Republican vice-President Guy Scott believes Chipolopolo lacked confidence in Saturday’s home 2015 Africa Cup qualifier against Mozambique which finished scoreless at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in Ndola.
Honour Janza’s Zambian side failed to impress in their opening Group F encounter much to the disappointment of fans who thronged Levy Mwanawasa.
In a post-match interview, Scott said he would have loved to see Zambia start the Morocco 2015 AFCON qualifiers with a better result.
“It is better to start with a bang. We need a little bit more confidence. They were lacking a little bit of punch there,” he said.
Scott consoled the vanquished Chipolopolo squad.
“They have done it before; they have taken the Africa Cup. We have to beat them when we get to Mozambique you know Zambia loves to be an underdog,” he added.
It was a scary day, with Ba Sata out for first time in months, and Kambwili who like attacking referees in attendance….
PF11 Played like the suffered Power Failure! perhaps they need better motivation- eg visit to dressing room by Presido or even Veep!
Dressing rooms with brown envelopes, lol
Don’t support them next time and you will see them win, that’s their custom. When ever funs are highly expectant, the Chipolopolo boys lose.
Let the coach not use those tired legs in the name of professionals. He should come up with a different team of young stars like the ones who played against sudan. The issue of experienced players does not arise as they are the ones who disappointed us. Look at what south Africa did with fresh and young talented new crop of players. We equally have a lot of talented young men who can do us proud. Otherwise expect the worst thrashing at the hands of Cape verde if the same old guys will be featured.
