Late President Michael Sata’s son Mulenga has advised people that have launched his campaigns for the presidency to immediately stop.

Mulenga urged those interested in propelling him to State House to allow him time to mourn his late father. He said he is not interesting in pursuing higher office at this stage adding that now is the time to mourn.Mulenga also said he was disappointed that some people? printed campaign T-shirts and gave some cares to wear at the airport during the arrival of his late father’s body.

He said he was not even aware that some people would go the extent of printing Tshirts bearing campaign messages at this stage.Mulenga has since called on all PF members to exercise restraint and allow the nation to mourn Mr Sata in dignity. He said launching presidential campaigns now has the potential of adding to the already high tensions in the party.

    • The problem in Zambia is that parties are being seen as family properties and not national organizations. People should learn from UNIP, which has since died because of the selfishness of the Kaunda dynasty. No one should rise on account of similarity in surnames.

    • Mr Mulenga Sata, this message is too late. The first cut is the deepest and the nation already understand your positioning for this post. Too little too late sir.

    • What a hypocrite and liar, Mulenga Sata. Its only a few days ago when he boarsted of being in Sata’s school and could not see why he would not stand for presidency, as he is itchy to continue his father’s Donchi Kubeba sickness.
Mulenga is just ashamed that he could not wait to bury his father, and the hypocrite today wants people to believe otherwise, “upuba”!
Moreover, Mulenga Sata’s mother is Malawian, therefore Mulenga is not admissible in standing for presidential elections.
The dog seller wants to be the president? Tell us what caused the “fit, health and working at State House” Sata to die from a “medical check up”?
Katema, Kalaba, Shamenda, Kaseba, Lubinda, Kabimba, Kambwili, Chikwanda, Ed Lungu and all PF cadres are pathetic failures and liars who lied that Sata was…

    • HE DONCHI QUALIFY and if they change the parentage clause BONSE will come and campaign for the post. People with real money and backing, not cheap skates with no class, forsight or morals.

    • Mulenga is such a hipocrite and an opportunist. He was busy raising the PF fist at the very caders with placards calling for continuity. Who in Zambia could have sanctioned the printing of t-shirts in his name without his full knowledge apart from his inner circles who now have the money? He was up at the crack of dawn to attend the crisis meeting at Guy Scott’s residency instead of being at the funeral house attending to matters of the family as the eldest son. What was he doing at Scott’s house when it was a matter for the central committee? Did he hope to hear is name floated for some key position? Now that all but his name was floated, he wants to pretend that he wants to mourn his father? What a loser…

    • This boy is very Stu.pid. When he arrived at KKIA, he was there greeting the same Campaigners / Supporters with these burners? Now he is insulting them?? People looking at Mulenga as Presidential Material are also very fo.olish?? You mean they can’t see that the boy is so dull?? His father’s Presidency is what gave him the chance to be Lusaka Mayor, nothing else.
I blame councilors for the nonsense just to impress SATA. Now the man is gone. Let Mulenga also leave LCC, because there is nothing he has done as mayor of Lusaka.

    • Cape Town – On his deathbed in a London hospital a couple of weeks ago, Zambian president Michael Sata is said to have dictated a note in which he named his preferred successor.

His name is Given Lubinda, a former minister in Sata’s government, but who is currently relegated to the backbench after a run-in with senior party officials. When asked about this, Lubinda said he had heard of the development, but he would not comment further.

The meeting in London was attended by Sata’s wife, Christine Kaseba, a son from a previous marriage, Mulenga Sata, now mayor of the Zambian capital, Lusaka, an official from the UK foreign office, Sata’s security and medical staff.

Since the president died on 28 October, divisions within the late Sata’s ruling party, the Patriotic Front (PF)…

  1. Though I have taken leave from blogging, I wish to commend this gallant man Mulenga Sata for his leadership qualities. He is a true patriot who deserves our support. Please give this man all the respect he deserves because he has been reserved as a future president of this great country.
Am still in the state of mourning, therefore wont be available for blogging until after the burial of the King on November. I have suspended all my leisure activities, work and other family engagements in order to give Sata a befitting send-off.

    • Jojo unless Sata was that close to you, your life must not come to a standstill. You must continue providing for your family!

The deceased was not a King unless your inference is based on his Nick name “King Cobra”. Save for God, we should not worship any being.

Unless you have a beneficial interest, I cannot understand why you would for a moment think that Mulenga should succeed his father. For I know his prominence to public and party offices has singularly been his riding his father’s bicycle! He is a nonenity in his own self.

I urge you to wash you eyes and see.

    • Please fcuk off and jump in the grave with sata this Tuesday. Leadership qualities based on what? The number of dogs he sold?? Stup!d twat.

