Power overcome Napsa

Power Dynamos moved into second place on the FAZ Super League table after beating ten-men Napsa Stars 2-0 at Arthur Davies Stadium in Kitwe on Saturday.

First half goals from Jimmy Ndhlovu and Alex Ng’onga helped Power to increase their tally 25 points, four behind leaders Zanaco who beat Green Buffaloes 3-2 on the same day.

Ndhlovu led Power into the recovery path from last Saturday’s 1-0 loss at Konkola Blades when he finished Julius Situmbeko’s cross just after eight minutes.

Ng’onga doubled the lead in the 35th minute when he fired into the next Ndlovu’s pass from outside the box.

Napsa tried to come back into the game in the second half but their best was not good enough to break the Power backline led by Nyambe Mulenga and Billy Mutale.

Napsa’s attempt to salvage something from this game hit a snag when White Mwanambaba was shown a redcard by referee Wisdom Chewe for a second yellow after hacking Ng’onga.
This was Napsa’s second straight loss as they remain stuck on 19 points.

  1. The name Shipolopolo or shepolopolo as you call them does not make any sense atall. You people can not even explain the difference between Chipolopolo and Shepolopolo. I know that people have taken the word ‘she’ to mean female but i dont know if the word ‘chi’ means male. I would rather they are called the Chipolopolo Girls than call them Shepolopolo bcoz Matimba called them so. Just thinking.
