Opposition United Party for National Development (UPND) President Hakainde Hichilema has urged the Catholic Church not to ignore threats by President Sata on Chipata diocese Bishop George Lungu to sort him out.
Mr. Hichilema said remarks by President Sata that those demanding the enactment of the constitution are yapping shows that he has no respect for the people Zambia.
Speaking when he received defectors at UPND Secretariat today, Mr.Hichilema stated that the President has a lot of powers and is capable of carrying out his threats on Bishop Lungu.
Mr. Hichilema said the threats on Bishop Lungu are an insult to the Catholic church and the nation at large.
He said this is the reason why President Sata has allegedly stopped going to Church because he is aware that the church is not happy with him for a bunch of failed promises.
Mr Hichilema said Bishop Lungu should be careful and watch his steps stating that such threats coming from a Head of State do not come from anywhere.
And Mr. Hichilema has reminded President Sata that during his first address to Parliament he assured the nation through the house that the PF government will deliver the constitution in 90 days.
Mr. Hichilema said that the President was very much aware that the country had a functional constitution when he was appointing the Technical Committee which has gobbled over K130 million.

I watched HE president M.C Sata on ZNBC TV1 when he was disembarking from the Kenyan Airliner, he staggered to the point of falling down until saved by the ladder, otherwise, the man was falling down. Our leader is not in good health, so what he says could be as a result of the illness and the pressure from these useless PF MPs and useless Ministers.
