Vice President Guy Scott has said that former Zambia Railways limited (ZRL) Chief Executive officer Professor Clive Chirwa should stop making silly public pronouncements about his passport.

Dr. Scott has told Qfm News in an interview that government will not lose anything even if Professor Chirwa goes ahead and renounces his citizenship.

Dr. Scot said that he does not know what Professor Chirwa is trying to achieve by renouncing his Zambian citizenship when there are many other people fighting to have Zambian citizenship.

Last week, Professor Clive Chirwa threatened to denounce his Zambian citizenship if his passport is not given back to him within 24 hours to enable him travel to see his family and attend the funeral of former South African president Nelson Mandela.

Prof Chirwa told QFM News in a walk-in interview that he has not seen his family for a year now, owing to what he has described as imprisonment for the sacrifice he made to come and serve the Zambian people.

He has pleaded for his passport to be released so that he can travel to visit his family, his hero Nelson Mandela and all the democrats.

Professor Chirwa said he has done nothing wrong to Zambia, as he is a clean man of dignified stance who only came to help.

He said Zambia has never appreciated his contribution, hence the request to be allowed to go and enjoy the freedom he had before he answered the call from President Sata to come and help the country.

    • Uncomfortable when I see another black woman with a white man, albeit married, it just leaves a bad taste in my mouth. I thought I am the only fortuitous person to be marrying a white person

Well I disagree that government will lose, nothing, a professor brings a lot of intangible and to think like that for instance is to suggest that if i left zambia for the UK permanently then Zambia wont lose sweat mmmh.

I dont think so, not with so much education like Prof Chirwa

      Thanks

    • @Nostradamus
ati lozi woman…kekekekekek,, you just have a thing for lozi women

Mwati did disciple kabimba see that photo??,, that was too close for confort

  1. I wonder how Charlotte will react when she sees this photo. Greeting my foot! Anyway, I don’t know what I would do to my husband if I saw something like that.

  2. under what tradition do they allow to great like that? Azatobeka mambala uyu ngati asobela…………..akazifunsa first

  3. Chi Guy, is a mambala, just checkout the proximity and defiant fimofimo lookie….Anyways really, Chirwa has not contributed anything that has changed Zambia and in any case we cant worship him…So please pissy Prof…

  4. Guys guys guys!hold your fire!Guy Scott was hunging Silvia the picture was taken when Guy was about to cross his head to Silvia’s ear but from the side view it looks like he aimed the face.Remember we don’t whisper to the face but to the ear

  5. Scott, how many people specifically are applying to become Zambians when you and your comrades are pocketing all the money and taking Zambia 50 years backwards?

  6. people u are really backwards. a greeting becomes an issue? guess u are have dirty minds. be schooled. even a certificate can make a difference

    • We are cultured peopIe and no certificate will change this. At the expense of your own manners, you struggle to learn white manners and you call that as being schooled. Chopeti!

    • be tolerant people and accommodating. that’s what education teaches. Scot is not zambian and that’s how they greet in his home land. mrs scot is not as backwards as u are. she wont raise an eyebrow. nomba imwe. maybe u have even started masturbating. especially chi st Judy

    • Silozi, we don`t do such in public in our tradition, if you call that English manners then i suggest you go for a medical check up because something is seriously wrong with you and scott. Want we have in the pic is two immoral i.d.i.o.t.s caught with their pants down. Thank you.

    • U are too critical. probably U are as bitter as your president HH. honestly how do u judge though a still picture? do u think those adults who are learned and are supposed to show diplomatic etiquette would ever kiss in a cabinet meeting? not even in Satan’s presence. learn to criticize were necessary and just because u don’t support the party they belong to and everything they do is wrong. don let that hate chock you

  7. False misrepresentation. The two where capture in the process of a chick-to-chick greeting, which is not uncommon in Zambia today.LT,what has the picture got to do with your headline? From the posts so far,you have rendered this thread useless.
Misrepresenting news only makes your blog lose credibility to more serious audience

  8. kanshi ba silvia tabaishiba kukissa…kuti wakissa shani namenso wide open nachi smile ifyo so..ka scott your mischievious bally!!!!

  9. Mushota! why that type of comment let the so called proffesa go truely zambia will loose nothing. At zambians have never apreciated my coming to zambia to sacrifice, sacrifice what! he should thank zambia for being born in zambia and using the zambian resources in his early education freely that comrade KK offered. he was being paid for expensive accomodation and other allowances let those with limited papers work in zambia rather than a misplaced dogshchirwa.

