Special Assistant to the President for press and public relations George Chellah has defended the recent ‘muted’ swearing in ceremony of Attorney General and solicitor general by President Sata. The swearing-in of the Attorney-general and the solicitor-general was publicized with only still and motion pictures available and lacking the necessary sound-bite of the President. The only media organization represented was ZANIS.

APC President Nason Msoni said the symbolic nature of taking the oath of allegiance before the President provides the necessary platform and gives the President an opportunity to provide counsel and to warn appointees in advance and other would be errant officials about the sanctity of undertaking the oath of allegiance relative to the assumption of their office.Mr Msoni said it therefore really matters to listen to what the President had said during those proceedings. The mere fact that the important aspect and part was ruthlessly curtailed leaves credible doubts lingering and bring to the fore more suspicion and lingering questions begging for answers.

Mr. Msoni said he is of the understanding that the manner in which President Sata has continued to execute his duties away from the public eye is not the right way of running government and added that the trend adopted under the Patriotic Front (PF) government of merely releasing still pictures of the President at official functions is alien and contradicts every established political principle and practice.

However Presidential spokesperson George Chella told QFM that Mr Msoni’s observations are petty and primitive.

Mr Chellah said the doubts and questions Mr. Msoni is referring to are only in his head and he believes that well meaning Zambians would not doubt that the President is well and working especially that he has been recently been seen on Television and in recent pictures when he sworn-in the new Attorney General Musa Mwenye and Solicitor General Abraham Mwansa at State House.

“The gist of the matter is that Mr Msoni is being primitive and petty. It is beyond malice he is just being petty and primitive,” Chellah said.

  1. It must be bad that ZNBC couldn’t even produce an audio of the swearing in.don’t worry with facebooks new instant messenger am sure chella will provide us with audio next time

    • The point is Sata is enjoying good health, happy and working hard,,,why are you mutting a hard worker who is happy and healthy???,,,, so iwe chellah what are defending?? ,,,, why is Sata mute?? ……is he now a chibulu since his return from israel??

    • @Ndobo, We will hear him speak at a rally in Mangango. Sata never miss parliamentarian by-elections.
But I can imagine, his voice must be shaky… it was just too much of medicine in 1 single month.

    • I am sorry to say that this kind of deception is unprecedented. To have people defend the indefensible to the hilt is what is primitive and petty. The PF can argue that the non attendance of MCS to meet Obama was not mandatory (though would give Zambia an eye into business deals) but to miss ones own showcase just in the neighbourhood of the show grounds says alot about this whole facade the our dear leader is “enjoying the best of health.”

    • Watchdog are saying that the doctors used part of his tongue to patch up the undercarriage.

    • @Nostradamus
Sata better unmute, unfacebook and go to mangango to speak in flesh,,,,,,that man standing on PF ticket is part of my own family forest, he is my uncle,,,, i know he cant win!!,,,,,,But i want your Sata to go and speak good this time in baroste maybe promise another football staduim in mangongo,,,, but i also know your Sata hates my people in Baroste,,,, so if he doesnt go there,he already has an excuse…… his own hate

    • @Ndobo

Please tell me my bro, did they finally manage to follow my advice to animate Sata on ZNBC, but I hear without a voice?

I can bet you my finger, Sata will never be seen live mingling with the supporters any more.

The day the truth will come out, that will be the end of PF. They better tell people now what happened to Sata the day he was flown to Israel before its too late because they are committing treason.

SATA IS LONG DEAD. PF are just producing comedy to entertain their supporters.

How can PF supporters expect a dead man to go to the US or Magongo? Impossible!

Ka chella is just a stupid ***** working on Mmembe’s instruction.

If you remember the day Sata ‘s face was created, I stated that Chella created the Sata’s face book as a tool for deception when…

    • Chela my advise to you is take leave, come and do proper , Journalism here in England at the BBC offices. Not the one you did under Clayson Hamasaka the freemason, the editor of Zambian Watchdog.
You will need a life after PF.

    • This Zambian Crooked Bemba circus is becoming interesting indeed. Nima sebela ya ba Koswe aya mange! Whats up my Bemba cousins?

      You have now ANIMATED SATA!