  2. just campaign baby cobra. your father will not come back to comdemn you. he is already with with the devil for muyaya

    • Bet you know hell very well huh? Bwalya Chiselema ulekwatako amano. May your flesh get devoured before you die a very painful death.

  3. This is very doubtful. When you read between the lines surely you cannot believe whether the man in question means what he is saying. However, the truth will still come out one day.

  4. But does Mulenga Sata and his cadres know that he can only be presidential candidate once we have a new constitution that his father denied us? That is the point he should have made after saying that we are in mourning period. By simply saying he is not interested to be president is not complete because even he was interested he is not eligible.

  5. Reverse Psychology! The truth is this chap wants to stand and is already campaigning, didn’t you say your father schooled you and you wouldnt mind taking over? You said that at the airport before your fathers body touched down at KK airport. You are secretly campaigning we know, but that wont work because you are ineligible your mother is not a Zambian. The PF should listen to what the Zambians are saying. If you want to remain in government on January 29th.

  6. @jojo,
Really for me there is nothing positive to talk about mulenga sata. The man is too selfish. Imagine a man trying to grab all the positions in PF riding on the back and popularity of his father. He is a ward councilor, mayor of Lusaka, pf district chairman Lusaka district and chairman of Local Government Association of Zambia. All these positions were not contested but grabbed unopposed except that of councilor. you can see that the man was using his father to intimidate others to get all these position without being challenged. This does not usually happen in a democracy. There is literally nothing to be proud of this man, really.

  7. Silly Dull Youths….cant even spell WISH…kikikikikiki…even I wouldn’t allow such a dull bunch to campaign for me…..

  8. Plz if th PF z to continue, let them nominate th 1st Lady Dr Kaseba Sata C as their Presidential Candidate….only with her did H.E Sata share his vision with……Viva Mother on th Nation Dr Kaseba Sata!!!!!!!!!

  9. DON’T FEAR MENTION THEM IT WAS GBM WHO PRINTED T-SHIRTS FOR CAMPAIGNS, IAM NOT SURE WHY HE DID THAT BUT TRUELY SPEAKING HE WAS WRONG , IT SIGNALS THAT HE WAS HAPPY THAT COBRA IS NO MORE. On you mulenga the PRESIDENCY is yours Zambia is tired of recycled and old leaders we want young ones in the same age group like KENYATA, KABILA etc not EDGAR LUNGU, BASHI NONO, but one thing STOP those tuma bored head YOUR father didn’t like people who didn’t keep HAIR so what legacy are you bringing now, ELO improve your ENGLISH ACCENT that befitS a modern young man like CHIPIMO

  10. You should have said that at the Airport upon arrival. This time it may look like you have hit the unfavourable realities. You are the one to blame sonny. Why have you kept quiet this long.

  11. Those who can’t see it coming! here is what is Going to play out when his excellence has been put to rest. it is true that mulenga does have his own Presidential ambitions but he has quickly realised he can’t pull it off especially with Lungu being such a darling of the People and being more propeller than most potential candidates. So he will throw his support behind Lungu, hopping Lungu will keep him closer for future possibility of him leading PF and eventually assuming the Presidency.

  12. This is an after thought bwana!you already made a mistake at the airport last saturday.you cant win now if you stand but in the future since you’re young voters may come to consider you!All well meaning PF senior members must just rally behind Edgar Lungu as he is Sata’s and us voters favourite!God bless Zambia and RIP our beloved Sata!

  13. The beans has already been spilt. you made mistake when you made that ambitous inerview at the airport wen our presidents body had not even touched the zambian soil. You have shown your true colours. I don’t think Zambians will ever vote for you. If we liked Micheal it doesn’t mean we like you. You dont seem to have the qualities that you dad had. This is not a monarchy.

  14. All our past presidents had surnames that ended with the letter ‘a’…Kaunda, Chiluba, Mwanawasa, Banda and Sata. This muppet probably thinks he stands a chance. Forget it!!!!!!

  15. Our national should be at real peace and not at least. Let’s respect our departed president my fellow homo serpiens the libert that is lorming at our state is so gudiscated that it only need our unity.

  16. Dear Zambians, what is worrying me is the way we Zambians behave. You see this Cartel has been killing people for along time ago and as Zambians we are just quiet. Who is Mmembe that can be arrested for alot of crimes commited in Zambia? If left an checked membe can put zambia in problems.these black mailer are at work. No one should trust them.

  17. fresh blood is what we need yes, but not munlenga sata, not taking anythinng from him. consider Hon kalaba the Bahati Mp is one person who can captain the ship for remainder of this term.

