Political activist Dante Saunders delivers a speech during the gathering to demand for the release of the Zambian constitution

Political Analyst Dante Saunders has charged that President Michael Sata could be looking for an excuse to into introduce a state of emergency in the country going by the manner in which he is handling national matters.

Mr. Saunders told Qfm news in an interview that the current situation in the country clearly shows that President Sata allegedly wants to manipulate people to react against his way of governing the country.

Mr. Saunders said that he suspects that it is at this point that President Sata will allegedly have a perfect opportunity to bring in a state of emergency after people have reacted violently.

He said that that once a state of emergency is brought in the country, it will be the end of opposition and good governance, but a welcome move to corruption and other vices that are not good for the country.

The political analyst however noted that Zambians are capable of reacting to certain issues in the right way. Zambians will not want to violently react to the manner President Sata is handling national matters for the sake of peace.

He said that for the sake of peace, government should learn to listen to the people and do things that the people of Zambia want such as giving them a new people driven constitution.

And the Zambia Centre for Inter party Dialogue (ZCID) has said that the current political environment clearly shows that the country is not heading in the right direction.

Speaking to Q fm in an interview, ZCID Executive Director Horrance Chilando said that it was high time that the country went back to its drawing board to see where the country was going wrong and change the way of doing things to get back to the right direction.

Mr. Chilando noted that want is happening in Zambia where opposition political parties are enemies of the ruling party and those in the ruling party are enemies of the opposition is not a conducive environment for the consolidation of democracy.

He added that political party leaders must learn to be tolerant towards each other and also learn to respect each other’s opinion instead of resorting to personal insults and attacks as it happening now adding that this is not the multi party democracy that the country fought for.

The ZCID Executive Director however noted that the position of government on matters that affect people’s emotions also contribute hugely to making the situation worse adding that government should sometimes tone down in its statements.

    • I am blogging from only one perspective; to save HH from the impending doomsday. I urge HH to step aside from politics so that if indeed Sata wants to impose a state of emergency, he will have a difficult time justifying it. Also HH will be the first to be incacerated if this plan goes ahead. And I ask my friend HH, you have one life; why waste your life fighting for a lost cause as Zambians are used to being oppressed and do not value freedom or democracy and please dont be deceived by these annonymous bloggers. My brother if you continue being stubborn and not listen to well meaning people like me your end will be painful (remember Guy Scott threat to GBM) and sad. Let the poor or middle class who need a plot one job take up this task of daily fights with Sata and pf.

    • State of Emergency – far from it. We as a people can never entertain that. This is 21st Century mwana, such happened in KK’s time when we we’re very young and didn’t know what was happening, not now.

Sata just doesn’t have a clue on how to run a Country, he will be removed and confined to the archieves quitely.

    • Please whoever has been blogging under my name the past few days should stop it.There is only one Saulosi.I’m not blogging these days because I’m outside my base attending an international conference. You have been warned.

    • So true about growing OLD, it’s either you lose your mind and return to being a toddler or you grow even wiser, become respected like the oracle!
Unfortunately I can only say one thing about these alarming rants…….someone went back to being a Toddler!

    • @ Democratic Legal, while I know that Tata’s perceived enemy number one is HH, your advice to HH is misplaced and highly compromised by some PF biasness. Political Analyst Dante Saunders has a very valid point and good foresight. This can never be far from the truth. We have been short changed by the DONCHI KUBEBA trick stars. . . to be short changed = To treat unfairly or deceitfully

    • Sata is a slave to the “thoughts” of Hatred, Anger and Revenge. He does not know how to divert his mind and fix it on some other good and noble thoughts.
He is quite unaware of the nature and suitable workings of the mind.

His position is extremely deplorable despite his earthly possessions, the experience and knowledge obtained in his life.

My advice to anyone in opposition, who Sata calls all sorts of names, is not to counter attack on trivial personal issues, because he is always looking for a fight to justify his means.

The way forward is just to remind him how he has failed the people of Zambia. When you remind him his failures, he has no answers and keeps humiliating himself and DE-campaign PF in 2016

    • Dante Saunders is a spineless UPND political analyst. He is making a mountain out of a mole hill

There is absolutely no need to falsely alarm the nation with such hot stinky stream like the impending declaration of the state of emergency.

nothing justifies that and even if a few disgruntled UPND cadres became violent, we have enough police to deal with them under the current law.

Stop your cheap propaganda and take a chill pill

    • Saunders thinks he has value, he should just ask for a job period. His statements are old models and so not make any sense.

I do not know if he is still relevant to the Zambian politics.

  1. There is a MAD man at plot 1. Prophet Chanda Chimba III warned Zambia. Violence will not remove Sata from power, as he thrives in violence. Sata and violence are best friends. Only the conventional ways will make Sata go down. One is through a ballot, and another is through “checking out”.

    • The same was said that only Violence will have Rupiah removed, but we removed him and no one shed any blood.