  10. LT LT, is that picture real? Awe kwena na Scot lelo alepuma umulume….hey this guys mabe kissed ati na mwah .mwah.

Chilwa just denounce and go, why wasting time?

Peace and Prosperity to mother Zambia.

  11. what chirwa simply means is that it has been long since he slept with his wife. Pliz allow him to go and see her. for threatening to renounce, let him go ahead and see where he will be burried after his death.
for the file picture above all i can say is that chimasebo kwena chisuma i wish i could be given her number so that i also dig in.

    • Chirwa’s wife should apply for a visa and come and see her hubsband one would think she would have been in the forefront to fight for her husbands rights but then again maybe the clavel limited matter stinks and her setting foot here might turn out her worst nightmare….she must miss the trips to Michealangelo first class and staying at Fallsway…sole mulamu it happens…if Chirwa kept quiet am sure a nolle would have followed…but the noise is irritating to the ears and board members cannot wait…

  12. No relationship between the story and the picture. What message is the picture in the story giving to a man ie.Professor Chirwa that hasn`t seen his family for a year?

  13. Scott, how come you can not be the second in command when the president is not in the country? You secretly maintain your dual nationality but feel qualified to comment on technicalities of others? Wait and see where Scott will run to when his time of reckoning with the authorities will come. The colonial mentality will never leave this man. Let right be done, you are the architect of one of the worst governments in the history of Africa.

  14. So many comments but find out how many are talking about the subject matter. I also join in talking about talks, all irrelevant to the subject of discussion. This how we fail to tackle real issues at hand but like to catch smoke instead of collecting the fire the we need!

  15. Scott is only appreciated by Sata who has colonial mentality. Zambians will loss proper development with the loss of Chirwa and others. Scott will not be part of us regardless how he tries to be close. We are aware that he is part of the Mmembe’s but time will tell. Who could image Zuma being booed at home in front of 90 heads of state.

  16. I thought the whole point of this article was to discuss the professor and yet people seem to be rather side tracked! If this guy wants to leave let him already, his been making so much noise as to what he can do in Zambia. For all his education @ Mushota he clearly lacks common sense. Besides if that is what the diaspora are producing then please they can stay wherever it is they are. I don’t think he made this much noise wherever he was, the post got to his head and he now feels he can go toe-toe with the government. Don’t bite the hand that feeds you is a phrase that comes to mind.

Also can we move on already, i think the country has more pressing issues than this dude!

  17. Prof chirwa utterances leave much to be desired, but we need him as a country. I can give many reasons but ill restrict myself to one very simple one.
The reason is because international money lenders can not entrust us with a lot of money for big projects like building a power station by our own home grown Engineers. They will instead ask us to float the tender internationally and hence making us compete with already established foreign companies. This means we will forever poor. Given the challenge, I am positive our Engineers can rise to the occasion.

  18. In the USA they will do anything even to bring back the body to be buried in the US! Losing even one citizen by renouncing his/ her citizenship as a protest against a corrupt government is lackadaisical!

  19. Chirwa and any other innovators intending to help zambia should learn something from this episode which is that NEVER GIVE WHAT IS SACRED TO A PIG.

  20. Professor continue singing praise about PF. You remember what you said when leaving UPND. You left fellow intellectuals and joined Kaponyas. That is the benefit. there is no short cut to riches.
I’m personally enjoying your drama as you perform on stage

  21. PRACTICALLY PROF CHIRWA HAS NOT BEEN IN ZAMBIA. INFACT IT IS ONLY HIS NRC OR PASSPORT THAT SHOW THAT HE IS ZAMBIAN. BUT PRACTICALLY THE MAN HAS BEEN LIVING ABROAD FOR MANY DECADES. A MERE CHANGE IN HIS PASSPORT FROM “ZAMBIAN” TO “BRITISH” OR “AMERICAN” WILL NOT CHANGE ANYTHING. THUS ZAMBA WILL SURELY NOT LOSE ANYTHING. THE MAN IS ALREADY A FOREIGNER IN HIS OWN COUNTRY.

  22. Don’t posses a corrupt mind towards nothing. don’t you all these are gossips to bring about distraction to focus on future life of our country. Thank you my fellow citizens
