys, he can’t even buy some ‘made-in-China’ uniforms for his primary school.

    • You are correct Nostradamus. Dojo do litole sana. Has Kalusha contributed anything tangible to Mufulira Wanderers? Mulekwatako amano ba Dojo do and you should reason with yo head and not yo ass!

  3. An example of a good Tonga but I doubt ngati ni original iyi because ba Tonga bamene niziba ine monga HH nipatali kuganiza so, DNA ifunika

  4. Well done Mweene.Zambians lets all learn to be generous. The bible says it is more bleesed to give than to receive.Mweene you are blessed.

  5. #3 Nostradamus. Can I believe that Chris katongo used to sleep with your dirty stinking wife??? Leave the man alone.

  6. Chingalika Kitwe United nesele muleke. Please Mayor Bweupe what are your plans over KPF? The last time I passed through that area on my way to Kwacha East it was an eye sore. What are our city fathers thinking about the once glamorous Kitwe Playing Fields. Can the Honorable Minister Kambwili talks to corporate world to do something about KPF.

  7. This is good, hope Kalusha Bwalya will donate to Mighty Mufulira Wanderers as well.

  8. nice one, when you retire please buy one of those clubs and run it like a club is supposed to be run. now if the rest of the squad, not that im demanding them, but they should do likewise.

  9. Tats how life MUST be.Pipo must always remember where they came fro thru appreciations.God bless u Mweene.

  10. ONLY A BULL CAN DO THAT …. THE LIST IS LONG KALUSA, MUSONDA, KATONGO …… THEY CAN NOT DO SUCH

  11. thats good. i hope former unza students will do the same. after benefit free education from kaunda they are failing to donate even a 100 pin to unza what a shame on them.they are spending alot of money they are getting paid in eatting and drinking. failing to make a scholarship fund or to help unza after benefiting from tax payer moyer money.

  12. This is not inspiring, only ka 15million kwacha donation , are u trying to join politics? 15M can be given without seing the face of a mayor, pipo have donated and they are not publicised like mweene, just say u want to be a polititian, no problem we shall bruise you. Its high time we also replaced him as goal keeper, i remember sudan game the man was busy organising his defence only to see the ball in the net hahahahahaha..atase
