Science and Technology Minister, Peter Daka says government is finalising a document that will align and interlink academic programmes under his ministry to the University of Zambia.
This will enable applicants from colleges under the Ministry of Science and Technology to be exempted from taking on some courses at the University of Zambia.
Speaking to ZNBC in an interview in Petauke, Mr Daka said his ministry has been working closely with the Ministry of Education in drafting the document, dubbed Zero Entropy.
And Mr. Daka has disclosed that plans are underway to convert the Evelyn Hone College in Lusaka into a public university.
He said a number of diploma programmes at Evelyn Hone College college need to be upgraded to degree level.

How can you convert Evelyn Hone into a public university when you have failed to manage other public universities UNZA and CBU?
so sad #1 pa ZED too much ukubuta!!
Dora looks delicious apa mwe.
#3, U re rite. She looks ****able.
yaaaaaaabaaaa!!!!!!!!!!!!! Dora amatanta walatwipaya.
On the part of having the facility of exemption thats a great idea. But what is disappointing is making Evelyn Hone into a University we cant have too many colleges being turned into universities. If they want universities they should just build new universities rather keeping on converting secondary schools and colleges into universities.
Good idea, but sort out the challeges at UNZA and CBU before you create another monster of a university!
Ba Peter Daka has no neck ayini?typical of abena chipata – eating himself to death.
Guys…lets have respect for our ladies..Hon Dora is a hardworking Zambian lady who deserves our support. The idea is good but the curriculum at Evelyn hone needs to be revised with the input of the academic community. A diploma from Hone must lead to a third year at Unza.
Dora Siliya likes short dresses and I think she has the thighs worth the sho off and worth admiring. They are now darker though. They used to be that pale, brown, ripe orange firm mouthwatering flesh! She used to kill me a lot when she was working for ZNBC. I almost hunted her down, but she got married to some guy who was a Diplomat in Egypt, only to be divorced. I was looking for her before she became Minister. I really want her!!!!! Anyone to help?
You cannot turn all colleges into universities. We also need institutions to produce technicians and technologists. It is not only degree holders that this country needs. If I want my geyser fixed, I am not going to get an engineer from UNZA or CBU to do it. It is a plumber rom Nortec or Lusaka Trades who will do the job.
