Forum for Democracy and Development (FDD) president Edith Nawakwi has challenged Minister of Labour and Acting Government Spokesperson Fackson Shamenda to give a true or false answer to questions that have been released to the media. This follows a tit for tat fight of words between Mr Shamenda and Ms Nawakwi.
Below are the full questions released to the media.

Since it has become apparently clear to us that the Hon. Minister of Labour and Acting Government Spokesperson Hon. Shamenda seems to be having difficulties to comprehend serious national issues that require critical analysis we have requested him to respond to these multiple choice Question listed below by answering to each question True or False.

Nawakwi is being very kind to the PF. She could have included serveral questions on the Judiciary, ECZ and a couple on the DPP (such as the DPP is a forgery artist) and one for Kabimba (Did Kabimba lie to Parliament on the removal of RB’s immunity). Nevertheless, these are grade two questions but I have no doubt thwt Mr Shamenda will have difficulty responding. Perhaps Kabimba will have a go but expect some diarrea first and the usual PF lies.

Real politics is emerging in Zambia. PF can make it exciting by embracing dialogue and conversations. Currently, PF is full of scatter brains and clueless persons. Imagine if PF could answer those questions with figures they would entangle themselves from the trap Nawakwi has set to ambush them with. When was the last time Zambia had a surplus budget? Nawakwi is not being genuine, she was a Finance minister and she knows for the fact the our national budgets has never being on surplus since the 70’s. Why would we need donors to our budget if we have been having surplus budgets since 1991 the time of MMD?
She was a Finance minister, why didn’t she clear the backlog of pensioner benefits? I don’t see any crisis in having more poultry farmers producing more birds and keeping the price down! Has she forgotten basics of economics, food production should be encouraged irrespective of the race of the farmer, Nawakwi has just exposed her xenophobia . How many Diabetic people are registered at Nakonde rural heath, insulin is a controlled drug and I doubt if Nakonde has the highest number.

Nawakwi and HH played a major row in the unemployment saga, they should not portray themselves to be saviours and Mr and Mrs know it all when it comes to job creation because they failed pathetically at privatisation. People are getting their benefits after 20 years after their companies were liquidated by Nawakwi and her MMD clique and now she is talking as if she left the ministry with zero benefit arrears owing to retires. If a farmer prefers to butter his produce for fritters that’s his loss, there are markets where he can sell his maize for cash, it is free market Nawakwi should know!

The problem with opposition in Zambia is that they treat politics like lotto. Nawakwi instead of coming up with a formidable position on national issues, she would rather play to the gallery than addressing real issues. This approach by opposition of the status of Nawakwi (Former finance minister) can not make a difference to the common person in the ground. Let the opposition come up with real options for the people, then we know as a nation we are moving forward otherwise the common person will remain suffering.
