Vice President Guy Scott says President Michael Sata’s absence from the country is nobody’s business.

Responding to a question by Bwacha Member of Parliament Sydney Mushanga who asked him to inform the nation where the president is and when he is coming back to Zambia, Dr Scott said President Sata is in communication with government officials.

Dr Scott said President Sata managed to call him and is in touch with everything that is going on back home.

He added that it is not anyone’s business to live in the president’s pocket.

President Sata was recently in New York where he went to attend the United Nations General assembly which he addressed but did not return to Zambia thereafter. His whereabouts are unknown to the country.

    • IMPEACHMENT! I’m sure the Bashilubemba will support this including Western province,Northern Province,NWestern, Eastern and Southern and a portion of copperbelt and Lusaka will support.

    • Ba PF nabakalipa, even Guy Scott has started being so arrogant and belittling MPs? We thought he was more closer to Zambians than Kabimba?

    • Government has wondered why people in Sioma district in Western Province were starving when the Food reserve Agency (FRA) had 25,176 X 50 bags of maize stored at Nangweshi shed.

This was discovered by Provincial Minister, Josephine Limata during her three days tour of Sioma and Shangombo districts recently.

Ms Limata was dismayed to find huge stacks of maize amidst alarming levels of hunger in the district.

And in response, Sioma District Commissioner, Mubiana Mutomena, explained that currently a 50Kg bag of white maize was selling at K80 while a 25kg bag of Millie Meal costs K150.00 each, a price he said many people could not afford. / ZANIS

    • MA RUBBISH SCOTT UP TO NOW U DONT KNOW THAT SATA IS USING MY MONEY ON A TRIP HE DID NOT TELL ME AS A TAXPAYER.WHAT A PAINFUL ANSWER ISSUE

  1. PF is really taking Zambians for a ride.We didn’t elect a King this isn’t a monarch ,we elected a president who is answerable to the people.Democracy is government for the people by the people.IMPEACH the president and this ceremonial VICE and the ministers who are busy holidaying instead of working.Lawyers help us here! Whose money is Sata using that he should look at Zambians with impunity. If Zambians took out the mighty Kenneth Kaunda what is Sata?

  2. President Sata is a president for the country and people must know his whereabouts, he is not just Sata and PF or Sata and family, its not something people must fear to know where the president is. its unfortunately no one from the government has bothered to explain this to the people of Zambia.

  3. This is the arrogance we all talk about. Is the Vice President’s statement his honest belief or is he politiking because he has nothing better to say? Even in his native Britain, the MP’s cry out when Cameron is out on holiday when they expect him to be in the House of Parliament at the dispatch box. This attitude of letting the president off when he breeches his responsibilities just emboldens him to think he is not answerable to anyone. There are laws and rules for everything and the president is also subject to these laws. You just have to look at other democracies where when their president is even out on holiday, that will be communicated to the nation. Not in Zambia. And the VP doesnt see anything wrong with having a missing President.

  4. Welcome back his excellency. While away, the following occurred:

    – Wynter called the PF as a tribal grouping, that included you Mr. President
    – Wynter, as though he’s got any power threaten to close the Daily Mail
    – Wynter called the people who voted for you and chanted Donchi Kubeba, street kids
    – Wynter said no one can force him to resign
    – Wynter met DC’s from Northwestern, Western and Southern Provinces with a view to intimidate them. This project he of course failed.
    – Wynter has now taken him fight to Mwamba, continually behaving like a rabid dog.

I am eagerly waiting on you to come and formally replace Wynter Kabimba with Given Lubinda.

    • Given “the traitor” Lubinda….no ways!!! Rubbish, the man has no balls he was eating his own vomit the other day.

  5. sata is attending medical check ups, Zambians r primitive u r third world for THIS REASON and cant handle certain information that’s why its secret only that gov’t can’t manage certain issues..

    • @bryson

It seems it is actually you who is primitive. Being in a western country like the US does not make one modern in their thinking. Being primitive stems from ignorance and lack of understanding of how to do things better than in the past. Its the inability to adapt to change fast enough. So people like you do not want accept the fact that most Zambians now understand that a public figure they elected is supposed to be accountable for his movement because he is not spending his personal money but tax payers’ income.

It helps to be thoughtful before you write such disgraceful comments about a nation beginning to embrace democratic principles. Only useful id1ots praise their masters even for wrong reasons.

    • Wrong language sir, madam or whatever you are. Just make your point, but do not insult. Dr. Scott is Republican VP, and as such he deserves some respect!

    • He does not deserve some respect he needs to earn it, period. People like him can not do politics in his native country. Here in the UK he would classified as a nut case straight away.

    • St Jude:::… Stupid is not an insult. Definitions of stupid

: not intelligent : having or showing a lack of ability to learn and understand things

      : not sensible or logical

: not able to think normally because you are drunk, tired, etc.

    • If he ever responded this way, it would be the end of his political career in the UK. I actually think he should apologise for insulting people’s intelligence.

I guess he is just as frustrated as the rest of the country.