Why fight to remove Sata, he will be removed and quitely and confined to the Archieves.

  2. This is really a desperate situation we are in and very troubling to the core. The Sata I know and the Sata Fred Mmembe knows (forgot his blinding contracts he gets now) is ruthless and could indeed instroduce the state of emergency. In fact I don’t think people should have much hope for 2016 either. Unlike RB, this Sata is incapable of cenceding any defeat and ceding power, more so if HH happens to win. This is a touch mountain to climb than people think.

We warned people about this and nobody believed us. We are in real mess here and only God can help us out out of this mess.

No doubt as MMD we accept the blame for this mess. There are things that we did badly that caused our people to even vote for a FROG Government. We should have done things better.

    • The mere mention of HH drives him nuts, my biggest fear is the elimination of HH by any means possible by the ruling party and believe me there are many ways they can do that, they are waiting for an opportunity!

    • “In order to have the stuff of a tyrant, a certain mental derangement is necessary”. Emile Cioran.

Thats a direct quote from a Romanian philosopher…and it aptly describes Sata.

    • HH as its first and chief victim of this state of emergency. Those of us who were at ZNS mushili military camp with HH in 1980/18 and then knew him at the then Coopers & Lybrand and saw him avoid the folly we got into as young men (girls, cars and booze) whilst he accumulated wealth by buying real estate and cattle and stuck it out with the Shepande girl should talk to our colleague, HH, to run away from the great controversy about to engulf this country. HH is already an extremely rich man with cattle in thousands which give birth by the hundreds every month. My brother, HH, why stake your whole life and prosperity on these Zambians who wont defend you when Sata strikes??!!!! I really urge Mutinta to counsel huby. Zambians are are used to oppression. Let them suffer.

    • I always pinch my concious in the hope of finding forgiveness, peace and justice for sins I committed to God, the people of Zambia as well as the justice system in the country. Agony, kalanga ine was the mistake I made of voting for Sata. Napunzila ine

    • I share your thought. Alternatively, Tata can mobilise his devilish colleagues at bwinjimfumu road to plan the assassination of the potential threat in HH, since he (Tata) knows manipulating the constitution to stop HH and Mumba from contesting the 2016 elections is a non-starter. What Dante Saunders said can be comfirmed from the impunity in Tata’s actions to persue wild and personal interests as opposed to his post-2011 populist character. The devil is evil.

  3. I would like to know how a country expects to be properly run by a patient whose core activity is sleeping! When he wakes up since half of the time he is dreaming, tries to implement his dreams, the way to go which is not too long from now is not violence, 2016 is around the corner, I am sure most of us can endure. God willing he might not be there to even witness a wonderful transition to a true democracy.

    • Any attempt of HH’s life is suicidall. You will see terrible violence from people you think are quiet. HH is our dilverer. We lost Mazoka, Bodwin, Liso. We will not lose HH.

    • Meant to say……HH will be the first and chief victim of this state of emergency. Those of us who were at ZNS mushili military camp with HH in 1980/81 for compulsory military service after secondary school (he came from Southern Province, and I think it was Kalomo or Choma Secondary School) and then knew him ………

  4. Only HH or a Coalition government with integrity people can save the country from this menace of Pathetic First(PF).
May God grant Mr Sata and his Pathetic Fighters(PF) to live long enough so that they can be answerable to their breach of the constitution on daily basis.
Give a plus if you love HH and Humanity full of democracy combined with a strong opposition.

    • @Skeleton…….no no no …….. leave HH out of this trash. Go in front yourself and dont throw this innocent man to the snake which is as vernomous as a black mamba with a squeeze of an anaconda!! HH mwandi balekubepa fye……these people wont be there when you are in chukes. Me, am your real friend and have been wanting to talk to you personally but your handlers keep blocking me. My appeal to you is to leave politics since you dont need a penny or ngwee from the majority corrupt zambians who dont care about democracy. Look at GBM, Kapwepwe, Nkumbula, Mazoka, Emmanuel Kasonde etc…. do you want to go their way???? Hear my cry for you.

    • Should HH be assassinated by Satan, Satan should know that his life will also be ended by a suicide bomber. If he has killed many this could be his last kill.

  5. The head of state going for campaign just to unleash his anger on Hh instead of explaining social and economic issues like, the high prices of food and other essential commodities, the garbage piling in our cities.if he was still in opposition sata would be crying on all media stations on these matters.forget about waiting for 2016,those who are still hoping for 2016 be warned that am another Chanda chimba IV.how can sata talk of hh ‘s father when he has children in every corner in Zambia?

    • Thank God he did not become a Catholic priest. Otherwise he would have impregnated many nuns for him to have 20 children.

  6. “A tyrant is always stirring up some war or other trouble, in order that the people may require a leader.” -Plato.

I think Plato had Sata in mind when he made this quote….. and Dante Saunders is indirectly quoting Plato too.

