Mopani Copper Mines has appointed Evaristo Kabila as Nkana chairman.
Mopani engineering manager Kabila, who was unveiled on Thursday, takes over from John Chiwele.
Chiwele leaves the post after a two and half years reign in which Nkana reached the group stage of the 2014 CAF Confederation Cup beside winning their 12th FAZ Super League title in 2013.
The mining firm has further added Mopani spokesman Cephas Sinyangwe to the executive as committee member.
Sinyangwe replaces Stanley Kaseko who is now Chipolopolo deputy team manager.
The rest of the executive members have retained their positions.
“We will support you and will ensure that as much as possible the team is taken care of.
The sponsors and supporters hopes for silverware in 2015 and will be on you and the players,” New Mopani board chairman Moses Chilangwa told the reconstituted Nkana executive.
Kabila? Wa ku Congo???
Yaba!! How can Nkana let this Kasai to be the Chairman???
Zambia sure…..fyonse ma foreigners!!! Soccer , politics is all ruled by foreigner!
Lusaka Mayor, PF presidency, MMD presidency, Nkana, etc
So…..where is this Kabila from, ba Nkana?
You guys Zambia and Congo share a common border whether you like it or not. That is why this nonsense where you are born in Zambia, and you cant stand for Presidency, as provided for in our current constitution has to be removed.
Some what off topic, but from the political perspective I agree with you. It really is silly that RB who was born in Southern Rhodesia can stand for elections, but his son who was born in Zambia may not because his own father, ie RB is not zambian by birth
Nkana I thought these are elective posts. Besides this nonsense of changing coaches Willy nilly should stop Forthwith.
We are cover ourselves under nationalismam but we are the best in exenophobia as far the SADC is concern. In today giobal village a human being loyality is towards the environment of her or his growth.
Ala calibipa ba Chibungo wesu!
Kabila is very much Zambian and has been supporting Nkana for sometime now. A graduate from CBU and my former room mate, am confident the man will deliver