      They should beg me to add his voice to his avatar, they wont be disappointed, but on one condition though;

PF should start building 500 hundred houses for government workers so that they can save on rental charges and stretch their peanut salaries a bit further. Without meeting this condition, I wont help.

    • Wanzelu brother don’t exclude yourself, this is a Zambian circus, don’t hide under the cover of “Bemba this Bemba that” this is All Our circus

    • We Zambians are truly a docile people, only a gullible paid PF cadre would be convinced by those photos of that fast diminishing old man…who on earth wears a shirt with such long sleeves unless one is hiding something.
I repeat the oldman is incapable of being in that office and this silly young immature boy you guys call a PA owes us an explanation for his absence. We are paying these people from taxpayer’s mpney for doing absolutely nothing.
Zambians wake up get rid of these dead wood in State House.

    • I eagerly await to see the jubilee celebration. 50 years of zambian independence. We will see how that unfolds and whether it will be done as has been the tradition of the president addressing the zambian public or it will be another new trick in the book. Am sure this time we will hear the likes of Ozius or other gifted comedians mimicking the president’s voice and delivering sound with no picture. We only hope our president will be in good health on that day. Being a president is hard work. You cannot forever appear to be ruling by having only a select few that see you in the flesh and hear your voice with the rest of the country seeing still pictures and Facebook updates. Time will tell

    • Now this is silly and annoying on the part of Chellah and all you PF vuvuzelas. Can we be serious with life for a change. Chellah is being paid for malingering at State House and so is the Head man of Zambia. The man has a country to run and not a village in Mpika for God-sake!
Sata is the face of Zambia and he can’t be holed in State House like a tortoise in its shell. If the man can’t perform, we have the young HH, Mumba, Chipimo and many more Zambian ready to take the nation to the next level. Please be serious and not just yap here.

    • I went all the the way down to #20, I didn’t find SAULOSI, I just hope and pray he didn’t hang himself and MUSHOTA might have gone to his funeral.
Please SAULOSI be strong, Ba Sata is a strong man, he pull through all these Musoni’s demands.

    • @2.2 Nostradamus,
Saulosi, Mushota and George Chellah are the main actors in this Muppet show ( or maybe the three stooges ) that is currently a blockbuster in Zambia.

    • How can Zambians justify paying this guy trolley loads of tax payers money when all he does is swearing in his family members and friend for lucrative jobs abroad or in Zambia? And not now he has gone mute. This is diabolic to say the truth and can only happen in Zambia ruled by a face book and mute president.

  2. Points of correction:

    1. Chellah, I beg to differ. It is you who is being petty and primitive to think Zambians will just sit idle with a leader who is enjoying living on hard earned cash from taxpayers.

    2. Well meaning Zambians do not want any doubts and therefore it is imperative for your boss (Sata) to assure the nation that he is well and working.

Just because you question the state of the president doesn’t mean you wish him dead. Sata owes it to citizens to clear all the speculating. If he is not well, we wish him well and will pray for him.

Last but not least, this is not about PF/UPND/MMD. It is for the greater good of a nation to have a leader who is inspirational. There is a direct correlation with economic growth!

    • We should just accept that Chellah has found himself in big shoes and he cannot fit. He tries to hide his big body behind his palm. I suggest his masters come to his rescue. All the unprofessional conduct of the Post is now coming out of the paper’s ambassadors. I hope Zambians now know that there is no substitute to education.

  3. Some how I understand how Sata just stays at state house. Zambia looks as if the Israeli army has dropped a few missiles in the vicinity. The country is dirty, disorganized, and has the same roads Welensky left. The only roads that are paved are the ones Sata uses. The rest are dungeons!

    • What do you expect…

In modern times you have a grade 2 president.

Has not said anything worth his pay in two years. Sleeps the whole day.
      A dementia vice president..
      A secretary general on ARV’s

      The list is endless

    • At least a grade 2 has managed to dribble the entire nation and he has become what many graduates will never become in their lifetime.

