  1. RB utulo pamenso like a flog big up sata man of action ga alusa fyongo PABWATOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

  2. If PF of UPND loses blame no one but your supporters for the poor turn out. This evident by a low turn out by the voters.

We have another three years of MMD, i no it hurts especially when everyone is eager for change. This is a lesson to all those people who have tendancy of doing things at a last minute. We can’t continue to cry of spilt milk. 2011 all would be eligible voters must register and keep their cards safe.

  3. Voted for HH,I’m worried about the low turn out of voters.I think this will work to the advantage of RB cause these low turn outs are in urban areas.Just goes to show that most people attending rallies dont even vote.

  4. is this old man sleeping or praying coz he likes sleeping.i wonder who can be happy to have a sleepy president.viva ubwato lets go president SATA.NIPABWATOOOOOOOOOOO

  5. BELIEVE YOU ME SATA IS WINNING.I KNEW THAT ONE DAY GOD WILL LOOK DOWN.COME WAT MAY,MAY WAT COME WETHER IT RAINS GAS OR MUCUS SATA IS THE NEW PRESIDENT.SATA FOR PRESIDENT NIPABOAT CABE UBWATOOOOOOOOOOO

  6. But this Guy is sleep. I was thinking that Pipo were just saying. Now I have seen it. I don´t think Zambia needs a sleepy guy like this one(rb).

  7. HH HH HH ukutangila tekufika….. man i pray that HH will stop sending the country back 20 years…. may the best man win. the fighting is now over

  8. THE FIRST PERSON TO BE FIRED IS SISALA THE CHAP IS A DISGRACE.INFACT HE’S SUPOSED TO BE CHARGED FOR INCOMPETENCE AND JOIN CHILUBA ON THE WAITING LIST,THEN THE ENTIRE ZNBC MANAGEMENT AND DAN KALALE

  9. its also fair for me to say all candidates have shown that they are capable of leading this country. and now that campaigning is over, i wish MCS and RB good luck as well…. I appreciate all that they have done for zed, and the loser should not be worried cos we need a strong oposition

  10. COUNTRY MEN TAKE A GOOD LOOK AT RUPIA’s FACE.THE CHAP SEEM TO BE DOZING.JUST SOME SECONDS OF CASTING A VOTE HES SLEEPING,NOW CAN HE WITHSTAND BURDEN OF PRESIDENCY I REST MY CASE AS WE WAIT TO INUAGRET MR SATA AS OUR NEW PRESIDENT.

  11. Is there maximum age for presidential candidates? At 65years of age civil workers get retired and go on pension, can anyone older than 65 years of age REALLY get the job done as a presido? Vibrant energetic, intelligent young guys in their 50’s are what is needed for the Top Job, not some old farts who would kick the bucket when the going gets tough as Chief commander for the Zambian nation.

  12. oh...oh...it seems akulu mpuno started counting ballots at 9hrs. what is he trying 2 do...rb is tired...he needs 2 rest...is he counting ballot papers or dosing.. oh...oh...it seems akulu mpuno started counting ballots at 9hrs. what is he trying 2 do...rb is tired...he needs 2 rest...is he counting ballot papers or dosing..

    SLEEPING MAN

  13. RB is taking the day, whether you cry or sing. He is the man to take us to higher heights,

    Viva RB chimwela!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  14. RB really has a very big nose. Itlooks as if he has another nose on top of his eyes. He an scare deligates attending iportant meeting. however, i can be happy if he wins rather than a thug sata. i can be the happiest if HH wins.

  15. #30 its not the face that sweept thandiwe away but the money u know. Believe it o not girls like financial security. In short u might be handsome bt if u dnt have the money and the brains then u wont get the lady of your dreams. Wishing Zambia gud luck and Gods guidance during this period May the best candidate win.

  16. People should refrain from talking about rigging unless they have evidence to back their allegations. I strongly feel that if MMD wins again this time, it will be largely because of the poor turn up of opposition voters rather than manipulation. They may not be monitored by outside bodies but I think they are so self-confident that they have no plans of rigging.

  17. #38 we need to clap for her she is strong. imagine a situation that u are married to the nose and have to imagine he is someone else a pimped up version perhaps

  18. Aha ha ha ha! that desparate look on the face kuli akulu mpuno.iyee mayo.sorry bane mweeh

Special thanks to all LT bloggers especially those who did not insult anyone. PF cadres, it was great noting how focussed you were: the ‘pabwato’ thingy by you was constant and normally made my fellow HH supporters loses hope time-and-again until I would boost HH supporters morale. MMD cadres, it was a good run with you too. HP, sorry but try again to put up a good support. As for my fellow the UPND’s HH support base, it was great meeting you and participating in a noble cause to develop Zambia together.

