Police in Mongu nab PF cadre for assaulting a UPND cadre

Police in Mongu District in Western Province have arrested a Patriotic Front (PF) cadre for allegedly assaulting a United Party for National Development (UPND) cadre.

Western Province Police Commissioner Lombe Kamukoshi confirmed the development this morning saying that Siisi Imasiku a retired Police Officer of Mongu’s Imbowa Compound sustained a cut on the right side of the head after being hit with a plank by Nabiwa Imikendu Imbwae of Airport loyal plots.

Ms. Kamukoshi said that Imasiku was assaulted by Imikendu at Mongu Airport around 10 00 hours yesterday when UPND cadres showed up at the airport with their party President Hakainde Hichilema while the local residents were waiting for the arrival of the Acting President Guy Scott who was on a day’s visit in the Province to inspect various developmental projects.

Ms. Kamukosha said that Imasiku is currently admitted to Lewanika General Hospital and Acting Medical Superintendent Kambinde Likambi has described the victim’s condition as stable and out of danger.

Meanwhile, the Police Commissioner has said she is disturbed with the escalating number of political violence in the province and has warned of stiff punishment against the perpetrators of violence regardless of their political affiliations.

Recently, some cases of violence have been recorded in Mongu district of Western Province that resulted into physical harassments, tearing of party placards and regalia between PF and UPND cadres.

  1. Sadly nothing will come out of this arrest. PF killed a person in Livingstone but UPND was blamed, they killed in chongwe and UPND was blamed. The same in Lusaka where it was said by the medical expert that the cadre died of natural causes. It will not be long before this Imbwae will be released and dine and wine with the PF leaders.

    • PF is a cursed Party. IT has so much blood on its hands, and because of this, it`ll forever be a troubled Party, no matter who its leader is.

    • Why does Edgar Lungu think that that Imbwae, can’t use a prank on him? If I was Lungu I keep myself in Eastern Province, I wouldn’t go to Shawangandu or Mongu…. Mwikala patalala mwine apatalika.

  2. Delayed news can be confusing. So is it late news, LT, or is this breaking news coz we’ve already been arguing over this story and yet here are the answers from the mouth of the police?!?

Either way, I am just glad the guy lived and the perp has been taken in. Still think the powers that be should have cleared the air twenty four hours ago…

    • PF was my party but I know how our leaders tell us to attack anybody against PF. Vote for PF please for us to continue with the legacy.

  3. LT be on top of your reportage over national news, have a long way to be as credible as ZWD reportage. You fail to report another assault of UPND member in Sinda by PF cadres.
You don’t just get it, dwelling on news items already reported by ZWD like some politician claiming will do (parroting) things that HH has made mention in campaigns.
LT be on top of national news, you keep trailing behind ZWD.

  4. Siisi Imasiku bumped his head into a plank which Nabiwa Imikendu was holding. Nabiwa had no intention of setting the plank in motion. According to Nabiwa he was about to put the plank in the safe area behind airport terminal. As PF we want to win the elections peacefully. To this effect we have formally requested ECZ to make arrangements for Siisi Imasiku to vote from his hospital bed.

  5. Eventually!! Now, what are we to make of the PF version of events, given by its SG?
    Anyway better late than never

    • PF are liars. Remember the FO0LISH 90-day formula? They lie without thinking. Fortunately people see through them.

  6. This is great NEWS thank you police officers for the work done.

I know you always try your level BEST best.

  7. PF is a cursed Party. IT has so much blood on its hands, and because of this, it`ll forever be a troubled Party, no matter who its leader is.

  8. BA BLAGO THE CURSED PARTY IS UpDn BECAUSE THEY WILL NEVER WIN ANYTHING. AT LEAST BA PF BA LITEKA.
AS FOR YOU GUYS AFTER 20/01/2015 YOU WILL STILL BE SULKING ON YOUR KEY BOARDS.
YOUR PARTY IS CURSED BECAUSE OF HH, A CHEAT AND A DEVIL WORSHIPPER. TELL HH TO REPENT MAY BE THE LORD WILL ALSO FAVOUR HIM IN 2060. KIKIKIKIKIKI
NEO A LUNGU NI BA KONDA
    2015 ECL
    2016 ECL NAFUTI NAFUTI

  9. Kicks of a dying horse have PF and no one shall see them through. They are drowning. I hear Scortt saying PF is popular in Northwestern province, you shall regret once the elections are on. We hear you got marks in Mufumbwe in a place boarders with Kasempa called Kaminzekenzeke, this time we have marked that point and you develop euro-phobia.
