ABZ President Fr Frank Bwalya flashes a red card against the PF government

Alliance for Better Zambia (ABZ) president Frank Bwalya has apologized to the Zambian people for having campaigned for President Michael Sata in the run up to the 2011 general elections.

Fr. Bwalya said by campaigning for President Sata he genuinely believed that he was going to make a good leader.

He said as way of making up for campaigning for President Sata, he will do everything possible to make sure that the PF government is removed.

[pullquote]Zambia is an impending governance catastrophe under the leadership of ruling PF[/pullquote]

Fr Bwalya said Zambia is an impending governance catastrophe under the leadership of ruling PF, and that if Zambians do not unite to remove the PF government, everything that the nation has achieved in terms of good governance and rule of law will go down the drain.

The ABZ president said he feels the PF government has betrayed him as well as the Zambian people that voted for them to come into power.

He told Qfm News in a telephone interview that the PF government has proved to the Zambian people that they cannot be trusted.

And Fr Bwalya said the PF should keep its promise to deliver a people driven constitution especially that the Zambian people have been patient enough.

    • iweee fake priest you also can’t be trusted after mashrooming alot of money ku zesco olo lelo wise ati 4give me zambians. useless politicians. in fact all politicians can’t be trusted

    • Bwalya you should be frank with your confessions. you supported sata not because of the substance he posses upstairs but because of tribe. how many guffs did chanda chimba iii expose about sata and you ignored them just to suite your agenda? its a shame. pick leaders based on merit and not tribe because even his tribesmate are suffering just like anybody else

    • Quote of the Year 2014:

“Zambia is an impending governance catastrophe under the leadership of PF”, Fr Frank Bwalya

      Iti izi turue!

    • Father Bwalya no need to apologize , MMD had to go and we all knew Mr Sata was a bad person, but i think even the devil is surprised how he as turn out.

    • Father Bwalya.. appology accepted!!! bemba-tonga revolution is coming coming coming,,like it or not…
chitimukulu sosala will be offered aslyum in choma if expelled by Sata in kasama, he will only go back to kasama after 2016 elections!!!!

    • In my view I think he is principled enough. He showed it by leaving a chairmanship position at Zesco, where he was getting monthly allowance of K35,000 with Prado car. It was easy for him to continue working with PF and stealing with them rather than fighting the govt of the day and getting imprisoned each time he open the month. if you cant call that being principled, then I dont know.

  1. Thanks Fr Bwalya we tried to plead with you guys that you were misguided but we were ignored.Any level headed person could see all of Sata’s red flags.

  2. That’ s always the case when people fail to scrutinise the type of person they would like to put into leadership of the country. Former and Late President Frederick Chiluba was a master dribbler and Michael Sata is worse than Chiluba. How many among the millions of promises he used to give to the Zambians during the run up to the 2011 elections has he fullfilled ? This time around, only those whose heads are full of nothing but maggots can still give support to this tyranny whose direction he would like to drive the country to is not clear.

  3. Explain to us what you are going to do to help remove the PF government not shooting in the air coz u will end up shooting yourself in the foot.

  4. The greatest error is not in making one, but refusing to be corrected when you have made one, I must say hats off to Fr Bwalya for showing great character and realizing his mistake, he will go down in history as one of the most principled men to grace Zambia’s political arena.

    • #Chinyama, I personally think he is principled enough.

    • @hamuntu… Bwalya is so self centred and often overrates himself a zesco board chairman who couldn’t lead, he felt out of place with Technocrates,no radio Mano interviews and the usual drama he’s used to, so back to where noise makers (empty tins) belong ,outside…

  5. This is what makes Frank Bwalya a very bad or immature leader who can not be trusted to make a good judgement call because where the majority of voters saw a bad leader, frank and pf saw a messiah in Sata. Hakainde on the other hand saw the red flags in the defunked UPND – PF Pact. He told the nation that PF and sata had no National Development Plan and that they were actually CNP (Hynas without a plan other than to plunder). As such he pulled out of the PACT. We need HH’s type of leadership with foresight, not populists but people with visions. He has always told us that PF dont have it in them to govern and PF cadres have called him bitter, but now all he has been saying to us is here for all to see. Zambians we can do better in 2016. A credible insightful leader in HH!!!

