THE Bemba Traditional Council (BTC) has pressed ahead with it preparations for the coronation of Henry Kanyanta Sosala as paramount chief Chitimukulu setting November 15 for the event.

The BTC said Archbishop of Kasama Ignatius Chama had been invited as the guest of honour at the event at which the Bashilubemba whom make up the electoral and act as counsellors are expected to perform rituals which will allow Mr Sosala to move to the palace.

This is despite Minister of Chiefs and Traditional Affairs Nkandu Luo being quoted in the Press as saying Government had not gazzetted Mr Sosala as chief.

Sources from the within the BTC said invitations had however, been extended to provincial administration and the Ministry of Chiefs.

“We have sent invitations to members of the royal family and a free pass to all subjects wishing to attend. Government has also been invited It’s up to them to decide whether they will join us or not. It is is like a wedding invitation. One can choose to either attend or stay away.”

All chiefs and their subjects from various district such as Mporokoso and Luwingu have since begun preparing for the installation ceremony which will end on the morning of November 16.

    • Your friends in the Middle East still use their words for their organizations. You still try to spin things in English and end up with things that don’t sound right! Just use a Bemba word for the so-called BRE/BTC … For all I care there is no such thing in the real sense – treaties were signed largely with whomever showed the maleability to pander to the colonialists.

    • @ Gen.
Mwacilabako ati…..shimupinga nsofu ba Ngoshe ni ng’ana, shimukokota nsono, imibanga mise( ifisaali), Wewunina icimuti namaboko muma tumba.

    • Nubian princess life does not stop just because something terrible is happening somewhere. That issue has nothing to do with the coronation of Chitimukulu. Let the Bemba people go ahead and crown their paramount chief.

    • @Gen….Chitimukulu uulisha umunsoli no mukoyo mukanwa……ki ki ki …. whistling whilst imbibing some drink (munkoyo)…only a fit befitting ba Chitumukulu….ki ki ki….Bemba, Bravo. Ba Shilubemba….bravo. I did attend Scout in those days and we should to sing this tune…Bravo…bravo… bravo…bravism……..bravo… bravism…….. bravo…bravism…..!!!!
      Bravo Mwine Lubemba…….

    • @Kay we shall start from Sata himself, no one plays with Chitimukulu. Sata will fail one day and look like an idiot in the end. For him everything is politics, let him leave traditional issues.

  1. May the government leaders humble themselves and let the process be smooth. I wish for reconciliation by both parties and if any is not happy let the courts help.

  2. Bashi Lubemba, thanks, go ahead, do not be afraid of the stupid punks. We have a 500+ year rich tradition to safe guard. The stupid idiots (bachitongo) won’t last forever, but you will be there. We are behind you.

  3. “Prof” Nkandu Luo must realise that her Ministerial position is very ephemeral. The potential breakup and demise of PF will spell the end of her disastrous political career. The recent events that led to the hacking to death of a PF cadre spells doom for Sata in Bembaland.

  4. Abena Ng’andu -the crocodile clan:
” Tuli Bashamfumu, Mwina Ng’andu iyamina akabwe pebwe; tuli baku Kola Kasongo wa nyembo; tuli baku Kola kwa Matiyamfwa”

    • And MAKE sure you vote for the Opposition MP in the upcoming Mansa central bye-elections. This is will be one way of telling Sata to stop meddling in the affairs of Bashilubemba.

  5. To perform rituals, imwe wantu this is part of the process italked about. After that bukala sheta namenshi.
Elyo bukapala no mwana pantu umwana ni kasembe kalakoma wabula wakobeka.

  6. What a week it has been, first it was Kumar’s defiance at the KCM now it’s the bemba chiefs’ defiance. We have told you over and over again that in a democracy you do not govern by threats and decrees. Sata and his PF are now as good as finished.

  7. Sata will go down into the Worlds Guinness Book of Records as a Head of State who screwed up all power bases such a position needs to remain popular and vibrant. Relationship with cadres poor.
    relationship with traditional rulers poor.
    Investor confidence poor.
    Planning and forward thinking poor.
Relationship with other Heads of State in the region poor.
Ability to unite different tribes as one entity poor.
    International diplomacy poor.
Leadership qualities particularly to lead and mentor his minsters poor.
    Presidential Charisma poor.
Ability to sense when to shut up and sit down poor.

  8. Wonderful, those who choose to attend can attend. This business is only for the Bembas, but other tribes such as the Bisa, Chewa, Ngoni, Lozis, Tonga’s Mambwes, Lungu’s, Namwanga etc are welcome. These are the tradional roots of our colleagues we do not want the soup spoilers there period.

  9. if i were an opposition leader, i would organise buck and transport all major chiefs from each province to attend this installation.

  10. Please government stop poking your filth fingers in traditional issues so that you reserve the little respect you have remained with.

  11. Fwe ba Bemba nko nko – fwe bena ngwena – Bashi lubemba bala tuletela Chitimukulu – natu sefye Chitimukulu wesu!!!

    Aba shile fwaya, ba talukeko!!

  12. We salute bashilubemba, aluta continua.

    Pledge from the Tongas:
    1. Deposit of upkeep money for Mwine Lubemba
    2. Donation of at least 250 heifers, 20 steers (oxen) and 8 bulls for Mwine Lubemba.

I request either Father Bwalya or ba Dr Mumba to collect these donations. HH should not be in forefront to avoid this gesture being politicised. However, he can donate some cattle on top of the 278 but without any funfare.

Our brothers and sister in Lubemba, we are one!! Let us refuse to be divided by the Kaunda and PF.

  13. You made some decent points there. I looked on the web for additional information about the issue and found
most individuals will go along with your views on this web site.
