Finance Minister Alexander Chikwanda is tomorrow expected in Mongu district, Western Province to officially open Investrust Bank Plc.
Mr Chikwanda is expected to arrive at Mongu airport at 08:30 hrs on Friday.
The minister will first pay a courtesy call on his royal highness the Litunga Lubosi Imwiko II at Lealui Royal Palace upon arrival.
He is also expected to tour some developmental projects in the Province such as the Mabumbu Cashew Plantation and inspect winter crops grown in the Barotse plains.
ZANIS Business reports that this is contained in a statement given to ZANIS by Western Province Permanent Secretary Emmanuel Mwamba.
Mr Chikwanda will be in the Province for a one day visit.
Meanwhile Invest Trust plc Managing Director Friday Ndlovu has described the province as potential in terms of business.
Mr Ndlovu said the bank will be extended to other provinces in the country and called for support in reaching out to the other areas.
He was speaking this afternoon when he paid a courtesy call on Western Province permanent Secretary Emmanuel Mwamba.
And Mr Mwamba commended Invest Trust PLC for bringing development in the province, citing that Western Province is under banked.
The PS added that Western Province has been ranked as the poorest province in the country, adding that the modernised bank will change the picture of the province.
Mr Mwamba said the opening of the bank is a clear indication that Invest Trust supports what government is doing in developing the province.
The PS further added that western Province is also entitled to equal measures and shares just like other provinces in the country.

Investtrust Bank must do something about their Chilenje Kangwa ATM cash dispensing machine. 3 months ago I used my VISA Standard chartered Bank ATM card on that particular cash point,the machine never dispensed the cash (K400) though I was debited.
I went to investrust HQ and I was told to follow it up with my Bank which in turn told me they would follow it up with VISA services in Nairobi. To date I have not been refunded my money!
Its well and good to open new branches all over, but if you don’t look after services that are current, then you are losing it. Investrust must refund me my money!