  7. @janza kumbele…..why do you want to put HH in harm’s way. Sata is fierce and ruthless and he is also old and wont care of the repurcussions. You yourself must rise to lead the party UPND or any opposition alliance. Leave HH out of this. He is already rich and should not suffer for a people who wont defend him including you janza kumbele. Mwandi HH, hear me and listen to me well. The likes of janza kumbele wont be there for you when that great serpent strikes……. I mean well for your life, family and wealth. Leave this stupid politics to the poor and those who need tenders. I know how you suffered whilst at Mushili and your early years at C&L. God has been kind to you, dont be led by the devil into a trap of politics. Many will criticise my blogs and but its your life!!!!

    • @Democratic Legal, if HH is sent by God to be the savior of this great nation who are you to stop him? It is clear from your argument that this man is not going into it for the money, then definitely he must be going into it for the love of Mother Zambia even if it means loosing his life! Like the Holy Bible says ‘what greater gift can one give to his friends than to offer his very life?’ Viva HH!!

    • @SOCRATES…..am far from PF but very close to HH. And HH cannot be a saviour of Zambia. The only saviour is Jesus Christ. Please do not pretend u love HH as much as you desire to achieve your agenda, however laudable it might be. If Zambians will one day decide to espouse Democracy anyone will provide the required leadership eg. Chiluba at the turn to multiparty democracy. What I refuse is for people to use HH as a sacrificial lamb. He is already rich; I rather he establishes foundations like Bill Gates and leave the slizy corrupt zambian politics to the turncoats, scoundrels and riff raffs we all know….. Mwandi HH, me I have your interests at heart; dont be cheated by these soothsayers.

  8. @MMD Bootlicker….

You r right man. Lets just pray thts the only way. We cant afford to start SHEDDING BLOOD whn we did the same for INDEPENDENCE STRUGGLE.
We dont want to live like people in Somalia and those War Torn countries like CAR.
We PRAY and God deliver Zambia frm this Dragon-Sata.

Viva Saunders Viva HH Viva UPND.

  9. Dante Saunders you are purely wrong you don’t Zambians and you don’t the repulican president your analysis wrong.
where are you coming from and where are you heading to?
MMD headed this country to hell please allow the big Man to do his work
HH can also can not lead the nation at the moment let him be born again from is selfiness and tribalism behavour.
you wrong people you like condemning without giving solutions to problems you are speculating hahahahahah you are wrong definately wrong.

  10. Am sure the many children he has fathered all over the country can not even vote for him because they are equally disappointed

  11. Where is the old man KK and his son Panji? Maybe they can discuss this while visiting Sata by his bedside at Nkwazi House.
Equally where is lady 1? MCS needs the lady by his side just to help control the madness caused by the pain he might be going through. It is not fare to leave the old man alone and walk in public with the aid of unknown kids with that tall thug Ngoma behind him instead of Mama Kaseba. She is luck that he is in the current state otherwise he would have already pick a ‘stand-in’ by now!

  12. I can’t waste my time on Saunders who I think is a failed politician and not an analyst as he would like to be called. This whole talk of a state of emergency is utterly nonsensical and doesn’t even need an analysis.

  13. We are too docile as a people. The way this govt has dribbled the constitution process is unforgivable! I hope having had a glimpse of a great constitution and seeing how it can improve governance can galvanize us to ensuring PF doesn’t deny us the right to what the majority want. Put aside your political agendas Zambians and focus on the greater good. Having a credible constitution is bigger any one of us! Lets leave a legacy for our children! Let it be known by generations to come that we refused to settle for less!

    • @Ganda…..you are correct, Zambians are as docile as they are gullible. Do you think Nigerians or Americans would have embraced the 90 day lie? And since when did the Zambians stand up to fight when they were robbed eg. Mazoka’s stolen victory and Kaunda’s 5 yearly hyena/frog debacles? Each cowed in their homes. It is for this reason that I despise those who keep pushing HH to face the might vernomous anaconda like snake. It is not fair. If HH was your child would you send him to calvary for a people who are corrupt and can sell your soul for two-six? Aikona….leave HH alone. Go and face Sata alone after all you have something to benefit ie. a job at plot one and prospects of stealing to become a multi-millionaire which HH already is.

  14. Dante Saunders’ joblessness is driving him crazy. The old is hallucinating and seeing visions that are imaginary. The man’s hunger is so intense that he can do or say anything in the hope of a possible job in future. Old man go to China n learn how to rear chickens for 4 weeks.

  15. Truthfully, I would be glad to see Zambians suffer and feel terror and fear. Let them be locked up, beaten silly and kicked in the teeth. Why? So that Zambians will finaly learn to vote after thinking.

    Let the man torment you,

  16. The state of emergency is already there, Last night I went to buy airtime from a funeral house and I met four men who arrested us, but you could hear in their talk that they were not trained men and not even police men. Only one man with a gun looked to be genuine because he had a machine gun, but he was also very quiet. And the language itself could tell that they where not police men but Satan’s militia men. The state of emergency is already in place.
