PATRIOTIC Front (PF )Livingstone District Chairperson Fred Chibuye says Acting President Guy Scott’s decision to fire Edger Lungu as party Secretary General (SG) was within the confines of the party constitution.

Commenting on the recent developments in the ruling PF and subsequent firing of the just appointed SG Lungu by Dr Scott, Mr Chibuye said there was nothing wrong with Mr Lungu’s dismissal because the Acting president did so with the blessings of the party constitution.

Mr Chibuye said as members, it was important for them to respect the party hierarchy in order to avoid un-necessary conflict.

“What the Party President Dr Scott has done is within the party constitution. Our party constitution does not limit the acting president on what he can or cannot do,” Mr Chibuye said.

He said it was important for the party to remain united at all levels and structures and respect the leadership.

Mr Chibuye said Dr Scott was now the party’s president and his decisions needed to be followed and respected.

“Dr Scott for now is our party President and we agree to follow whatever decisions he makes, and I urge all party members in other districts to do the same,” Mr Chibuye said.

And commenting on concerns that the party in the District was divided and that they were having parrarel mourning sites, Mr Chibuye said the official mourning site that was recognized in Livingstone for both the party and Government was the Mukuni Park.

He said if other party members chose to Mourn Mr Sata from the Livingstone Golf club or anywhere else, they were free to do so but their activities were not going to be recognized by government.

Mr Chibuye said it was important for members to show some respect for the late President Sata by getting united and avoiding activities that would bring divisions in the party.

“The official mourning place here in Livingstone is the Mukuni Park. If there are any party members who have decided to mourn from The Golf Club or anywhere else, that’s their choice, but for government and the party the recognized mourning site is the Mukuni Park,” Mr Chibuye said.

    • Just too late. Edgar Lungu is the next PF and Republican President. We are not short of Zambian’s to be president to be lead by a pig.

Thank you Central Committee and Zambians for standing up for what’s right. We will decide Scott’s fate after the mourning period is over.

    • I just hope scott has chost be PFen the winning side, because even he wont be Pf president when the mourning is over

    • @OldRugsOut, at the rate you are going you are ushering in a third state funeral if you don’t look at more factors this time around. I just find Afrikans and Zambians in particular hilarious. They continue to do the same thing expecting a different result. It boggles even a baby’s mind. By the way, you must also examine what caused his disbarring and how it was reinstated. Those are also campaign points. We had better stop the habit of the sympathy vote once and for all. This is a seond chance given on a silver platter after the RB debacle.

    • @Musangu…you are very right that this article is useless. Not only is it stale news but Mr Chibuye of Southern Province should have quoted the provisions of the Constitution which gave Guy the power to dismiss Lungu. Pf and its problems are endless due to the fact that they speak from without; no laws whatsoever.

  1. So Hon Chilangwa has also received his letter from scot rescinding his earlier decision .He has made history as the shortest
serving SG.Hope they are preparing his terminal benefits!!!

  2. Sir uur a bit lost the issue is not about constituition but timing.his timing showed there are behind the scenes working.wen sata fired kabimba there was no protest.now scott fires lungu why are there protests.the reason is its not done on good faith

    • point of correction pipo didn’t protest kabimbas removal because they were scared of him all the pf bullies knew that he was going to take over that’s why now they want to support edgar who they know they can push around and mind you the night b4 edgar was fired there was a meeting of the bullies at which edgar was invited tho reports indicate he refused to attend..

  3. Ba Chibuye muli kabwa licking Scotts B.al.ls. now that the decision is rescinded balaisa ba PF youth baku pase since thats how you run your party..popcorns please for this biggest circus of the century!

    • Is your Kabimba a successful lawyer? How many court cases has won. Do you also know that this same kabimba has never won an election?

    • @7,My friend the Zambians have been misled, crooked and deceived to the point where they take mediocrity as excellence.
I admire Americans. They vote based on current issues and not what Obama said 6 years ago.
Take my word,Zambians have already made up their minds.Even if Lungu is diabetic or alcoholic, they are saying no one is an angel.
      It’s a shame ! Natu sebana kuno.