  23. its official, sata has won by 39% of the votes, banda has already consided defeat before the results are announced 2morow,check the state house web site if you dout me,sata its now your time 2 show who is bosssssssssss

One zambia one nation.

  26. B4 they even start counting the votes Sata is reported to have said that MMD have rigged the elections, i think he is not being sincere. He should prove it. But election moitors have said they have seen no evidence of rigging. The low turnout in lusaka is good for RB. Viva RB!

  27. RB supporters will die tonight!!
    Pf has carried the day.
Just the matter of time everything will be breaking news.
    Southern voted 4 HH.western 4 rb and HH.northwestern Rb.eastern Rb.

We are king makers, the true destiny-changers! We re political gods! We rock! Guys put your hands together for us! We re a great pipo!

  29. #58 ts, wanya wanya!!! Check out BBC where SATA is already crying foul play. Takuli PABWATO…….kuya ku Chinsali bebele. The Tadpole will rule Zambia for another 15 years!!! You better get used to it or go jump off a bridge!!!

  30. Zambia’s opposition leader has accused the governing party of rigging polls as the country voted to replace deceased President Levy Mwanawasa.
Michael Sata, who claimed security forces had been intimidating voters, warned that he would not accept defeat.
But correspondents and officials said the vote had passed peacefully, while an election monitor said he had seen no evidence of rigging. From the BBC.

Signs of a loser! why should one man hold the country to ransom?

  31. Kwena Sata is a coward, how can he proclaim rigging before even the results are announced, counting has hardly started, and if he wins what will he say? Lelo nada bwa ba kaponya are busy nursing their hung overs and dont give it a thought! Just read BBC, am sure everyone agrees the man is comical.

  32. The MMD have carried the day which is good for the country has we have avoided unpredictability, autocracy and populist policies.

  33. 74, please learn some good manners, that is your father. Then you wonder where imi pamba come from. If you are Zambian, remember PK sung pamuchinshi kupakalamba nangu te ba wiso bakufyala… Na landa napela aba toba ama yanda ili ngiline fipuba

  34. Sata leta data ya rigging, otherwise you should be behind bars for alarming us- WE ARE FED UP OF THIS RIGGING STORY FOR ONCE PROVE IT, man?

  35. Continued..
I thank all the lesser tribes(native) for the good angry times we had on the blogg. Am leavin for seattle next week to start clocking my commercial pilots lisence on the B777. I did simulations with ARROW in Atlanta en miami. I start flyn sorties all over north america! Plan to settle in belgique with DAS AIR .i hear they pay well

  36. Sata has kissed dust again
He has fallen short and behind to third position.
He was last in 5 4 provinces and second in 2 and 1st in three.
    Sata kuya bebele.

  37. BBC story : Zambia’s opposition leader has accused the governing party of rigging polls as the country voted to replace deceased President Levy Mwanawasa.
Michael Sata, who claimed security forces had been intimidating voters, warned that he would not accept defeat.
But correspondents and officials said the vote had passed peacefully, while an election monitor said he had seen no evidence of rigging.
Mr Banda is standing against Zambia’s acting president, Rupiah Banda.
Voters queued from early on Thursday, though polling stations in the capital, Lusaka, were reported to be quiet before polls closed at 1600 GMT.
Police had been put on high alert for what is expected to be a close vote.

  38. Continued ….. Mr Sata had called on his supporters to sleep outside polling booths to prevent rigging.
As he cast his vote on Thursday he said there was no way Mr Banda’s Movement For Multi-Party Democracy could win without cheating, accusing the police of helping rig the vote.
“I have never seen this type of panicking and this is because they have rigged the election,” he said.
“It is the first time that the army commander who is supposed to protect people is predicting violence.”
Asked whether he would accept a loss, he said: “No.”
    ‘Peaceful’
But Ephraim Mateyo, the inspector general of Zambia’s police force, said his forces were there to ensure law and order, not to intimidate.

  39. it was just a warning from sata so tht they can’t rig the elections
so far pf is carrying the day.nothern province voted in large numbes compared to rb provinces
wait a bit you gonna cry.
your father is no longer a minister mambala
    pf

  40. Number 82 is shameless liar. Polls have just closed. ALL THE SATA PEOPLE ARE IN FOR A SCHOCK. VOTING IS NOT ABOUT WHO SHOUTS MOST. LET US SEE WHAT HAPPENS. THE BEMBA WAY OF DOING THINGS IS NOT THE RIGJHT WAY. LOIK AT SATA HE ALREADY CLAIMING RIGGING WITHOUT AN IOTA OF EVIDENCE.

THE POST WAS MANIPULATING PICTURES TO CMAIM MAMONTH RALLIES. MMEMBE AND SATA ARE MADE FROM THE SAME CLOTH.

  41. Ladies and Gentlemen watch the Post. tomorrow they will run a story declaring Sata as winner. remember how they declared Levy in 2006 even before counting was finished?