    • HH quickly rushed to form a PACT with MMD to defeat PF so whatever your reasoning as regards PACTS is hopeless , say or write something else….HH just failed to lead the PACT period…I don’t support PF but that’s a fact…

  6. If this fool was given a full ministerial position do you think he will be appologizing now? He can’t tell me that he didn’t know Sata’s nature when he was busy campaigning for him and beheading chickens on stage. Fusek

  7. Bene Gaza is just another pumbafu as my good friend kangwa used to call shrewd characters. Let this pumbafu stop wasting our time and just campaign quietly. We shall vote n choose on our own.

  8. Fr. Bwalya’s judgment leaves a lot to be desired. Any sane Zambian knew what kind of leader Sata would make…… Because he has no presidential qualities whatsoever. And yet Father Bwalya compained so heavily for Sata I don’t what he thought he was going to gain, a scholarship paid for by Zambian tax payers to live large in another country? Personally I can not vote for father Bwalya because he just doesn’t get it.

    • Time comes when the electorate are fed up with any government especially when the party in power becomes corrupt and toothless. After 27 years of KK’s rule we became tired because UNIP became arrogant and uncaring. Anyone in opposition at that time would have won the elections because we wanted UNIP out, and that is how MMD came in as “messiahs.” 20 yrs in the line MMD became more corrupt and useless due to poor leadership so much that they reminded us of UNIP, the same trend came back we wanted them out because they disappointed the electorates. Many people including myself thought PF was the best alternative, Sata for that matter came out as the best option having in opposition for 10 yrs and blended as a man of action looking at his political experience. Frank is right to apologize.

  9. Father Bwalya I have personally forgiven you for the pain that you have caused to a lot of Zambians especially in the rural areas by promoting a Kaponya party to rule Zambia. What we have now is not development but Knee jerks on the part of the PF. After achieving Bumper harvests for a few years in a row under MMD we began to take things for granted. Today most farmers on farmer support programme have not received farming inputs, others including my own sister had to borrow money to buy seed and fertilizer as the seed and fertilizer she had paid for was not delivered in time by the man some useful idiots called “Man of Action”. Declaring of substandard infrastructure into Universities is not development this is all deception by a shrewd leader. All in all we have a conman in state house.

    • I don’t agree with your reasoning, criticle thinkers go through before acting not the case with Bwalya to expose his uncoordinated reasoning by asking for forgiveness.bumber harvests came at an exaggerated cost of triple the amount, thereby had to be checked or scaled down to manageable levels in the process yield will obviously reduce but to sustainable levels both at monitoring and food security levels..development has been well done here in Livingstone say well down PF in this sector.

  10. This Bwalya boy was not even fit as board chairman at Zesco he is greedy And wanted the VIP slot, but was limited by gray matter deficiency.Another Bemba empty tin corning his path to statehouse, don’t insult Zambians.

    • @Chinyama you are contradicting yourself there mate. If Bwalya was not fit for that position then what does it say about your idol! Sata? Did he put Bwalya there because because of gratitude, tribal or what?

    • @reporter ..after elections and considering how much jumping Bwalya had done the boss rewarded him with what befitted him In the presidents eyes, but Bwalya unsatisified he wanted a Minister position where the PS would do the job while he takes praise and appears on TV displaying his ignorance…NO chance you can’t fool people all the time.

  11. what? …an apology? to who? and from who? who asked for it?

father bwalya try to marry or have a girlfriend for you to be sober in your thinking, do you need to shoot blank bullets in the air or do you own zambians. shame on you

  12. I do agree with Fr. Bwalya. Even me I thought Sata was the best until now when I have seen some useless and unnecessary policies like using vernacular in schools starting school at 7 years Indeco recreation and other useless staff. I too never thought we can go like this because now we do not even were we can end. Fr. Bwalya is the only alternative at the moment because HH is a spent force by now. Zambians must rally behind Bwalya for president. He is the only hope.

    • be honest my friend, you only want bwalya coz of tribe and I bet if not him it would be Chipimo. How is HH a spent force?

    • Useless tribalist.Have yu read father Bwalya,s manifesto or the tribe is yo manifesto Dodoma.Yu are very dull ,tribe does not bring food on the table.HH is so far The most qualifyd oposition president and UPND manifesto is de best thats why Mwanawasa stole some ideas from it.

