Lusaka Dynamos seals US$29,000 deal with Huawei

Lusaka Dynamos have signed a US$29,000 short-term deal with Chinese telecoms giant Huawei.

Promoted Dynamos sealed the club’s biggest deal in their history at a ceremony held on Friday at Chrisma Hotel in Lusaka.

The deal is a kit sponsorship package that Huawei will honour for one year and is subject to renewal.

“We have decided to sponsor Lusaka Dynamos because it’s a team that is growing and needs sponsorship. We have given them US$29,000 for kit this season,” Huawei’s government and public affairs director Hansen He said.

Dynamos joins Huawei’s sponsorship portfolio that includes Ajax Cape Town in South Africa, English premiership side Arsenal, French Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint Germain and Bundesliga club Borussia Dortmund.

“This sponsorship symbolises a big step in Lusaka Dynamos going forward,” Dynamos club secretary Madaliso Kamanga said.

“The promotion of the team has given us a headache to find sponsors and we are grateful to Huawei.”

The 35-year-old club remains in private ownership of his founder and chairperson Hanif Adams.

  1. This how cheap our league has become, $29,000 is what a single player gets in conference league (division 4) per year on parttime….anyway good job Hanif!!

    • Appreciate what? When you can negotiate more…this is what happens when you do not know your potential.
      Wake up!!

  2. We don’t known what we are worthy kuZed. No wonder the President instead of mayor went to open a south African own mall in Kitwe.. I get $30k pa. What can that honestly do to a club?