    • St Jude, if you’re close to him, tell him that intelligent Zambians agree with the person who said Guy S nimuzungu opusa…ni opusadi kwabili baba. Nisilu yetaba kuChainama. Or if he wants an outside psychiatric hospital, he can try Maudsley Hospital, South London…cimuzungu chopusa cikuluchonse mwati.

    • Not sure if Guy Scot is a stupid white man….. but there is no question about his response to the Ho. MP’s question on the where – about of the President – that response is not only stupid but very very stupid ! its every Zambian’s business to know where the president is …..

  6. This Man is being eaten up by Old age hey! he is loosing it every time he opens his mouth, but any way, this is as a result of frustration. Has he forgotten His Excellency the Republican President of Zambia is not a private individual but a public figure, and i see nothing wrong with his people, the ones he leads to know where he is, especially when there is havoc in his country and his party to be specific. Please, our VC, come back to reality you have always been, Wynter and Mmbe will just increase your frustration.

  7. Let him run away from the confussion he created in the country. Let him come back and owner up. The Shilubemba. The Barotse. The nurses. The councils. The teachers. The farmers. The retireess. They all want Sata dead or alive.

  8. Iye, kono this is the peak of arrogance! Can someone train me to be a witch if witchcraft does exist? I would like to use it straighten things not to kill my relatives

  9. In the west, they would call Scott a WHITE THRASH. He indeed is! Wont it be your business to know why your father didnt come back home last night?

  10. dull white chap! we need to were this old cabbage is, coz he is using tax payers’ money. therefore we have to be aware every time he is out. who knows, maybe hez rooting our money…………………..pathetic foolish fools………….

  11. Hes attending Prostate Cancer Clinic at
    32 Wimpole Street
    London
    W1G 8GT
    0044 2079359720
Doctors in Zambia Sata alimisula thru dat wife of his Kaseba

    • Sata fought so hard to give up his freedom to live anonymity like me; so he better let us where he is going unless he is using his personal cash which he’s not doing. HE’S ACCOUNTABLE FOR USING TAXPAYERS CASH, HE OWES US A POLITE EXPLANATION, SO YOUR OPUSA VEEP SHOULD ACT PROPERLY

  12. Scott go back home. You are messing our democracy. What cannot happen in UK you are practising in Zambia. We are no longer in colonialism for God’s sake.

    • Monze. The Movement for Independence was not to fight a white man. it was the system. what has happened to Monze? you guys are so bitter such that even the well meaning H.H will not be understood because of you guys who will insult anything as long as it is not grown in Monze. When people start talking right, that is when we shall start voting for every body. and not now when Monze is still talking.

  13. What is this man saying. WTF i cant believe what am reading, nobody’s business, honestly?? Very foolish statement indeed!

  14. What is this man saying. WTF i cant believe what am reading, nobody’s business, honestly?? Very f00lish statement indeed!

  15. Some one once said he is the most stupid white man,I disagreed with that statement then, now I agree to that

  16. We fear Guy Scott has gone insane. He must be told that in a civilized state – including his UK, the welfare of a President or executive Prime Minister is the concern of all its inherent citizens. Since President Sata’s welfare, in good health and sickness, is being funded by the tax payers. Even after the death of a President, his spouses will be taken care-of by the State using tax payers’ money.

Guy Scott must not take Zambians for a joy ride. Someone in Guy Scott’s family must advise him to SHUT UP his dirty white mouth.

    • Guy Scott, to have answered the way he did, he might have noted the tone in the voice of a person who posed the question. Some people think that when some one is old then he will die tomorrow. not a tall. How sata die when your grand father who drinks Kachasu is not dead.

  17. Guy Scott must not take Zambians for a joy ride. We fear this man has gone insane. He must be told that in a civilized state – including his own UK, the welfare of a President or executive Prime Minister is the concern of all its inherent citizens.

Since President Sata’s welfare, in good health or sickness, is being funded by the tax payers, citizens have a constitutional right to probe his whereabouts. Even after the death of a President, his spouses will be taken care-of by the State using tax payers’ money.

A concerned member of Guy Scott’s family must advise him to SHUT UP his dirty white mouth.

  18. what a nonsensical response from the most…….white man in zambia.sata is everybody’s business as republican president.

  19. Guy Scott, you can be rest assured that I would not like to live in the Presidents pocket. Mainly because i do not know what he carries in those bulging pockets of his. Does anyone have a clue what makes Sata’s pockets bulge?

  20. Sata is a public figure and occupies a public office to work for the voters. He is therefore everyone’s business coz we have a right to know.

  21. Zambians are are really taken for f00ls, how cantheir elected president’s abscence be none of their business?

  22. UNBELIEVABLE! Absolutely shocking this is coming from the Vice President & made in parliament as Governments official position on Sata’s AWOL.
Zambians, why do we tolerate such governance, worse ever since independence……….. I need a glass of water to cool me down #

  23. Dr. Scott, where the president goes and what he does IS the business of all Zambians because he is using their hard earned money. Your response was utterly irresponsible and arrogant.
The country is currently undergoing several challenges (including one spearheaded by yourself and Kabimba). And you have the audacity to say that Sata called you and is aware aware of what is going on…
That is not good enough. The president needs to be in Zambia to deal with the health workers’ grievances and the ugly tribalism label that has been appended to his PF party, and not forgetting that he needs to come and sort you and Kabimba out.

other presidents would have cut their trips abroad short to rush back home to deal with lesser issues than those Zambia is facing.

