Zambia face Mozambique in Cosafa Cup quarterfinals

Hosts Zambia has been draw against Mozambique in the 2013 Cosafa Castle Cup quarterfinals.

Herve Renards side together with five other teams received group stage byes during the draws that were made on May 3 at Southern Sun Ridgeway Hotel in Lusaka.

Zambia will face Mozambique on July 14 at Godfrey ‘Ucar’ Chitalu Stadium in Kabwe in a 15:00 kickoff.

Winner of that quarterfinal match will face the winner of the quarterfinal match between South Africa and top finisher from Group A.

Group A consists of Tanzania, Namibia, Mauritius and The Seychelles.

In the other quarterfinal draws, Malawi will face Zimbabwe while Angola awaits the winner from Group B comprising of Kenya, Botswana, Swaziland and Lesotho.

All preliminary group stages and quarterfinal games will be played at ‘Ucar’ and Nkoloma Stadium in Lusaka.

Losers from the quarterfinals will take part in a Plate event to be held at Arthur Davies Stadium in Kitwe on July 16 and 18.

Semifinal, third and fourth placed matches and final will take place at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in Ndola on July 17 and July 20 respectively.

  1. nowdays its either zambia are given a group stage bye to make a quarter final or fifa awards them a 3-0 win to top the group, how about a referee giving them a fake penalty to draw nigeria. they can not do it themselves…. where is the Zambia of 2012?

    • Kupusa batini! That’s the first thing to pop up in your ka little head? Negativity upon negativity. Go and watch netball if you want. This is not fantasy, one can never always be at the top. It’s not always that Brazil wins the world cup, neither Man U the Premier League, neither Barcelona the La Liga, neither Power Dynamos the Faz Super League. Once you are able read between these, then you would be grown up and worth to conisder big issue like the Chipolopolo.