    • Hon Kalaba??? where did that come from. He is not even anywhere near the hierachy of madness from which these people will pick a leader. You must be in very deep slumber.

  18. i for one is not voting for PF AGAIN. what they condemned under MMD still continued. land grabbing, marching without permit for the rulking party, the police just watching in the name of boma ni boma. look at how lawlessness has pernetrated their camp. do i honestly want that to continue for 2 more years. definitely not. Sata was PF and PF was Sata. period. Sata called all of you useless and you were laughing now you want to rule us. over my dead heels.

  19. There is an over assumption that all Zambians are PF, in 2011 people voted for Sata the man and not PF per se, so all these President wannabes under PF do not come near to Sata no wonder he called his ministers useless- non of them make a grade!! Mulenga miscalculated and boobed big time, would advise him to expend his energies in business, I believe the puppy business gave him a lot of insights.

  20. I reserved my comment yesterday over the unfolding events in the ruling PF. The appeal in my view was wrongly directed to Dr. Scott. My appeal is to ask Hon. Lungu to sober up. The issue of saying that he gave up power for the sake of Zambia’s peace is a terminological in exactitude. Dr Scott is by law the VP of Zambia, unless we would like to disregard the constitution. Hon. Lungu sure, you are the Defence and Justice Minister, SG of PF, in addition, you want to be Acting President, really? Is that not being power hungry? Besides, ba Kapata, ba GBM, ba Kambwili, ba Sampa, including ba Lungu, is that what I saw on ZNBC news (19:00hrs) the way you are going to mourn the man who gave you an opportunity to serve in his administration? Shall we mourn our President with dignity he deserves.

  21. Mulenga, you have conveniently forgotten that you were the one chanting with your supporters at the airport, how can you now say otherwise. Is it because I told you to have respect for your father? You see, it is completely in order for you to support someone else besides yourself for the presidency of Zambia. Honestly do you think Zambia is a dynasty where leadership can be handed over within the family? Remember Wezi Kaunda, as dull as he was, he thought he was material to take over from his father, to a point where they differed with his brother. Zambia is never short of leaders, let identify a young vibrant visionary to take this country forward. This person is NOT hh, Nevers or Mulenga Sata, not this time around. Pray Zambia Pray.

  22. The die is cast. From the look of things Zambians have endorsed Mr.Lungu!Without even analysing critically the type of person he is.We made that mistake once when Mwanawasa left Banda as acting president. We all thought there will be continuity, but we were wrong.
Now we are all emotional and thinking that Mr.Lungu is Sata incarnation.
When are we ever going to have a credible president in Zambia. One who will unite us as ONE ZAMBIA ONE NATION UNDER GOD?

  23. My friend, some of us are not ignorant or stupid, the ship has already sailed, next time wake up early (chenda double agent). The Zambian media have to be careful on what they are reporting. How are we supposed to trust them if they are promoting racism, lies, and dangerous people (Zambia is burning (Western media, cnn, bbc, Al-Jazeera etc) where did they get this information (the Zambian media)? These people they are promoting will start clamping down on them as soon as they report anything negative about them. They will then run to the west crying foul. The west will be like remember Scott and bang, game over their goes their business. Am glad peace has retained to Zambia.

  24. Ok Mulenga, let’s assume for a moment that you are telling the truth that you didn’t organize this campaign by these people.
It means your supporters are uncouth and did not know that you are a cultured person whose father had died and that at such a time, you their cultured and mature leader would require peace and dignity?
We therefore refuse your leadership because your support base is questionable.

  25. kwena kids bamu vigololo above muli fikopo. Who tells floating mulenga sata as pf presidential candidate is turning zambia into a monarchy. What warped thinking is this? Mulenga ll go thru an election competing with all these hungers around, so whats this dung brainles people are trying to peddle. In india the largest democracy indira and rajiv ghandi, in the US the best democracy george h w and george w bush, in kenya jomo and uhuru kenyatta, in the UK david and micheal milliband, in the US mr and clinton. all the cases above the elections were conduted and won not what you warped vigololo kids a re yapping

  26. analyse the following types of religious studies;catechesis, bible knowledge, religious instruction and religious education.

  27. Mulenga has failed a very simple test. Immediately the journalist asked the question of succession, if he was a leader and wise. His brain could have picked it up very quickly and could have answered that , we cannot discuss that issue for now before I even bury my father. But instead the guy answered very quickly that he was ready and wants to blame the journalist now. Bwana, you are not ready.

  28. I think I have a solution. Since there is clearly noone who can lead us in PF while the UPND is clearly the wrong party to lead Zambia, Can we take HH back to the PF-UPND thing. He can then take over as Zambia’s President. How about that? Clever eh?