  42. # 53, thoz words cn only come frm an intellectual. i am for pf and i knew u wea upnd. we wud fight bt at the end of th day we r stil brothas regardles of tribe or political affiliation. bravo maestro

  43. It’s a shame to see comments about RB’s looks. The bible says “God has made man in his own image”. Lets discuss matters that can make us learn, I for this reason find it hard to blog most of the times.RB and Micheal Sata are our parents and don’t deserve to be laughed at because of the way they look.Lets highlight their shortcomings and positives if any rather than go to unproductive comedy.

  44. I must admit that LT has kept me informed busy for quite a while now and I will miss it once the counting is finally over. I was extremely happy with the interests that the people especially in the diaspora exhibited on the site. Of course there were some other guys i couldn’t just understand! One who come to mind is PONYAX for example – he just made me realise that we indeed live in a complex word… I had a soft spot for the LONDON GIRL.. LONDON GIRL! are U in the Ukrain? or where.
Otherwise thank you so much to all who contributed to this democratic debate. God Bless Zambia

  45. #95 Solution you are great, our country needs more people like you.Bloggers lets not lose our humanity.I all with my hear conquer with solotion blogger #95.Respect to you

  46. #86 Thanks for that update, where did you get it from? I’ve just been zapping thru all international media channels but there’s nothing being reported on Africa except for the guerilla warfare in the DRC and the refugee chaos that’s broken out in there in Goma. Thank God this is not happening in Zed.

  47. SO FAR SATA IS LEADING ON THE COPPERBELT WITH
9000 VOTES RB HAS 1700 VOTES FROM THE STATIONS COUNTED SO FAR .THE GENERAL SCENE HERE ON THE COPPERBELT IS THAT SATA IS LEADING SO FAR FROM POLLINGSTATIONS IN NDOLA,KITWE,LUANSHYA,CHILLIES,MUF…PLOT 1 HERE WE COME PABWATTTTOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO…RADIO ICHENGELO IS GIVING UPDATES

  48. In this day of ‘PHOTOSHOP,’ don’t believe the pictures you see. You can easily ‘cut and paste’ a picture of a politician over a vast crowd of people to show popularity. I am amazed that the Post Newspaper is only now posting video clips but of what? Of people voting! Why did we not have video clips of the political ralies? Don’t say ‘vinabwela mochedwa.! I smell photographic rigging! Those pictures may have come from the achives and pasted together for effect. Going by Simutanyi’s issue with the Malupenga, I cannot pass this beyond them.

  49. #89 am not a shameless liar , but this is the truth he is leading with a big marging on the copperbelt. take it or leave it but you soon find out.

  50. SATA LEADING IN LUSAKA….MWANYA TABWELAMANJE YOU THOUGHT WE WHERE JOKING……GO COBRA GO COBRAAAAAAAAAAAAAA ITS COOL IN THE BOAT…….PABWATOOOOOOOO

  51. most bloggers want to be #1. well i am cool with being #112. sata shuold also accept not being #1 in the polls coz truth be told that will be the outcome.

  54. It really hurts to be far away from home. This place has become so cold, grey and depressing. Today, my heart felt so vacant and desolated as I thought about events going on back home. The Germans have a word for that “Heimweh”.

  55. Well results are trickling in on QFM. Nyauzi in Chisangali, MMD- 234, PF-19, UPND- 19 and of course HP-6. I wonder where this palce is, just heard Presiding officer on QFM!

  56. The ship has already been turned away from South Africa and Mozambique. The Chinese vessel was said to be bound for Angola but the US is reported to be pressuring port authorities there and in Namibia not to allow them to dock. The ship, which had been anchored off the port of Durban for four days, was forced to move on Friday after a South African court refused. Despite reports the ship was heading for Angola, but Angolan Ports Filomeno Mendonca said the vessel had not asked for permission to dock in Angola. This ship has not sought request to enter Angolan territorial waters and it’s not authorised to enter Angolan ports,” he told local radio. A South African military spokesman has said th

  57. Our country needs everyone’s participation. I hope most of the people who engage in this space will take time to take an active role in the 2011 elections. This is the time for energetic young men and women to begin the mobilisation towards 2011. Do not enjoy your comfort zones, take the first step by joining an existing party or forming one – provided it wont go the new generation which has degenerated into a boys club.

All the best to the man who wins, let us congratulate the and stop being negative about your own country and leadership. Regards to you and hope for peace to all the sons and daughters of mother zambia.

  59. ONE OF THE POLLING STATIONS MATERO (SPELLING)

    SATA PF 287

    MMD RB 120

    UPND HH 30

    HP GM 3

    SOURCE…RADIO PHOENIX.