  4. Ba Chibuye, we condemned Guy Scott because of timing. He could have done whatever he did after burial so that our traditional cultures are respected.

    • It is just lack of a clear disciplinary code of conduct in PF. Anyone and everyone can speak on behalf of the party hence the inconsistency and the problems which follows. Anyways the PF party has engaged the auto-destruction mode.

  5. what is this mr. Chibuye? if you want to be firing each other do it after we bury our beloved late president. can’t you just wait for the funerals.

  6. Mr Chibuye should by now know that he is supporting the unsupportable- the cartel has no power what so ever in the coming election. Theres no one fred mmembe will give power this time. If anything, the masses will vote for whoever is against fred mmembe and his cartel.

  7. It’s always important to follow hierarchy: why should a district chairperson who is kilometers away, become a spokesperson of the part?

    Order!!!

Anyway some of us are not surprised, and all those close to me know that what i said then is what is unfolding………..

  8. IT IS VERY CLEAR THAT THERE IS INDICIPLINE IN PF. THEIR OWN VICE PRESIDENT IS NOT RESPECTED. EVEN IF THE TIMING OF FIRING WAS WRONG, YOU DONT DISCREDIT YOUR LEADER IN PUBLIC LIKE THAT. YOU ARE ”WASHING DIRTY PANTS IN PUBLIC”. YOUR ACTING PRESIDENT MADE A DECISION. AND YOU MUST FOLLOW IT. EVERY JIM , JACK AND MARY DISPARAGED THEIR OWN PRESIDENT IN PUBLIC. IT SHOWS THAT ANY LEADER YOU CHOOSE WILL BE TREATED IN THE SAME WAY. EDGAR LUNGU IS A WEAKLING. HE CANNOT CHALLENGE THUGS AND STRONGHOLDS LIKE NSANDA, KAMBWILI AND GBM. HE WILL BE KICKED RIGHT , LEFT AND CENTRE AND EVENTUALLY THROWN AWAY.

  9. This CHIBUYE cadre has misplaced statements because those complaining are talking about timings. Besides, even if Chibuye is demanding from party members respect, what did Edgar do to justify Guy’s actions. Anyway, I too, suspect that Chibuye was interviewed by a journalist and because he has a feeble mind, he just waffled without thinking critically. Journalists are very CUNNING. Ask Nevers MUMBA what costed his VEEP then – journalist.

  10. So this Lungu what is it that we are wanting so much. Can someone tell me something different from the list below.
    1) Lungu drinks alot and he is an addict of ka beer.
    2) Lungu swindled people who came to his law firm resulting in his firm closed.
    3) Zambia watchdog reports that he has issues with kidney & sugar.
    4) Lungu been the lawyer practicing Zambian constitution should have not given power to Scott if he new very well that Scott does not qualify. He has simply shown us that he is a weak person whom investers will sh*t on easily. this reason is enough to give Lungu red card for not been firm.
With these atributes I thing Zambia does not need another luggage in state house. I see Scott to be strong person that is why he took that firm decision to fire Lungu.

  11. Why are all OUR FORMER FIRST LADY WIDOWS NOT REMARRIED, WE HAVE MAUREEN MWANAWASA, VERA AND REGINA CHILUBA, NOW CHRISTINE KASEBA? Do men fear them? the LIKES of bashi NONO, KAMBWILI, GBM, PLEASE APPROACH THESE WOMEN THEY NEED SERVICE, FOR ME I WILL TRY MY LUCK ON THE LATEST ONE COS I THINK NYELE CHILINAYO

  12. @Old rugsOut, are you seriously saying Edgar Lungu is our next president? Are you mad?

Whats wrong with you Zambians, why do you get blown so easily by the wind.

You want to put a drunkard in state house, a person who has stolen so much money from clients, honestly!!!

You zambians, you never learn, or is it just that you are slightly of a lesser intelligent people among africans, cowards and docile and lazy.

