Kalabo woman commits suicide after dispute with her eight children

A 54 year old womn of Kalabo district in western Province has committed suicide after a domestic dispute with her eight children.

The deceased has been identified as Namakao Muliokela who wife to Patriotic Front (PF) Kalabo Central Constituency Chairperson Silumesi Nawa.

Mr Nawa confirmed the development to ZANIS yesterday evening and explained that the couple had been having problems with their eight children due to their unruly behaviour.

The children who were fond of harassing their parents, this time around took advantage of the absence of the father who had gone to Lusaka to attend to late President Michael Sata’s funeral and harassed their mother.

Mr Nawa said his wife could not take it anymore and decided to take her own life by consuming unknown poisonous substance on Thursday around 15:00 hours at their home in Yeta Compound.

Neighbours to the deceased rushed her to Kalabo District Hospital where she died few minutes later.

The body of the deceased is lying in Kalabo District Hospital Mortuary.

  1. Oh shame..!!!

Poor woman you should have waited to cast your vote on Myles Lungu that’s when u could have died.

Anyway your 8 children will cast, no worries

    Chao

    • I would do the same if I had that many children!

1 or 2 children are enough. The notion that children are a gift from God is a myth. Some children can be the rock that sank you!

  2. This chairman has failed to manage a family of eight . The question is what leadership is at Constituency by this man Nawa. Its really Pathetic Formation (PF) Condolencies though.

  3. I’m sure people like this die all across Zambia for reasons that defy reason. This one here is a political story, not random. In any case, I never knew this woman so I hope our ancestors sort her out when she gets to the other side. As for her kids, I hope they can live with the guilt of f*cking up their own mother. I mean, if this story is to be taken at face value.
