Power Dynamos midfielder Mulenga Mukuka, his clubmate mate Joseph Sitali and Zesco United striker Jackson Mwanza have been nominated for the 2012 Zambian Footballer of the Year Award.
Faz on Friday announced the shortlist for the Zambian Player of the Year Award with the Mukuka in a tight race for honours with his two contenders
Nkana striker Reynold Kampamba who will receive the top scorer award for scoring 14 league goals this season will compete against National Assembly’s Lubambo Musonda and Moses Phiri of Zanaco for the Young Player of the Year Award.
Super Division champions Zanaco coach Keagan Mumba will be confronted by Power coach Beston Chambeshi and Konkola Mine Police trainer Masautso Mwale for the Coach of the Year  Award.
According to the Faz website, Most Disciplined Player of the Year nominees are Emmanuel Chimpinde,Harry Milanzi and Dennis Banda.
Jani Sikazwe,Gladys Lengwe and Wellington Kaoma are competing for the Best Referee of the Year Award.
I see a bright football future in the young man Mukuka Mulenga.

I saw this player against South Africa and I thanked God for the tarent this has been blessed with. He has even given us Mbesuma for a consolidation striker. AFCON and World Cup here we come.

Why not let Mukuka Mulenga “make name” az Mukuka Mulenga?!!! And I wish to be educated here; what iz the criterior for nomination of top playerz’ award, 3 to 5 gamez, or the entire seazon?
Is it the competition which is getting tough or what? In 1972 Godfrey Ucar Chitalu scored 107 goals in one season! There will never be another Ucar. No wonder he assembled the greatest team that perished off the coast of Gabon.
If my memory sevez me right, George Mofya scored 57 goalz in one seazon for Brave Rangers…