  60. listern to radio phoenix!
    pf so far so good
    i told u guy.
    i’ve news 4 u
    pffffffffffffffffff winning.
    pf coped all lusaka

  61. @#131. braking news

Don’t get over excited. Lusaka does not represent the whole Zambia. This time we are striking the snake on the head so as to get rid of it for good.

Next elections if PF will be represented by Given Lubinda or Guy Scott, I will most definitely support PF (Given no better candidate springs up e.g BOZ Governor Fundanga).

  62. America is likely to vote for a young energetic President on 4th Nov. Tanzania, Botswana [our neighbours] and France all have young energetic Presidents. The UK is also likely to get one in the near future. Why should Zambia move several steps backwards? The job at Plot One is quite demanding! Would you vote for Obama or McCain? Tsvangirai or Mugabe? HH or an Octagenarian [Sata & Banda]? The die has been cast. Ohh mother Zambia, what a PITY. As the Nigerian author Chinua Achebe put it: Things Fall Apart, The Centre Cannot Hold!

  63. Ask Tanzanians what they think about Kikwete you will be disappointed. apparently they do not hold him in high esteem. I was equally disappointed . I loved to use him as an example until i met some Tanzanians. they have more respect for Mkapa than him.

  64. Iwe Chama Chakomboka what extra ballot boxes are talking about. Do you have evidence of the same. aza wina chabe vlean. why are you forgetting that the MMD has an advantage of a sympathy vote and the incumbency

  65. yeah 130 dont get too excited those maybe wiped out from Eastern and Copperbelt Rural and ! western or Northwestern coz Sata wil trail in those areas.

  66. #137. Granted! But Mkapa was also a young leader who retired in the prime of his life and, [as #137 is saying], is held in high esteem by the Tanzanians. Why should a person like Ali Hassan Mwinyi want to rule Tanzania again, Waziona? We just need a younger more energetic President. Too much work will stress the octagenarians and inflict a stroke on their spent bodies. Sentiments aside and let the head do the thinking!

  67. its unfortunate the young man who voted late afetrnoon is no where near reality and that is HH. He may even lose ground in southern province in the same manner McCain is sharing in North Carolina and Florida with Barack Obama

  68. we know that sata will sweep copperbelt, lusaka, luapula, northern, central without a problem. Then what a u talking about #137.Rb is only famours in eastern, northwestern and western.Rb can just win through rigging. Mind you southern is 4 HH.Then some parts western provice Rb will share with HH.so what are u talking about?

  69. #145 miyanda is getting 0000 votes in all polling stations.he won’t score more than 5,000 the all country.useless chap

  70. There is bucks given by donors it must be netherlands blah.. blah. of democracy institute kaya uko. they give money for party mobilisation and capacity building. thats the money they use on workshop. maybe he got something or he has to be active to get something.

  71. As i told pf will carry the day.
    luapula,copperbelt,lusaka,nothern,central.
Mind there was low turn out of people.northwestern this time is not a threat because of low turn out in the province just like western province. So Rb is just in problems.Ecz is also useless coz doen’t know how to run the institution

  72. #11, ndalumba kapati. #36, a word of encouragement to all, in 2006 while studying in South Africa during a similar election result anxiety period, I congratulated Mr Micheal Sata for winning the Presidential election way before all the results from all constituencies came in. However, it so happened that Mr Sata lost those elections terribly where by he got 29% and late Former Zambian LP Mwanawasa won with 43-6%. To this end,I learnt my lessons. In Bemba, they say “ukutangila tekufika.” Remember,a similar thing happened to late Mazoka in 2001. My former history teachers used to say “history repeats iself.” In light of all this, I urge all Zambians to keep cool and wait for the final results.

  73. NOW THAT WE BEEN INFORMED THAT RB WON,HERE IS THE NEXT NEWS..FAZ- president, Kalusha Bwalya is confident
Football Association of Zambia- FAZ- president, Kalusha Bwalya, says the Zambia national soccer team has a chance of qualifying for the 2010 World Cup finals in South Africa.
Bwalya says the Chipolopolo boys are capable of beating any team in their qualiying group, which includes reigning African champions Egypt.
He says FAZ will soon meet with government officials to draw up the team’s training programme in an effort to prepare adequately for the qualifiers.
Zambia begins her quest for a maiden world cup appearance with an away tough encounter against group favourites, Egypt, in March

  74. Things are happennin St Michael is still leadin especially on the Copperbelt as at now, Mushili has worn the Ndola Central seat……Good luck Zed…..

  75. IAM SHOCKED THAT PIPO ARE STILL TALKING ABOUT THE ELECTIONS WHICH WERE WON BY RB, JUST SWALLOW YOUR PRIDE ALL THE LOSING PARTIES AND JOIN HANDS WITH THE GOVT OF THE DAY IN DEVELOPING ZED

  76. the good old are back. days wen pipo want to cast their noses into the ballot boxes. wel wats good about that?????? Go PF GO…
