Zambia U20 & U17 set for 2015 qualifiers

Zambia Under-20 have been handed a first round bye in their Senegal 2015 CAF U20 Cup qualifiers while their Under-17 counterparts take on a Southern neighbor on the road to Niamey.

The Under-20 side will kick off its 2015 Dakar qualifiers in May and await the winner of the first round tie involving Mozambique and Namibia coming up in April.

Zambia will be away in the first leg against one of the two sides with the winner advancing to the final third round qualifying stage.

There, the winner will play winner of the DR Congo versus winner of first round match involving Malawi and Botswana.

Meanwhile, the Under-17 team will face Botswana in a Niger 2015 CAF Under-17 Cup second round qualifier this July.

Zambia Under-17 will host Botswana on July 19 before travelling to Gaborone on August 2.

Winner will play winner of the Rwanda versus Seychelles or Uganda second round tie in the final qualifying stage in September.

  1. I just hope that FAZ will let preparations begin now. Please don’t wait until the last month…like you usually do. Get friendlies with West/East/North Africans and European teams. A bye doesn’t mean sitting by doing nothing.

  2. This is one of the easy draws for the Under 17s and 20s. If we don’t qualify than we should forget hosting AFCON-2019. The under 17s and 20s teams in any country form the nursey of good nation team. See how Nigeria and Chana have performed in the recent past at under 17 and 20 tornments at all levels-Africa and World.
