PF will be to blame for the looming by-elections – Ndhlovu

Share

A former deputy minister in the Chiluba administration has said that President Sata will be to blame should the country have the nine by-elections as a result of the looming expulsion of the MMD parliamentarians serving in the Patriotic Front Government.

Alfred Ndhlovu, former communication and transport deputy minister, said that the fact that President Michael Sata has not picked any member of parliament from the UPND to serve in his government is a fact that he is only interested to destabilize the MMD especially in Eastern province.

Mr. Ndhlovu said that there is no way a party that won an election can opt to use members of a party that lost to run its administration.

Speaking to QFM, Mr. Ndhlovu said that it would have been understood if president Sata had only picked 3 of the MMD MP’s to work with and not a huge number of nine.

And Mr. Ndhlovu said that if the by-elections were to take place, they would not be as expensive as the dissolution of parliament as earlier threatened by president Sata.

Mr. Ndhlovu said it is up to those in power to ensure that the country does not spend on any by-election by finding replacements for the opposition MP’s serving in government.

  1. It’s not Michael Sata that has threatened to expel the MPs. It is the new MMD President Nevers Mumba. So I am surprised at this deliberate omission of facts. The prospect of bye-elections could easily be averted if Nevers Mumba ceases to be so obstinate.

  2. this ndhlovu guy must be a foolish chap and knows nothing about history, this clearly shows that mmd had intentions to crush the opposition when they appointed pf mps, they say what goes around comes back around u are testing the dose of your own medicine.

  3. By-elections will never take place believe me you.Nevers Mumba is simply using cheap politics in order to weigh the mood of his members just wait a minute you will see what comes forth.

  4. CHIPATA hahahaha no point ,those pipo accepted to work with pf because of pipo not sata or pf, .@ 2 i agree with you bro/sis

  5. @ Mumba, what point????? This Ndhlovu guy is talking trash and belongs to the heap of political rubbish. The expelling of MMD MPs will actually weaken the MMD in parliament (becoz they will lose some seats in a bye election).

Are you telling me it wasn’t ok when MMD President Nevers Mumba was appointed as veep from the opposition??? What has changed now?????

My advise to the MMD is to build on whatever influence they have in running of government that they have this far.

  6. # 8 As much as we tolerate anyone to write unsavoury things because of freedom of expression, still insults will never take you anywhere. If not careful the same people you despise(PF) can go beyond 2021.You are a bitter moron and take or leave it they are in government.

  7. No.12, you really hate the truth. It is indeed a fact that PF is government just as it is fact that UKWA is ailing big time.

  8. If Nevers Mumba wants committed members and disciplined, he can only find those in church. Political arena doesn’t have any of such members. He was not committed to Victory Ministry, NCC and the spokesperson opposition coalition which he abandoned to get into Government and serve as Vice President.

  9. From the opposition he was appointed a Veep,,,,what now what is his matata,,,,cheap politics ,,,awe we need issue based ones….

  10. #14 taliban,
Everybody is asking a similar question. Zambians are not being told the truth about our president. We do not know whether he is in the UK or in India and on what business. Quite frankly this is not right. As a matter of procedure a communique must be issued daily to update the people about the welfare of their leader but in this administration secrecy is the norm. What is George Chellah’s job and of course the Min of Info?

  11. Ndhlovu is right, what democracy,Ukwa could have chosen from the broad array of opposition parties we have, why from MMD alone which they continuosly despise as corrupt. Its corruption in the mind of Ukwa to have only picked MMD

  12. A Ndhlovu is “expecially” wrong. UPND were in alliance with PF and pulled out just before the polls. What is the point of appointing their MPs? In any case, it is not just about having a broad representation, but appointing and choosing people who have something to offer.

  13. The MMD Mps will not be expelled as there is already a precedence in law when PF failed to expel Faustina Sinayngwe, Peter Machungwa, et al. The MMD trying to expel their own MPs for this frivolous reasom and cause 9 by-elections will be hated by all progressive Zambians except afew Nevers buddies! Anyway MMD good luck with this escapade, you will need it and just remember Nevers Sekwila Mumba, whatever comes arround, goes arround! This means it will come back and bite you on your own black arse!

  14. # 15 so called Mimi its nice you have admitted and just keep on waiting, but i just hope you will not be fazed away by unforeseen circumstances looming other political parties MMD and UPND.Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication just watch the space.

  15. Its not PF or President Sata, that’s dull thinking, every president including RB appointed Minister from Opposition, so whats new????????????????????

    Think you careless talkers.

  16. #25 so called nameless, what have I agreed to which I was denying?? Are you sure you are not hearing strange voices in your head?? You are the one who is probably denying that your master UKWA is sick.

  17. # 28 Mimi finally I have seen logic in your reasoning, but i have not said anything with regard to what you have just said about the sickness. But maybe that might have been known a long time ago during MWANAWASA’S reign so what is the fuss all about.

  18. #29 I am glad we are now speaking the same language, I was worried that there might voices ringing in your head. Over the sickness no fuss about it but the need to know what’s up our CNP.

  19. Shallow and twisted logic! MMD will be the only party losing in these by-elections courtesy of the failed pastor. This guy failed to organise his church, how do you expect him to organise a political party? Politics are very different from religion, in 4 years MMD will have very few MP’s remaining.

  20. This former Minister is silly, does he even know how to read, how can you fault the President for appointing opposition Parliamentarians, silly politics. I have now can to conclude that we have a lot of stupid people who just want to open their big mouths.

  21. Ba Ndlovu you are talking in reverse! Is it President Sata who wants to expel the MMD MPs or it is MMD leadership. The President has done all the appointments in good faith, but MMD leadership has taken it wrongly. When somebody is guilty he will be annoyed whenever he sees people talking and laughing, thinking that he is the subject of their discussion. In my opinion MMD is dying of inferiority complex.