  13. Do not worry Chibuye. We shall fire Edgar again after the funeral. We have demonstrated already that we have teeth that can bite deep into the flesh. Watch us very carefully. We do not tolerate nonsense. All these problems are as a result of the person who has passed on not acting on problems when they surfaced. He has left a lot of presidents in PF like president Kambwili, president GBM, president Mile Sampa, president Edgar Lungu, president Mulenga Sata. This was all as a result of lack of leadership on the immediate past incumbent.

  14. I think the worst decision in this hiccup was timing. I supported Sata on economic and infrastructure development agenda; what some PF cadres have been doing is morally wrong, and needs checking. Other if anyone succeed in power, only Sata’s agenda for development will resurrect the fame of the party. It is those roads, clinics, schools, and houses that made PF and Sata famous. Check the moral standards, or PF will loos it all.

    • It is not only the roads and schools remember RB was also constructing many roads and schools from mwanawasa projects and he did not have pipo to speak about these projects as easterners do not involve themselves in partisan politics like Bembas. They portrait that all the schools and roads started by Mwanawasa were built by Sata. They know how to blow the trampet loud even form borrowed money Kaloba.Any PF will be history come January.VIVA HH.

  15. Fred Chibuye is so ignorant, how come he is talking about the issue that has been handled professionally……….big headed Fred, we want to put to rest the big man and politics aside. Can the high office suspend this big headed man Fred Chibuye

  16. As decisions are made on behalf of people, let there be conscience that all of us will one day be answerable to God on our actions. Sincerity is important when dealing with each other. Life here on earth is temporal, so let us not forget that we are just passing through the earth and any time all of us our time will catch up. Tearing each other is never a solution to any problem or else we create more problems to ourselves. The atmosphere is that of mourning, let us as nation mourn with dignity and honor within ourselves. Political aspirations should be set aside for now until at right time. Hey guys and girls, can all be level headed please

  17. PF IS VERY INDISCIPLINED PARTY.REMBER THE FRANCAS IN LIVINGSTONE FEW WEEKS AGO.EVEN IF DR SCOT CUD HAVE WAITED TO FIRE LUNGU THERE WAS NO NEED TO CALL DISCREDIT HIM PUBLICLY.WE CAN NOT ALLOW PEOPLE FULL OF HATE TO RULE US.PF HAS DISAPPOINTED ZAMBIANS.THEY ARE LIKE A WOMA OR MAN WHO EXPOSE ONE ANOTHER PUBLICLY AFTER A QUARREL.ALL THOSE PROTESTS WERE ORGANISED BY SOME DISGRUNTLED LEADERS.

  18. Dear Chairperson Fred Chibuye

PF has already asked PF members to stop making comments to the press. I doubt you asked permission for this statement which is contradictory to the reinstatement of Lungu. PF members really should try not to act so badly to one another. The fact is allowing Lungu, a credible and suitable candidate to lead PF until 2016 is the best solution for PF. Lungu may be perceived as dull, but truthfully that is precisely the quality Zambia needs at this moment. After all the drama and trauma of Sata we need a quiet calmer period where we can concentrate on putting Sata’s infrastructure master plan, back together again. We need by 2016, to have progressed his plan. If you are a die hard PF member then you should see wisdom in this. This will ensure victory.

  19. These are Satanists. When Wynter Kabimba was fired recently, they gave accolades to the one who fired him and convened a party to celebrate Kabimba’s political demise. When Edgar Lungu got fired under similar circumstances, they viciously turned on the one who fired him, cursed and called him all sorts of innuendos and convened an emergency meeting to have Lungu reinstated. Demons are on the rampage.

  20. All I have to say is What a naiive guy. How can you show your hand like this?? He will be left isolated with no allies. At least he should have been clever enough to wait before firmly broadcasting his alliances. What a Foo.l!!

  21. Typically, you can only know your true character when faced with pressure: watch how you conduct and handle yourself under pressure or trial. From some of the foul blogs posted here, it’s unfortunate that Zambia is host to some foul mouthed bigots who contribute nothing positive to the advancement of our country. You either talk tribe, race or region! I’m ashamed as a Zambian to be associated with such.High time we grow up and demonstrate a higher calibre of discourse. Democracy needs someone to care for it in Zambia. Who will do it? PF so far has proved to be a let down!