    • Why is it so difficult for us to clean our country and build the right infrastructure … I am in shock with the state of affairs as I visit my family

  4. This boy George Chellah is very stupi.d. Does he think that all the 14 million Zambians who are questioning his incompetence, idio.cy and stupi.dity are “petty and primitive”? He should tone down his unprofessional language and realise that his job is soon coming to an end. We know he has amassed wealth, as is the case for all PF ministers and others in the PF forest, and that’s why he has become so big-headed. Mr Msoni was not speaking as himself but on behalf of us the silent majority who are not in the limelight. Don’t underestimate public dissent on how you the stupi.d PF have caused so much pain to Zambians. One day reality will dawn to you and you will see how angry Zambians are towards idio.ts like you.

  5. CAN WE BE HELPED US PEOPLE IN KABOMPO WITH THE BEHAVOIR OF THE POLICE OFFICER IN CHARGE AT KABOMPO POLICE STATTION
JUST TWO WEEKS AGO A WOMEN WAS RAPED BY POLICE OFFICERS WHILST IN CELLS BUT USING THE HOSPITAL THE EVIDENCE WAS DESTROYED AND THE WOMAN WAS NOT HELPED TO DATE.
NOW YESTERDAY THREE GIRLS WERE SUSPENDED FROM KABOMPO HIGH SCHOOL FOR ATTENDING A BIRTHDAY PART ARRANGED BY A POLICE OFFICER BY THE NAME OF KAY MBAMBIKO WHO IS IN AFFAIR WITH PEZO MATESU A MINOR AT KABOMPO HIGH SCHOOL.

THE NAMED POLICE OFFICER HAD A PART ON 19TH JULY FROM 11 HRS TO 23 HRS WITH THE SAME MINORS AND PICKED ,TOOK THEM BACK USING HIS CAR.

BUT INSTEAD THE OFFICER IN CHARGE ARRESTED THE INNOCENT TEACHER AND BREW EVERYTHING ON ZNBC WHEN THE CULPRIT IS THE POLICE OFFICER.

WE NEED TO BE ASSISTED B4…

  6. Anyway there is an improvement. From nothing to still pictures, from still pictures to moving pictures, and the next one will be normal. Life has ups and down. This could have been a good answer from GC.

  7. Chela is not the most professional press assistant we have had but let us not be too hard on him.The problem here is Sata he has made the foolish young man s job difficult. But his reaction (Chela) has made a bad situation worse.

  8. What happened to the once talktive former Lusaka Goveron who was so talktive more than Kamolodo,,Alex Shapi and Kebby Musokotwane.Today he is even mute and former Copy Typist at The Once Mighty paper that used to dig deeper,The Weekly Post sees nothing wrong..Something is not ok with my former Governor.i

    • the problem started when you Zambians put Banda as president, the country almost run bankrupt due to unaudited activities by him family tree,so Zambians had no choice but to change Govt,bt for the sickness President Sata was the right choice Zambians had, personally i wanted HH but his allegience to the late president Banda dissappointed me hence like all Zambians i had no choice but to try the man of action. For your own information he may remain mute as long as Zambians are ok with it. Put on your seat belts.

  9. WATCHING A MOVIE U WILL SEE CHUCK NORRIS JUMPING LIVE FROM A PLANE NO INJURY U WILL SEE VANDEM ADRESSING SOLDIERS.ALL THOSE AND THAT OF SATA ITS COMPUTOR FICTION

    • AHAHAHAHAHAH…..@JUDGE YOU ARE RELLY FROM I’NGOMBE ILEDE PARTY.THE FREEMASON HH HAS POLUTED YOU MIND WITH DEMONIC HATRED.YOU SAW THE PRESIDENT,HE WAS WALKING ON HIS OWNI SURPORT YOU CHELLA.THESE I’NGOMBE ILEDE PARTY ARE HATERS…….

    • @ftj and the Kolwestan Clan you seem to lost in the Ituli forest.Your biggest baboon has been struck by numbness he cant speak.he can not reason straight he talks from halusinations seeing pictures of dead pipo.prominent pictures of a pygm from the congo forest. He thought because he a big baboon he can easily kill a small Monkey from congo forest, but to his surprise the small monkey is advanced.the small monkey dribbled him in 2001 and now the some small monkey will strangle the Satanic baboon to death.Better to eat Ngombe (Beef) than a kolwe it stinks.