  13. He is asking for forgiveness for his blunder. Most of us sincerely believed that since Mr. Sata cleaned Lusaka in the 80’s and got people lazybones working, he would replicate the same countrywide as head of state with the sweeping powers this position comes loaded with. Zambians are impatient to see development and Sata represented the dynamic or agency that would achieve this in a hurry. Little did we know he would prove to be a clueless Mampara who thrives on chaos and whose chief preoccupation is creating confusion. So please accept Bwalya’s apology, don’t be so hard hearted like his excellence the president.

  14. Hold on, Father B. Your commitment to a building a better society is appreciated and admired by many people. Two issues, here. First, arresting you was too drastic. Political leaders are constantly subject to criticism and inconvenience. Second, the PF government is not as bad as you paint it. There are no political prisoners. The hard part of any government is holding its subjects accountable for word and deed. It is really painful to arrest and try God’s people.

  15. Thank you very much for coming back to your senses!!!!

If you can’t see anything wrong with Pa-fyumbu (pf) then their is something wrong you. What normal people can see to be wrong to abnormal people is right for them.

As for you father Bwalya!!!! ask God to forgive you for deceiving Zambians. The act was in public so the act also should be in public.

  16. @wantanshi that Bwalya is not going anywhere he is not genuine and he is a tool to be used by others even HH can use him,the PF is through with him.We Zambians don’t even want to hear from him.

  17. Courage is not the absence of Fear but a judgement that there is something more important than fear,at least father has come to his senses. You campaigned for a serpent pray hard to cast /smoke it out from the tunnels at plot1

  18. Chanda Chimba warned the Zambian people about MCS. Fr Frank your apology accepted. GBM and Fr Frank are principled men. GBM caume

  19. Frank Bwalya is not a focused person. He does not know what he wants to be.
He was busy campaigning hoping to be made a Minister. That is not how things work my dear. Studying Theology or Philosophy does not make you a better person than others. Sata is very focused and he knows what he wants at all times.
Use the gift God has given you “people will never know what you are thinking” it is a great gift from God. So far Sata has done alot of things, of which most of them are good.

  20. For as much as PF is a blandder and disapointment to the zambian people ba Frank Bwalya kanyeleni amasushi ukoo! your are just a gold digger shaa!

  21. Have we been here before? This is Africa. Show me a Government FOR the people and I shall show you a liar. Unfortunately, most African politicians want to gain office so they can get to the spoils of the state and even they get kicked out after their period in parliament they will have been financially made for life. Get used to it. This will probably be the reality for a generation or two. Not until we start getting a pool of prospective candidates who are already wealthy enough not to have ulterior motives for wanting to gain power. We are probably lucky in Zambia in that we do not need to spill blood for people to get their hands on the loot, which is the case in some African countries. Get used to the fact that most of our politicians are not in it for altruistic reasons. Period.

  22. Brother Chinyama you are rally a disgrace to the people of North-western province! Every tym I go through your comments something tells me that you are more of a PF cadre than a zambian citizen. Wake up.

  23. True I have misgivings about PF. But this Frank Bwalya is another hothead like Nevers. The clergymen looked around earth and envied the trappings of political office and climbed down from the pulpit. Just like some angels looked down on earth and envied the daughters of men. Guess what happened to these angels.

  24. I dont think anyone could have doen anything to stop PF being in power regardless, otherwise, the fact is everything happens for a good reason, you may think PF was the worst party to have ruled Zambia but I say it was the best! You caused this motion yourselves for it wouldnt have been possible, Fr Bwalya dont owe anyone any appology, did he put a gun to all millions of you to stamp your finger on PF? Then all you need to excuse yourselves. You have already started slacking behind, this was a lesson for you all, what have you learnt? all you do is scream and call each other names, there are good things to learn from PF. As long as you dont check yourselves individually am afraid you will always see grey even after PF.

    • Just the Language on the Blogs is enough to tell you what kind of crop to expect even when all is said and done for PF! Everyone is screaming and hijacking each other at the same time! Do you see any difference in the frame embodied on the Blog and that seem to be “projected” by PF?
You are busy pointing all the ugliness of this party day in day out, which by the way should be ok and normal, but are you any different? Aint you just all speaking the same language from different angles? I have sensed cadreism on this blog, foul stench from some percieved “ettiquete” fellows, Tribalism you name it which to me has reviewed the same fashion of foundation for a bad or goed future leader.

