PF in Eastern Province suspends two members for gross indiscipline

CHIPATA Patriotic Front (PF) Central Constituency chairperson, John Mkhazika has suspended two officials for gross indiscipline.

According to the suspension letters dated January 1st 2014 and signed by Mr Mkhazika, indicated that Chairlady Ruth Chimba and Treasurer Menyani Sakala have been suspended for among other things, rising against the vice chairperson at a meeting which failed to take place and inviting suspended members to attend the meeting.

The letter also indicates that the two have been suspended for inciting members not to recognize Eastern Province PF Chairperson, Lameck Mangani, despite being shown his appointment letter from President, Michael Sata.

But when reached for a comment, the two suspended PF executive members have refused to recognise their suspension.

Ms Chimba and Mr Sakala, have both described their suspensions as illegal, stating that party procedure was not followed.

Ms Chimba said that there was nothing wrong with her raising questions to seek clarification of certain party matters during a meeting.

She said that the PF constitution also provides for the person facing any disciplinary action, a chance to explain his or her side of the story, which the constituency leadership did not do.

And Mr Sakala said that he has been suspended for escorting a business person, Moses Mawere to donate items to help the poor.

He wondered why the constituency committee would be offended by such a gesture, when the PF has been saying it was for a pro-poor.

  1. What ideology exactly does PF stand for? It looks like its all about bootlicking Sata and his irrational knee jerk ideals.I can’t wait to see hwta happens to PF after Sata goes.

  2. We want our man for kasenengwa constituency who was supposed to stand on PF ticket in 2011 and he has been doing well so far to keep the contintuency together no new comers Mr Mangani. Let him be given this time around. We hear somebody from MMD ( G. Zulu wants to bring confusion ) in the constintuency by giving out money which is not allowed in PF. Let him continue and we the contintuency will show him the way out. Let us remain united this time around. We want to give the president our choice of MP . Watch this space.

  4. Eastern province stability will only come when the PF begin to have MPs in the area. it is very difficulty to run a party in a region where u have almost none of the MPs. In 2016 let the PF do things differently and adopt people with high chances of claiming victory. Young people like Moses Mawere who are very consistent with good works and always interacting with the grassroots must be give chance.

    • yes well said. l can even say charles banda for kasenengwa as he has done very well too. That Zulu is not trusted. Why coming at the last minute and bring confusion in the constituency. Poeple these are some who bring the name of the part down. Let him go back to MMD where he belongs. No Foreigners this time around. Charles Banda come and save us here in Kasenengwa. We await your arrival from chiwoko to chiparamba, Mboza to Makungwa, Chingazi to Kwenge up to N”gongwe. You made all these structures for the past 10 years. You need the reward this time around.