    • @FODENSAKO
I have noticed that you i’ngombe ilede chaps are cursed because you are followers of the freemason. If you associate your self to a club, party, family etc in the spiritual realm it has a agreat impact to your life. This freemason HH demonically putting a spell on you followers, without knowing. His hatred has been transfered to the i’ngombe ilede party is equally to that of the devil.Mazoka never left the party in the state it is today. The bodyof Christ has to interven in this matter and deliever these souls the freemason HH is leading to hell….

    • @ftj.

We have learnt to despise your thieving deceptive ways. We of the South have no time for you. The battle lines have long been drawn between the thieving tribalistic deceptive North and the Pastoralists of the South. The rest if for the other tribes to decide who can better protect the interests of Zambia. The born looters and thiefs inhabiting the North or the hardworking folks of the South.

      Zambia; its your choice.

  10. If Chella is indeed the special Assistant to our President, then we should all get worried. I miss the days of Dominic Mulaisho when he represented KK. You could never read such trash. Surely we Zambians pay tax to pay an amateur like Chella? To PF Zealots he is the best. Anyway the whole PF is amateurish. Why am I even surprised at this Nonsense? How do you have a President who makes people celebrate whenever he comes out of hibernation? Why even hibernate? What does he do during hibernation? Chella is a buffoon.

  11. where is that culprit Nevers Mumba. The chap is suppose to polish my drains and septic tank today. in return im donating to victory ministries so that he can eat and live for free

  12. Anyone with political ears? Please listen to Chipimo about a Government of National Unity.
There are only four (4) political game changers today in Zambia: Scott, Miyanda, Chipimo and AKA. If these four knock their good heads together productively, we are in for a Zambia that we deserve.
If the rest of the eleven (11) party bosses cooperate; we can have a People Driven Constitution before 2016; then all of us go home and look forward to a prosperous Centenary in 2064.

    • Another Mwango Kolwestan whats wrong with HH so as to propose a pact to indose another urgly Kolwestan chipimo as president.Mu lekwatako insoni mwe Bemba.Lekani bambi bamilangeko efyo ba teka ichalo.

  13. Koma it is wild pa Zed, it is now acceptable for one in public office to remain silent and not address his people. People even praise him when he stands and walks, I guess standing and walking is some sort of action. Is this what they term “man of action”? Only in Zed is such bizzare leadership accepted. I await the Jubilee independence speech. I wonder how they’ll dodge that one.

    • Like the way a couple gets excited when their baby takes its first step, this lunatic facet the Zambians are exhibiting. Instead of taking the president to task about what the hell he has been doing for the past almost two months, they are satisfied with his spooky appearances on a few photos. Docile is no longer adequate to describe this sheep-like behaviour in our people. Please mwe bantu, this president of yours is just like any employee who could be fired for incompetence or abdicating his responsibilities and Sata is guilty of all the above. It’s not the time to treat him with kid gloves.

    • This is exactly these people’s conundrum. Just how long do they imagine they can keep this charade going? I hope for their sake that Sata is well and not just playing a game of hide and seek for the moment because I can not see how they can keep trying to fool people for much longer if indeed he is unwell. There are certain things that can not be kept hidden forever. Clearly something is amiss with the president and It would be so much easier and better for the nation to be told the truth. What the hell is the big deal? Why do African leaders live in such fear of their own people? If revolutionaries like Fidel Castro and the late Hugo Sanchez can so readily accept and acknowledge their fate to their people, why not an African president?

    • “There are certain things that can not be kept hidden forever.”

      @I am myself I am

That’s the one episode of this drama that now remains to be played out. Question is: are they really that STUP!D (PF minions doing the hoodwinking) they don’t know we know Sata is a dead man walking?

    • @yakuntashi , when you write be real and think critically before blogging. How would you feel if you got sick while working for ZRA and you are asked to stop work, infact Zambia has rules that keep you in office until your contract expires, coming to the issue,Presidency in Africa is dynamic hence there are alot of factors at play that needs to work around before deciding to rest a seating president.Be patient and share your economic plan those ellucinations that u continue to post.

  14. Humble advice to George Chellah; next time you want the President to “speak” to the citizens via audio message, just give the speech to our accomplished comedians like Pakeni Makowane, Ozias Kaundula Banda or Ben Phiri. They will be gracious enough to read that speech in Sata’s legendary hoarse voice (at a minimal fee of course) and the “well-meaning” Zambians will no doubt be very convinced that our great leader is enjoying good health. Let’s learn to empower our comedians by giving them such lucrative contracts. In fact the President should be “addressing” us weekly on radio through an actor’s voice, and I can assure you George that this health talk will come to an end. Free advice to you George, take it or leave it. I don’t know why you have not thought of this idea George.