  24. Its hard to believe these retards. Why say his absence is non of our business!!Its clearly our business to know what going on.He is the only President of Zambia who just disappears from the radar of the people. These were wasted votes.GOD BLESS ZAMBIA.

  25. It is the business of every Zambians because he is in London spending tax payers money over a medical condition that can be managed locally . If he did have the political will to solve the many problems our health institutions are facing, he shouldn’t be going to London.

  26. If it is not our(zambians) business whose is it?We are equally not interested in an employee if he is not interested in the employer. We assume that, whatever happens it will be the business of Dr Kaseba and the PF.It is your business and not ours.Nga fyakosa do not inform us ,we are not interested in those that are not interested in us.

  27. King cobra, rule them the way u feel after all no one is above u.they lyk talking too much but they are docile.don,t succumb to do what they want and it,s a known fact that no coup can succeed in zambia so abolish the muilty party system and rule till u die.nothing can happen sir prove me if anything.

  28. What a way of responding he is public property if I may put it that way Mr VEEP atase….we have every right to know and i support all bloggers wiht same sentiments ala…mwacha bane

  29. What a way of responding he is public property if I may put it that way Mr VEEP atase….we have every right to know and i support all bloggers with same sentiments ala…mwacha bane

  30. i noted increased traffic police presence on lusaka roads at 12hrs, as well as bus loads of cadres heading east. i guess they were going to the airport to wellcome the president. he must be in by now

  31. Guy Scott has no respect for any Zambians,he still sees Zambians as slaves na Sata wine he has no respect for him hence d arrongance.
He only respects Meembe and Winter that’s y hes on their side not the likes of GBM and Willie Nsanda .He says they ve no brains at all ,dunder heads

  32. Now I understand why Haleisa Haleisa meant when he said Guy Scott was the most stupid whiteman he had ever come across. It is this lack of tact. Phoolish white nut.

  33. Imwe ba Kai Shikoti dont be so rude. Its our business we voted him into power so we can monitor his leadership his movements too. How does he just do a disappearing act like that? What kind of a President hides from his electorate?

  34. The ceremonial President has no clue as to who is the real employer of Sata. While we appreciate that Guy Scott’s immediate employer is SATA he should understand that indirectly by employing SATA the Nation or the tax payers have indirectly appointed him. Therefore the Veep should not behave so rudely to a noble question. Even the respectable US president tells his nation where he is going and when he will return. If he (Guy Scott) thinks that Zambians do not need to know where their Top leader is then he should try the same behaviour in Scotland.

  35. How long, Lord, must I call for help,
    but you do not listen?
Or cry out to you, “Violence!”
    but you do not save?
Why do you make me look at injustice?
    Why do you tolerate wrongdoing?
    Destruction and violence are before me;
there is strife, and conflict abounds.
    Therefore the law is paralyzed,
    and justice never prevails.
The wicked hem in the righteous,
    so that justice is perverted.
This is from Habbakuk 1. Yet its so true of Zambia right now.

  36. imweee!!the guy who raised this issue in parliament is PF mp for bwacha,is he going to survive the wrath of the cadres worse they dont even want him and they roughed him before.
    kaya mwandi tizamvelako

  37. My Vice President, are you telling me that even when Sata travels at tax payers expense, we should not know? Do remember how Sata used to put pressure on Levy about what we are saying today?

  38. What if after the President finished his presidential duty he decided to have some space and time to rest using his own money. we dont need to know that every person deserves some privacy, he needs it too… Again the above article does not show quotation marks, so we dont really have VP Guy Scott’s actual words. The author might not have portrayed the actual message intended by the Veep.

  39. I really find Scott comments very insulting to zambians. This demented man must be retired from politics and probed for abuse of office. His mouth is loose and am sure he says a lot of crap about the country when he is abroad. I don’t see patriotism is this retard. Plz get rid of him…..

  40. VP WHY ANSWERING AS IF YOUR HEAD IS NOT CONNECTED TO YOUR BRAIN. WE EXPECTED YOU TO BE MORE WISE IN YOUR ANSWERING. ANSWER LIKE A FATHER OF THIS NATION NOT LIKE A KID.

  41. Wrong answer. What has come up mr VP? Last time in Mansa, you said something else when the people were singing songs you did not like. We can now agree with HH about you.

  42. The young man from the British Queen has come to apparently inform Dr. Scott that because of the pigs that you slaughtered, and the amount of effort that you are making in confusing PF government much more than you failed to do in MMD, you will be knighted this fall. You shall thereafter be called SIR SCOTT. In preamble, we all say, well done. Muzungu.

  43. lol. You won’t get any stupid than saying such. Something is very wrong with him. He still doesn’t understand what public office stands for. He needs some check ups too