    • In short, stop looking for an excuse for every choice you made, Father was not alone, all you Zambians voted same as most of you tend to be bad eggs, the problem of a mob is when everyone “passes wind”, every finger points to the one who passed the loudest! Yes PF has had alot of kneel jerks but have you also noticed one or two good things they did? What are you going to do to make sure that next time there wont be Tribalism if you have been blogging it? What are you going to do, to make sure there wont be corruption when you have been corrupt behind the scenes only we dont get wind of it? What have you all done for mother Zambia lately? I have deduced my thoughts on these topics having seen the dressing of our comments, for I know you are what you are from inside.

    • @cindy
not all zambians voted( from your 28.2 comment).. Sata got 42% that means he is a minority president, however PF was a welcome change because MMD had over stayed, some people in MMD had started feeling like it was personal to holder to be in power

Sata has brought all this negativity on himself… first he has surrounded himself with hyenas, people who dont care for nothing but money!! then second sata is not listerning to people neither is he engaging people the way he used to when he was in the oppostion… that why 2016 will be something else!!!

    • @ Ndobo,
I hear you dear, all am saying is, if we want the best for ourselves, lets better ourselves aswell, only then can we be sure of a secured future. Yes there will be thorns along the way, complaints, disatisfactions, wrong turns and choices will be made, but if we learn from them and clean the way without getting dirty ourselves, we are assured of a clean slate! My emphasis is on the future, like some one mentioned already, what has been done has been done, what next?
My other concern is on the calibre of current political opposition leaders we have so far, the impact that has been passed on the youth, what are they learning? Mind you, you will tell them all the ” wrongs” you find on PF, but have you taught them to be the right candidates for a future better Zambia?

  25. All those against SATA, I wish you were in Zambia. You just rant in the comfort of other countries and your are not even ashamed. He is just fine compared to RB. cOME BACK TO zAMBIA YOU WILL SEE. Don’t rely on ZWD news which portray HH as a messiah to come and they write trash about anybody except HH. Good lucky.

    • What is your take home message from what you are saying?
Is this PF new way of writing, using lower case at the beginning ,followed by upper cases ” cOME BACK TO zAMBIA”

    • @koko liko
my dear brother you are an 1diot. you tell people to come back to zambia yet you are far away from the country. that is deception just imitating your uncle in plot one. I am in zambia and to tell you the truth we are dancing kalela of hunger and suffering

    • I think kokoliko is spot on,most bloggers are not resident in Zambia and are out of touch. We here in Livingstone have never seen so much development since independence, the MP Lawrence can smile together with us stone residence due to PF,I challenge you bloggers to state the contrary.i mean good work is just what it is,hey UNDP…

  26. “Even a frog” could have won against MMD! We were tired of corruption, nepotism, abuse of the national treasury, wrong priorities. The PF govt has just messed up so fast because their ideas run out in their 10 yrs of campaign. “Man of action” came into power made so many pronouncements, creation of new districts, universities and made so many unfulfilled promises which could not be sustained. If I may ask who really believed that that PF would fulfill all those promises in 90 days? We just MMD out? MMD should be enjoying this though of course it is finished with them. Fortunately the usefulness of PF is short lived. My only concern is the party to replace this government?

    • unfortunately, an opinion poll was done on ZWD between sata and the frog, well surprise surprise the frog beat michael chilufya sata by a very big margin

  27. I have been reading this online publication for a while now and it makes me sad that people who call themselves journalist repeatedly make grammer & spelling mistakes. I wonder which college they graduated from… its even embarrasing that the Editors even go ahead to publish mistakes. Its too much please pull up your socks. A single mistake is understood not in perpetuity… APOLOGISES not APPOLOGISES. They’s only a single P in the word & not 2.

  28. Before all you were against Kaunda, then against Churiba, then complained of Mwanawasa, then despised Banda and finally now against selfless Sata. What is wrong with you Zambians? Make up your mind! All right try and go back to mmd later you will regret by mistake. Or choose hh you know well how he behaves stupid and his holy tongaism. Or back up with betrayed man who turned away from church of God for corrupted politic. Tell me do you think he will do it well while he is in the middle of wolves? No! No one is perfect or maybe you are looking for a super human with clean perfection. You know that PF only just three years reign have many enemies that is hard to fight them off. Well you better think before you do something otherwise you are nothing as bush people who come out of dark forest.