    • I would recommend that they employ Jeff Dunham – he’s a great ventriloquist. All he would have to do is stand next to Sata whenever they decide to show him in public and all is solved.
Who’s going to be able to tell that the voice coming out of Sata’s mouth is actually Jeff talking? He would, however, have to undergo some short orientation to master Sata’s croaky voice.

  15. Mr Chella ur ryt its petty and extremely primitive of Msoni..We did not bring michael in office to be posing like a pop star in front of cameras..We don’t need to see him at every second..this is not Rupiah Banda..wavi ornelanji welo..He is a man of Action not a man of who yaps like Mumba and HH..Talk is Cheap!

    • Ohh please you can’t compare RB to this clown. Has he said anything sensible and inspirational in 3 years. Continue making excuses for him, we all know he is incapable of delivering a speech and other people are running the country.

    • We are not asking to see him every second. We are just asking to hear him even just once a week. We have not heard him for seven weeks now!

  16. You anti MCS clowns did you not see pictures of the President talking to his Ministers after the swearing in ceremony. Get a life MCS is well and functioning

  17. @Debo…if u call michael a clown of a of politician then am afraid RB was just a one eyed crocodile looking stupid ***** who still today stinks of corruption…U surely can’t compare michael to RB, RB is the worst president we’ve ever had thank God he ruled for the shortest time ever bcoz zambia went to the dogs under his leadership..

    • @Mutakati
You must be from Mars. Who is more corrupt between RB and this Angle of yours from Mpika? Remember, the man had only Seven guns, Seven wives and about 28 children averaging 4 Per wife.
The man has corrupt ways of appointing people to public office, corruptly moves government agencies to operate behind curtains like him at State House, Allows his newly wedded son to go bonking in State vehicles under VIP protection. Just accept that the man is stinking corruption that even perfume from Paris can not suppress.
‘Nawo gule’, we still have months to play the hide and seek game.

    • @ 20.1 JOKO. I don’t know where you have been but if you believe that he only had 7 guns then you will believe anything. Those who know him will tell you that he owns several houses especially in the Kabwata area – which he did not declare which should be an issue.

    • @ 20.1 Joko – Do you really believe that Sata had only 7 guns? He was only being economical with the truth because we know he owns several houses.

    • @ Mutakati
Michael Sata is the worst President Zambia has ever had. Maybe he’s just better than Admiral General Aladeen of Wadiya.

    • Am pro mmd.If RB was still president,he was going to sell this nation. His children were involved in all be state projects.Even the OP used to report to James.Any big project in any ministry had to pass through James.lets call a spade a spade.RB was just lucky to ride on ,on what Mwanawasa had built. That why am happy of the man of God who is bring sanity in the party…

  18. Chella is the most incompetent presidential spokesperson Zambia has ever had!
All he know is to boast and insult whenever he responds!! One day we will be together in opposition. Hope you have have stolen enough to pay lawyers when your time comes.

  19. If Chellah was smart, he should not have gone on the defensive. Instead, he should have apologised for a ‘technical fault’ on the recording equipment that led to loss of sound. Zambians are so gullible and we would have believed his ‘little lie’. How many lies have zambians endured since ‘diesel from grass’ scandal? Every president in zambia have been telling lies, even KK once said ” lies in the morning, lies in the afternoon and lies at night”…..and he never stopped lying.

  20. For sure iyi ni Dont Kubeba………!!!

But we will continue pRaying HEC Micheal Sata.

    God is leading Zambia.

  21. I really cant wait to see how some of these charecters will behave the day HEMS leaves state house. There will be gnashing and gnawing of teeth

  22. P.F is doing a very good job I saw the president that’s good enough for me, people are always complaining first It was the president is dead, Chellah showed us pictures, then people started saying they past photos. Then the gentleman gives us a video coverage recording which can not be disputed of a very alive president you are saying we want to hear him speak! when we hear him speak you will start saying something else God knows what. Mr President soof us are praying for you to enjoy good health and finish the job God set for you

  23. For 50 years I have never seen a swearing ceremony done in mute or sign language. Three years ago these ceremonies were broadcast on news to the Zambian public we heard the president speak, but what has now changed to have have muted ceremonies. Is this the meaning of ” the present is happy and working” at state house. Are we going to have a muted campaign in 2016? How are the people going to trust politicians about the president’s health? It will just prove that the president is too ill to even speak let alone carry out the function of the presidency.

    • We have to be serious as Zambians with what is happening in our Country Zambia.Don’t you think it is possible to do plastic surgery of another man and dress him as sata?what they are doing now is simply to teach that ***** how to speak like sata. An fortunetly he has failed to catch up easily as may not be a Zambian.Kasebanya can do that.No one has answered my question up to now .What happened on on 29th June,2014 ,at around 02:00hrs?

  24. Cancer of the tongue. How do yo expect him to talk with such a serious illness that affects his ability to speak.

  25. I know Chellah is a retard, but now I`m beginning to wonder if the is normal. Shocked that a Press advisor the President can issue such a statement. Just wonder what the international community think of Zambia when they such statements from State House. Really a shame!

  26. It just goes to show how incompetent his handlers and this entire govt are… with all govt machinery and propaganda at their disposal they can’t even fake his voice. They are already lying to us and bent on trying hard to convince us that their person is well, so why can’tthey do a bbetter job at their lies anyway? Morden technology can even show a dead 2PAC singing and dancing live on stage stage today and you would think these clowns could do better even at photo shopping his still pictures.

  27. “…..the President is well and working especially that he has been recently been seen on Television and in recent pictures when he sworn-in the new Attorney General Musa Mwenye and Solicitor General Abraham Mwansa at State House..”
Now Professor Chellah has me thoroughly confused, I thought that the silent motion pictures are the very question Nason Msoni is asking about. Why not just tell people that ZANIS had a technical fault with the video components of their cameras, but then he wasn’t even shown speaking so this could raise other questions, so just tell Nason to shut up!

  28. Our president is working to develop the country. Those who have not seen the unprecedented development across the country are not normal people. They belong to the underworld.

    • I’m shocked that you cannot realize that our President is UNWELL. you need to accept a situation like this one in order to find a solution and possibly recover quickly if a bad thing happened…like DEATH. Reality is generally very painful, but the healing it brings is MASSIVE. Take this direction for you own good as an INDIVIDUAL

  29. Ladies and Gentlemen, what you heard from Mr George Chella is the colour of bread and butter. As the spokesperson for the highest office of our land, George needs to learn to be sober and level minded and not to just respond without reasoning. Mr. Msoni qualified his statement by going an extra mile by giving a clear explanation why the voice of the people’s employee “The President”is important. What Chella does not seem to fathom is the fact that he is supposed to be the face of the president and consequently the face of the current PF Govt.

  30. Away from the topic, I know there will be no story about the new investor who has invested in Mulungushi Textile in Kabwe. How come there is no such an article ba Lusaka times? Are you UPND or NMD?

  31. As we all know the man, he loves the sound of his voice more than anything else. For him to be mute, something must be dead wrong. As for Chela, only time will tell but from all indications, you might end up in jail for all this deception.

  32. Its only human to wish the President well until his term expires. Its COSTLY to hold early elections and Zambians need to think critically before electing the new president.Zambians lets wish the President well and avoid unwarranted comments like the ones from JayJay and this cronies.

  33. There is no big deal here. This is a simple and common problem of laryngitis: your vocal cords becomes inflamed or irritated.
This swelling causes distortion of the sounds produced by air passing over them. As a result, your voice sounds hoarse.
In some cases of laryngitis, your voice can become almost undetectable. So; let us wish our esteemed President quick recovery

  34. @sindo wa muzi
HH is exciting: brave-new-world! Mazoka; someone I knew in blood and flesh, at Mungwi, one year below me, hell of a nice person! Before elections, there is HH in Bwile; before trying to pay curtesesy call at Mwinelubemba. After elections, you will not see him there.
All Kolwestans OUT of his administration; he has his prize; we are the toilet paper or condoms; to be thrown away after his pleasure. We have seen it before.