  29. Ati I apologise to Zambians? For what wrong Mr Bwalya? What wrong did you do to me? For voting for Sata….oh my foot. Did I vote for Sata coz you told me to do so? Mr Bwalya please answer. Was it not of my own decision that I cast my vote on Sata? In fact you have to apologise to Zambians for your folly as to think that you can always manipulate Zambians. Who does not know why you fell out of PF favour? Is not that PF and Sata refused to sponsor you for school? Man , you are a very selfish person who is selfcentered, you dont care for Zambians, even what you are doing its for your self interests and not for Zambians…shaaaaaa.

Peace and Prosperity to Mother Zambia.

  30. Good morning

It’s no use apologising to anyone. You can’t turn back the hands of time. As a “spiritual” man, he should know better that we are all human beings who constantly make decisions we end up regretting. That’s why the scripture says:

“..in ALL things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.” Romans 8,28.

He is like someone who made up his mind to sail accross the sea: he boards a ship and is happy with the crew. Then the weather gets wild and the tempest begins to rock the ship. He starts to curse the day he trusted the Captain and made the decision to be a passenger of the ship. He wants to jump out as fast as he can…

What if the sea suddenly calms down? His next reaction is open to your interpretation..

  31. The people monitoring Development being done by the PF dont wast time here making bitter comments.

They are busy inspecting the developmental projects, which will benefit our children and our children’s children.

    VIVA PF VIVA SATA!!

  32. At least he had the courage of resigning from Zesco when he saw how useless and misdirected the PF govt was. Bravo Fr Bwalya.

    • No ! work was challenging and he was slowly getting exposed he suffered from a terrible grey matter deficiency. He wanted ceremonial positions like …in the media daily ,so he can continue making noise …try next door my brother…

  33. Father Bwalya indeed is a principled man. He has realized his mistakes. Lets forgive him and forge ahead. 2016 Frank Bwalya for President

  34. No more Bemba Presidents, Sata will be the last one to rule Zambia or from Chipata. We need other tribes to lead like Kaondes, Luvales, Lundas, Tongas, Lozies,Namwanga, Tumbuka etc Other 72 tribes to contribute to the welfare of Zambia as one nation with equal rights.

  35. President Sata n PF are changing the face of Zambia n restoring it to its former glory and bankululungwe looking for power n opportunity to come and steal cannot appreciate that. Blogging from dungeons and insulting ubuteko is the order of the day. Any incongruent person or even amashilu when they insult ubuteko becomes their friends. How sad! God determines everything and not your warped heads. For those with an opportunity to visit Zambia today if you can afford an air ticket n your papers are in order pls go home n see for yourself. No common man who is voter is insulting everyday but busy trying to better their lives. l ve never seen so much insults on the net than this right from the day PF came to power. Remember insults will NEVER will you an election.

  36. Yes honestly speaking PF has failed to deliver and fulfil its promises. A party with no direction due to pathetic leadership i also regret for compaigning and wasting my vote on that particular day. SATA & HIS GOVT HAVE FAILED TO RULE THIS NATION PERIOD!

    • Man I am sure you are not in Zambia. If you were in Zambia you cant utter such nonsense. Please dear come back home and see what PF is doing. My dear my self under PF I am at par with the NGO’s salaries. What else do I need from PF’s GRZ? Oh , what a great PF that it has given me a good salary after a long period of slavery salaries under the rule of the plunderer- MMD.

  37. The problem in 2016 will be who to vote for!

HH – has failed to capitalise on what is happening to him to turn the situation into his votes. He is yet to learn to do politics – he is still too business minded. People are on the fence. Will he reach a tipping point by 2016? I doubt it.

    F. Bwalya – too noisy. Not even clear what he stands for. All is doing now is to criticise PF a party he campaigned for.

Milupi – is he still a president of a political party?

Chipimo – a very promising young man, I actually started thinking actively about him – but he has failed to reach the people in markets, bus stations and villages. He is elitist.

Nawakwi, Miyanda and Magande – I don’t even know what to say. They are simply useful for being critiques.

Sata is not standing. Who then…
